The very first Altador Cup for me, and I'm going with the Pirates. Mainly because I don't have any other team that I like though Shenkuu was tempting...

I am a KI supporter! I have a Pirate Krawk that my Kokariia (Aisha) thought looked a lot like Dash Solely :rolleyes_anim: . I can't control my goalie, that Bori!!! :sad01_anim:  But that is probably due to my incompetence more than his  :laughingsmiley: . I love my forwards, Coco & Dinksy, and my gal Nitri the moehog comes through in a pinch. :rambo: Oh, and Zayle the grey grundo, if he isn't spazzing out when the yooyu comes in his path. Pirates for the win!  :rock: If we be not winnin' the cup, ye can bet we be stealin' it! :shiftyeyes_anim:   :woot:  

Figured I'd start a thread to find out where my Pirates are at! Let's bring home the cup this year!
 
This is my 5th official (7th total) Altador Cup and I have been supporting Krawk Island every year since the "Glory Days" when we won the cup. I have always been drawn pirates and growing up in and around the Caribbean, pirates have always been a part of my life and history.
 
I would love to eventually (if there is enough support) create a Krawk Island guild on neopets!
 
 
What are the goals of the current players for this Altador cup? I am looking to become an all-star for the first time.

Has anyone noticed that yooyuball has gotten a lot easier? Or am I all of a sudden some sort of prodigy? I swear I've never been able to score more than one goal ever before. I actually won today.

In case anyone doesn't know how to use them:
 
1. Right click on your preferred image and select "Copy image address"
2. Go to My Settings > Signature
3. Click the Image icon in the editor, and paste the URL (Ctrl+v) in the box
4. The image should appear there. Click save, and you're done!

Thing is, what actually IS it?! I mean Neo's full of gummy versions of things, but this seems to be the only Grensa thing in existence. I think it really is boogers, quite possibly Dr. Sloth's, or he and Meuka maybe have some secret collab going. :sick01:

I made some AC banners/signatures a couple of years ago, and this year I decided to make more! They didn't turn out quite how I wanted them to, but I guess they're still okay. I've also re-uploaded my old ones and from now on, any new AC graphic I come up with will be posted in this topic!

So, here is a rant from me; I wonder why JS made such rude comments about Altador! First "Why So Smug?" on the pre-sign up team info, then "Altador’s 12th place finish in AC X was one of its better performances, which says a lot about the team’s caliber." and "Are they content to be remembered as the hosts of the Cup? Sure seems like it.", just a few sentences from the info on the team sign up page. Okay, though they have obviously done well in the past, generally Altador tends to not be one of the more popular teams. This is a bit confusing to me, considering if it wasn't for Altador, we wouldn't have the Altador Cup. In any case, my point is if not many people join and play for a particular team, of course it's not gonna do as well. However, even if that is not a factor, or it was really the team itself deciding how to play, I still think it's unfair to just count them out or make those types of comments. JS at least could have said something like 'Are they content to be remembered as the hosts of the Cup? We shall see.' to acknowledge it is possible things could change, instead of just writing them off. I read the descriptions for all the teams and I don't think any were as harsh as the one for Altador, even for the teams that didn't do as well last year.
 
By the way, I don't think there's anything wrong with being content to be the hosts of the cup, maybe they just have fun participating, it's still an unfair comment.
 
Pardon me, I'm just really loyal to Altador and will always defend them.

Everything is overplayed, well, all the modern pop music. The food court at my local mall is an Akoo pavilion (a place where music videos are requested and played) and it plays a lot of annoying crud 99% of the time as nobody requests much of anything. All modern pop, all disgusting.

Just about everything some radio stations play if they don't have diversity in music, almost everything Akoo plays if nobody requests good music, and most music that appears in adverts are the same genre - that same crud. This music should be banned from radio. STOP PLAYING THE SAME SONG OVER AND OVER AGAIN! It's a good thing I take my iPod with me everywhere I go, so I can listen to REAL music. *puts on Queen*

I work at a medical office and we always have the radio set to this one FM station which plays the same songs over and over and over again.

My mom was a teacher (30+) years and she always had her students make her a Rainbow Jar of Good Wishes- and while she had the students rub sidewalk chalk on 1/4 cup of salt instead of your powder, maybe the students can still let the powder layer/stripe represent them poured into a glass or clear plastic (?) jar and with gloves on their hands, dip their finger into water and then into their color powder to put their color on a large drawing paper to make their teacher a Rainbow that each stripe represents each student s/he had as an appreciation gift and an easy way for the teacher to remember her class. If that isn't too much work for y'all!  :rambo:

Not even being snide saying that. If you own a game website, and need multiple things that give people a reason to keep coming back - and quest/collectable items are a BIG one of those things - then starting giving away said items in dailies/BD etc. is truly idiotic.

That's totally true, but purely from an aesthetics point of view any article looks better with pictures to break up the text. I'm speaking from a purely selfish point of view, I'll admit, lol. I have cognitive problems and my brain struggles big time to read chunks of text on a screen, something/everything about the way the NT articles are set up makes them hard for me to read in the first place. I think it's that there's not enough white space; tiny margins and everything seems all small and scrunched up together.
