CAV of Gang Green Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 -hugs CAV- That sucks. -whisper- Psssst! Come to my school! 1. You're in middle school. I'm in HS. That can't work. 2. Does it major in astronomy? Art History? That sounds like my least favorite two subjects combined. I'd hate that. I just hate Art. Why would I want to learn about the history of it. The only kind of art I like is film and music, which can go in their own catagories. Quote
-Ryan Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Fine. Then come to my High-school. It has the same name as the Junior High, only a different mascot and their on the same street. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 I just hate Art. Why would I want to learn about the history of it. The only kind of art I like is film and music, which can go in their own catagories. You're the same with me. Music/TV/films are the only kind of Art I like too. Quote
Tyler. Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 um, why does everybody hate art o.o art history sounds awful though but must this be discussed on a day off? Quote
jumpingbeans Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Because, we are here to haunt you of your school displeasures! *makes mysterious noise* Quote
-Ryan Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Tyler, why is your member title still that? I already told you I got rid of the shrine last week. :P Quote
jumpingbeans Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 What? You made a shrine for Tyler and didn't tell me? Then you destroyed the shrine for Tyler and didn't tell me? Then you got me started on a rampage of accusing you and you didn't tell me? Quote
Tyler. Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 You can worship me JB, :P Happy now, Ryan? Quote
jumpingbeans Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 I didn't say I wanted to worship you, did I? Why did you think I wanted to worship you? Why did you think Ryan likes your title now? Why do you think I like it now? Quote
-Ryan Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 No. I am not. Because I only got rid of one of the shrines. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 You mean you had more shrines and didn't tell me? Quote
Divya Bean Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Herm, why doesnt Divya get a shrine? Jk :P About the Art History thing above, I like Art History even though I dont like art. I loved learning that one of the causes of WW2 was that Hitler didnt get into an art school with Jewish people as admission people. Quote
Kuroida Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 I like graphic art but art classes annoy me. I like doing my things my own way. Not what some teacher wants -_- And in gr 10 I had the best history teacher in the world. Totally changed my view on history :P Art history though.....yeah. That's a no For all you people who want to transfer schools....you guys better not come to my school! We have too many ppl as it is! >.< I couldn't get like half my courses because they were full -_- And the hallways are a disaster zone (think rush hour traffic only with kids and backpacks) :P Quote
jumpingbeans Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 I love that idea. Only how about it's for me? And Hitler started a war....because of art? Quote
Divya Bean Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 He didnt start just because of art, that specific incident just sparked his dislike for Jews. Quote
Unstream Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Well I wouldn't go as far to say that it had a major role in WW2. Maybe that it was a contributing factor, but not too much credit should be given to the face that Hitler didn't get into architecture school xD The main reason for WW2 was probably, ironically, WW1, which was even known as the War to End All Wars at its time. Quote
Divya Bean Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Will, so true. It wasnt a real contribution, but I still found it interesting. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 WW2 was in fact caused by WW1. While making the peace treaty, the Allied powers decided that Germany had to pay for all the damages made by the war. While Woodrow Wilson, the US president at the time, disagreed, the decision was made regardless. When the Great Depression occured, a huge percent of Americans lost their jobs, their money, their homes, and more. But while the Great Depression hit America hard, it hit Germany even WORSE. Almost half the country was poor. Then Hitler decided to scapegoat the Jewish for all their problems, including the Depression. Because they were so desperate at the time to get out of the depression by any means neccesary, everyone agreed with Hitler, and made him dictator so he could get them out of the depression. Instead of fixing the country, Hitle made it more corrupt, and then started the Holocaust, the worst genocide of all time. From there, WW2 would then take place. Quote
The Score in Blue Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Gosh. We studied this in Social Studies. That's History and Geography for anybody that doesn't get that. Quote
jumpingbeans Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 I get Social Studies. We're discussing empowerment and stuff in it. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Yes, and I summerized how WW2 started within one paragraph. Quote
-Ryan Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Oh! Oh! Oh! Now summarize the Vietnam war! Quote
The Score in Blue Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 OMG! We studied that too! Who knew war history could be so universal? Quote
-Ryan Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Yeah, but have you studied things that have absolutley nothing to do with your own country? -proudy holds up text book from 6th grade where we did an entire chapter on India culture and where we also had a chapter on China- HA! -walks off proudly- Quote
Unstream Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Well most conflicts that involved the U.S. after WWII could be considered just to be under one blanket cause: to stop the spread of Communism. Y'know what's interesting? Congress apparently hasn't declared war since WWII. Quote
