Cool, I think this is a good solution. I think it was kind of pointless for them to give us 'temporary' avatars, like why bother? But it would also be a nightmare of pressure to feel like you had to team-hop every year to collect ALL the team avatars. So this is a good middle ground. I don't particularly like the DC one unfortunately, but at least it will remain a +1 for my avatar count.

I was having what felt like the opposite problem yesterday--instead of acting on their own when I didn't want them to, my players IGNORED me when I told them to do something!  They wouldn't steal the ball, wouldn't shoot it, turned in the wrong direction...SO irritating, especially towards the end of the day when my patience was running extremely thin. 

Is it MSN that's causing you ladies much ouch?
I managed to max out sosd today, AND, play a few (4 maybe?) games of YYB. Enough to find the Vitupets Cybunny captain supremely annoying. ? ?

That would be AWESOME! I'm sure I would be terrible at it (and thus wouldn't want it to actually count toward rank points or my team's standings), but it would be so much fun to have that as an option just for the enjoyment.

DONE! Took me about 10.5 hours. My wrist is sore, but no laptops were thrown at walls or out windows, and I'm +3 ranks, so I guess I'll call it a success.

I think I'm going to manage to get through Rank 8 today, which I wasn't expecting as it needs about 100 more sosd games than rank 7 did, so feeling pretty pleased with myself right now.

I would absolutely recommend training that one last level to get to the ninja school. You're so close and it will save you a ton of time and nps. Your stats aren't really that far apart (your hp is the only real outlier, and it's still less than 2x your level). So just even out your strength and defense (at the ninja school where it only takes 4 hours and costs only 1 red codestone) and you'll be good to go. Good luck!

I wish they did this on DTI!!! I think of the items, namely handhelds, from the pet's perspective, but the search function has them based on the player's perspective. I suppose it's probably because of the way TNT coded the items, so not necessarily DTI's fault, but it throws me off every time.

@monkeybytes I think the question was asked from the point of view of someone who still likes playing Neopets. ?
I personally never felt the urge to buy premium, so I don't really have an opinion on whether or not the money is worth it, but suggesting someone just play other games instead seems... overkill? If you're done with Neopets, well, good for you, but this is a Neopets fansite, so don't be surprised to find people on here who still enjoy the game, and intend to keep playing it, even though we know there are other games out there. (Which we might play as well.)
Oh, and as someone who used to play a game (similar in set-up to Neopets, but much smaller in scale) that actually died, I can assure you, Neopets might not be as big as it used to be, but it's nowhere near dead.
(And advising someone to buy actual scratchcards just seems bad life advice in general. ? )

I don't really know how I found the motivation, but I maxed yyb today! It left me THREE games shy of rank 11, ugh. I couldn't be bothered to play 6 more slsl or 30-some more msn, so 11 will have to wait until tomorrow. That's ok though, I'm very happy with what I accomplished today! Especially because I managed to bring my gpg up from 8.87 to 9.23. I think I may be able to drag it up over 10 during the rest of the cup if I keep playing well ^^

Yes! I will have to be ever more vigilant now. I can't let it sneak by a second time! 

Oh man, I can't believe we lost in ALL categories yesterday! D: I played extra, too! Disappointing. I didn't realize they had one of the groups with them--actually, I haven't heard anything about the groups this year at all. @Kute do you know which other teams they're on? tbh I'm kind of surprised no one has been getting frozen or anything yet. I know that's been a big scandal in the past. 
Anyway, hopefully we do better against KI! I already maxed sosd and played 50 msn. Now I'm trying to get as much yyb done as I can while at work, since my mouse here is a lot better than the one at home.

doing okay, also met my goals for the day so Im pleased.  

Nine new avatars I'll never have. I kind of wish they would stop doing this, especially so many at a time. 
I guess I should be relieved though. I'd had my sights set on completing the Altador album soon in case an avatar was released, and now that probably won't ever happen because of the skyrocketing prices. But I don't even care that much, cause it's ugly! There were several better stamps they could've used for the avatar.

Kad overfeeders are basically crazy cat ladies in Neopian form. ?
Maybe overfeeding appeals to a certain personality type? Because some of the ladies on the kad board (and it IS 99% females, isn't it) are a tad . . . precious. During my time on there I managed to ruffle a few feathers, particularly me and a young guy named Rob who was also a Brit. Yeah our humour was NOT well received by some. ?
