-Ryan Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I thought Bill Gates made Apple? o3o Either way though, it's sad that a guy that young died who is obviously important to many people. Quote
Sweetdang Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Bill was Microsoft. :D 56 was very young. Very, very young. Quote
The Meepit Commando Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Yah, 56 is young for anyone especially him though considering that he probably had top-of-the-line insurance. Quote
khaos Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I know. It was on google. But I heard it yesterday from my parents. 56?!? Dang! Young! He will be missed. :'( @Ryan: Bill Gates made Microsoft, which i am planning to maybe by a stroke of luck slightly work for when I am older. :D Here's something that'll cheer you all up: I was never a big fan of Apple besides the phones, but I still feel sorry for all the people who are very saddened by is death, including his family. :'( Quote
Lady Lyuba Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Since Apple rules the world, apparently Steve Jobs owned the world. Well, I wonder who'll "take over the world" now? FOR SALE: 1 PLANET Quote
Ruka Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Steve Jobs is the co-founder of Apple right? If that's a yes... who's the founder then? O.O Quote
Sweetdang Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 There's no founder - there are TWO co-founders! :D Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, I think. Quote
The Score in Blue Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Sweetdang is right. Apple was founded by two, or is it three, people. It's just that Steve Wozniack left, so Steve Jobs remained. I think it's pretty sad that Apple lost their chief product developer as well as their chairman. Quote
khaos Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Maybe THIS will cheer you up?! :O Who was their chairman? :eh: Quote
Mr. X Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 oh my god this is the best ad ever even if I'm a Xbox360/Wii fan... Quote
The Meepit Commando Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I am faaaar to lazy to watch that video, so yah.... Quote
Sweetdang Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Not watching that. :P Did you know that Steve Jobs onyl took $1 a year from the time he became chairman? Since 1997! Quote
Ruka Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 @Mr. X: I'm not watching that (the video) either! @Sweetdang: $1 a year? Are you that serious? :ohno: Quote
Sweetdang Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Yea. Granted he has millions/billions in stocks, but all his money was completely performance based. Company do well = he has money. Company don't = he does not. Quote
Spritzie Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 My sister's friend does that. She ended up buying the coffee shop she'd worked at for years and years. Her and her husband staff it themselves, and the money they pay themselves with is strictly from the tip jars. Everything else goes back into the company. Quote
Sweetdang Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Well, if we're talking about it like that, I guess that's what my dad's been doing the same thing for 4 years. After getting retrenched, he co founded this company with his friend, so we've been living off savings for 4 years. A family of 6 living of savings - tells you how thrifty my parents were! ^_^ Quote
jumpingbeans Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Wow. You look like you could spare me some money. :P In other news, look at my siggie. And be happy. :) Quote
Naamah D. Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I changed my name to something more Halloween esque. I like it, it's fun. Quote
The Meepit Commando Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Not to mention long, I doesn't fit in the section :sad02: , but it's nice regardless Quote
Spritzie Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 The other day, my husband and I were talking about how locally, it's more likely to get snow on Halloween than on Christmas. We just got our first snow of the year yesterday. Has anyone else gotten snow yet? And does anyone else often have snow on Halloween? Quote
rachiee Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Sadly, no. My area usually doesn't get snow until late November or early December at the very earliest. :( Quote
Spritzie Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 We generally get snow early in the year, and late into the next year. 2 years ago, we got our first snow on October 8th, and we got our last snow in May. Quote
The Meepit Commando Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Woah, snow in May, My snow times are almost identical to pyrope's. Quote
Spritzie Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Our weather is super crazy here. We can have 80 degree days in December/January, or even snow in the summer, though that's a lot more rare. Quote
The Meepit Commando Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 o.O I always thought that Colorado was relatively neutral when it came to weather. @47 guests: make an account :graduated:  Quote
