Hi! I love restocking, it's just so satisfying. I tend to buy items that'll give me a profit margin of >1000 NP. I do a lot of restocking on Half-Price Day, but honestly I don't think the items I'm buying give me that much higher profit margins, there are less items in stock in general, and it's far more stressful with people buying faster out under you. Is this just my experience/am I doing it wrong? Because I think you can make just as much money on a regular day restocking as on a half-price day...

Hi! Longtime TDN-er and recently joined r/Neopets, and I'm curious about any cultural differences or opinions people seem to have about using one or the other, or both. Their attitude of "Don't talk about us on Neopets" and "The place to be without fear or scorn by TNT!" is very interesting. Is that a joke or is it more that they're unhappy with the direction Neopets is going in? Genuinely just curious!

Revel Roundup and Petpet Plunge for sure! I do have Waterfox, but haven't used it much for Neopets, since games were never really what I spent my time on.

Was definitely cathartic for me! I did a hopeful view of 2022 for my second entry. I'm trying to be less of a curmudgeon/pessimist, and am always amazed at how nice it feels to look on the bright side

I just got a new pet slot too, was soo excited since I don't have a premium account! I decided to use it to make a Toy Vandagyre, which I guess is supposed to look like a Furby. So cute and cursed! Cost me a hefty 4.88M NP total, plus the 500 NC from the birthday event. So excited to customize her!

Hi! Hope your week is going well!! I wanted to ask: Has anyone here successfully turned their Neopet into a Robot Neopet using the lab ray? I've been going the Secret Laboratory with my Ogrin for many months now, not every day but at least a few times a week, and absolutely no luck! I've used so many Yellow Ogrin Morphing Potions to turn them back to an Ogrin when necessary, and I don't play Battledome so I don't mind the stats changing, I don't mind the gender being toggled either. Just would like a Robot Ogrin because they look sooo sick. My other pets: I have a Steampunk Techo, a Mutant Poogle, an Elderlygirl Kau, a Baby Techo, and a Maraquan Yurble. (What was that event where you could change your Neopet's color for free? Is that a yearly thing?) TLDR: No luck with Lab Ray, tips on getting a Robot Ogrin?

I've never encountered a supernatural or paranormal event, but I'd be open to one! I tend to be more of a Scully, believing there's a scientific explanation behind why so many people have hard-to-explain experiences. I know for some people the experiences are scary, but for some they serve to help grieve a loved one, like a final goodbye or knowing they'll be okay now. I read that there are only three possibilities: 1. You really saw a ghost, or an alien. 2. You truly, absolutely believe it happened, but it didn't. 3. A person has a reason to lie (which doesn't seem to be the case most of the time I hear stories from people?)

5 Kacheeks is the exact right amount of Kacheeks. I kinda like Neopets that are more... human? With hands free and two legs/two arms, they're cuter and more customizable. Am I the only one?

Once you have about 10,000-20,000 NP handy, do as many Employment Agency jobs as you can, using Jellyneo's Item Database to make sure the job will earn more money than lose you money. The last couple pages usually have the best jobs, but don't be afraid to wait a couple minutes for new jobs to refresh. The fresher ones are more worth your time, but they also are more competitive, so be quick about accepting them. If you're okay losing out on a job, look at the prompt and find the items (but don't buy them yet!) before you accept the job. Accept, then quickly buy the prepared goods to get the time bonus money. Don't buy them before accepting just in case someone gets to the job before you, as that means you're stuck with the items. An easy way to make money off your shop is by using Jellyneo's Item Database and Igloo Garage Sale to get items for cheap and simply resell them. Also, Half-Off Day for the same thing. Have fun too! This was all about making money, and sure, save and collect interest at the bank, but also enjoy your earnings! Customize, paint, spend it on gifts to friends. Enjoy!

Oooh! Good point! I mean, your pet gets smarter for reading more, and certain healthy foods will make your Neopet more full than sugary snacks. As for events/features: Charity Corner is a sort of food drive/donation event thing that teaches you to be generous when you have enough to be generous. Cap'n Threelegs' Swashbuckling Academy or the Mystery Island Training School are kind of like investing in education/private school. The Neolodge is kind of like a pet hotel/pet boarding that teaches you to make sure your pets are taken care of if you have to go away and can't take care of them personally.

I agree completely with the responsibilities! I started when I was like 10, learning to save through the bank and daily interest. There's stock trading and jobs that you have to complete within a time period. It's not like Club Penguin, which you can neglect and come back to whenever. You are rewarded for keeping up with your pet's health, happiness, and finances!

hi y'all! mental health awareness month is over, but it's never not a good time to talk about it! neopets has for a long time been a way for me to destress and distract from anxiety and negative thoughts. taking care of my neopets is a reminder to take care of myself. it brings me joy and a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment. neopets has lots of stuff that i consider to be relevant to or referential of mental health topics. examples are the grey paint color and the mood status of your neopet and maintaining it. what do you think? how do you think about mental health? does neopets play into that in any way? what features of neopets seem to deal with mental health issues? love

I love your sense of humor! Sometimes you need a little humor to keep things from feeling like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. If you're worried about effectiveness decreasing after so many years, maybe you can check in with a doctor? Depression/anxiety/etc. meds have changed so much in the past decade, especially in working to decrease bad side effects. If you're willing to go through the long, arduous process of trying a million different meds, you might find one that works just as well/better, without sacrificing muscle control?
