I guess I'm kind of in the middle of the road here, I seems to have reasonably good luck with REs and faerie quests (have had a couple of FFQs over the years) but I cannot for the life of me do other things:
I can wobble coconuts at the Shy every day but never knocked one down Turmy has woken for me a couple times but never eats my pet Daily Kiko Pop play but no avatar Daily telling special joke to King Skarl but no avatar (am really, REALLY tired of that "joke") My last worm in Moltara does not exist either I cannot get a fortune with "Kyrii" in it for that avatar Completed my lab map a couple months ago, but have had one species/color change. ONE. Every other day it is +2 points in some stat, then the very next day it is -2 points in the same stat LOL "Random" avatars (neomail, graveyard, etc) do not like me Wonder how many of these "random" things are truly random or if the game is specifically weighted for them to be nearly impossible ?

I agree though, I can't believe anyone was that oblivious to let that design get used in the first place. I can just imagine TNT sitting around haggling over what to put in the prize shops and tossing the trophy design to some poor intern or something, not realizing they were about to get pranked. Or maybe someone in the office was salty about never getting picked for Star Player in the staff tourney ?

HAHAHA. Oh gosh, well those original trophies would certainly have required a bit of sporting support. xD And maybe the Depends once they got older. *snorts*

The possible reasons behind this could make another epic comic that would never get accepted for the NT ( but would give whoever checked the entries a good laugh xD)
I'm kinda surprised that hardtotame let the originals through. Of course now I'm expecting her to be omniscient, lol, but she DID say recently that she is in charge of content for most of the site, so . . .

I concur, we're all thinking it lol. Although I must say, Deb's is the worst one I've seen so far. At least mine looks a bit less like *ahem* whatever:
 
but I have to admit, I never realized before how much variation there was to the AC trophies. I'm assuming it depends on your team then? I mean I knew they had the tiny team logo that would vary, but I never realized that the actual shape/style of trophy was varied for different teams in the same year. Has it always been like that?
Good to know that the other Rusty Files is a book, I was bummed when i didn't see a book in the staff prize shop at first glance. All these bobbleheads though? I dunno, I'm not a toy collector and I sold the ones I got as prizes during the tourney. They kinda give me the creeps, especially that many going all at once LOL

Hmm, it seems we have. Hooray for us! It's funny actually, because I'm a manager at a bakery and my team has several euphemisms and code words that we use to remain "professional" when within hearing of customers (or employees who are acting like idiots and are driving us crazy). Lets hope I never have a need to use this new one at work! ?

Healing still works fine though, it's only the items that are messed up. ?
(I only got an apple after reading about it happening to many other people, before that, the Springs had just been healing my pets.)
Actually, it's probably possible for the Deserted Tomb update to have messed up the Healing Springs. (Or it could be something else, who knows.) But now that I've worked as a software engineer on a pretty big application for a year, I've learned that anything can be connected, and it's super easy to break things you'd never heard of, and therefere assumed were unrelated to the code you were working on. I'm pretty sure Neo's code isn't in the best shape, and considering the sheer size of the game, it's definitely possible that one update broke something else entirely.

It is still healing normally, thankfully. I only got healing yesterday, no apples for me! xD It makes sense that the items in the prize pool have no impact on any other functions of an area. I still can't wrap my head around how the prize pool's been messed up though.
The other goofiness (thanks for that word @DragonPhoenix!) made a bit more sense, like when Bart starting giving out old Advent Calendar prizes and Hidden Tower items and so on, people figured his prize pool was extended to basically anything with the word apple in the name, without any kind of parameters set. But the Springs' problem is entirely different, isn't it, and really weird.
We'll never find out what actually happened, either. It'll be blamed on Meepits!

@kayahtik Best of luck! Today was my make-or-break catchup day and then real life happened. Everything turned out fine, but the AC goal is now officially toast.  Good thing AC is an annual event, I'll have to hit that goal next year!

I wasn't necessarily thinking it was a direct result of the Deserted Tomb update (because you're right, that would make no sense even by Neo standards) but I was more wondering if they had tried to update the Springs with additional items and something got, i dunno, stuck? I'm not good at coding so I don't know the mechanics of it, but it seems they have added things to lots of the prize pools lately and each time something goofy seems to happen.
 
Totally agree! However, I FINALLY got actual healing (a whopping 3 pts though, thanks Springs! lol) earlier today so maybe the downpour of apples has finally stopped? (Hopefully!)

OY. So I just saw the confirmation on the News page that the Tournament runs thru Saturday the 30th. Now the dilemma... I had almost made peace with the fact that losing an unexpected extra day in this last break meant I wasn't going to achieve my goal so I hardly played today, now it will just barely be reachable again but I won't sleep tonight or Friday night since I have to work most of the day. ARGH. I wish I could let it go but I probably can't ?
