    Could be. That sounds rational.

    We were not disappointed.
I've defeated Kaia using my loan's throw pillows.
Though "Defeated" might not be accurate since she was revealed to be the Darkest Faerie in disguise and she vanished after being unmasked.
This heavily suggests that we'll have to battle her again in her true form.

    Good idea. Will do.

I have not heard that. I hope this is true!

He's really not that far off. You only need to increase his level by 15. If you go to the Swashbuckling Academy, you can do a course every 10 hours--that's two levels a day (not counting multiple level bonues) if you start one in the morning and another in the evening. You can have this done within a week. If you're willing to splurge a few more neopoints, train him at the Mystery Island School. You'll have to pay two codestones per course, but they only last three hours and you could easily get in five or more courses a day.

You can actually get it for ~30k. Here are some SSW links.

Not sure. How were you inputting the URL link into the post? I believe you don't include the http:// or https:// for the link. For example, use www.neopets.com and not http://www.neopets.com, when entering URLs in a Neoboard post.

For starters your code is a mess! You're misusing the <style> and </style> tags quite a lot in your code. You only need the <style> at the beginning of all your CSS codes and the </style> at the end of your CSS codes. These do not go into your HTML section. I'm assuming this is what's causing the most issues for you. I can go through and clean it up for you.
    Now onto your questions:
I'll look into this when I clean up your code for you. What exactly are you trying to make smaller? From my knowledge there is no code that does this anymore. I'll go tweak your code and get back to you as soon as I can with it.

I'm sorry to see people quit. I'm going nowhere. :) I'm used to frustration, I raised children AND worked for the government. :P

I don't know why some have trouble and some don't. I don't seem to have much lag at all and no loading issues. Over the weekend I had zero lag. I've played the new app Ghouls game and receive my prizes and points immediately into my Neopets account so I don't know why I am ok and others aren't. I'm playing the app game on Facebook if that makes a difference.

My big issues of angst right now are the constant complaining and the people who won't let go of the changes issue. I'm getting more than a little tired of that. I think the communication with players is now adequate for the situation and I appreciate it. It's more than we've ever had.

Other than that, I roll with the punches.

Honestly, I never understood how Key Quest worked. As for the Habitatriam, it was a lot of tedious work and more weight added to the small pile of tabs I keep open, but it paid well. So I do kinda miss that.

I'm sorry you are one of the unfortunate who are having to struggle more to participate on the site than others like myself. I've had no problem accessing the site since my return and today has actually been a pretty mild day for me lag-wise. My only real issue is that this is day three that I am unable to receive a daily faerie quest out of five that I have tried since my return. I don't mind that too much though.
You are not alone though most of the neoboards are in doomsday mode.

Late last week, several beloved members of The Neopets Team received unexpected layoffs. The CEO of JumpStart has released an official statement regarding this move and the future of Neopets.

I'm wondering if this was already a part of the transition to JumpStart deal, meaning keep the current team on for 6 months to work/fix the transition bugs, and then after that, either let them go or keep them on for another 6 months, at JumpStart's discretion. Of course, there may have been a clause stating that TNT could not say anything about, so as not to panic the Neopets community, and for a smooth transition, in that sense. None of that would surprise me. The way I see it is, Neopets will get better, could get worse, could stay the same, or they could close the site down completely, but I truly do not think the last is true. Running a "free to play" game/server is never free for the hosting agancy. I don't think JumpStart is a big company with lots of revenue, but enough to keep Neopets going. As they already have their own programmers/coders for their JumpStart site and software, maybe having to lay off TNT will keep enough revenue to keep Neopets online. Skylanders and Lego both used to have "free to play" online games, but both have closed them down. Both have apps for tablets and phones, though. That seems to be the trend. 15 years is a long run, epsecially in today's economy, and I think it is a true testament to TNT that they were able to go for so long. They will be missed, but I'm sure they will be picked up by other companies for their skills and ability to produce something that has gone on for so long and is still going. "The future only knows", but I think I will stick around to see what happens.

EDIT: With TNT gone, I do wonder if "The Festival of Neggs" will happen this year. I hope so.

EDIT EDIT: I think Dido, in her song, "White Flag" sums it up best, concerning how I feel about Neopets and the direction it could be going with the change - better, worse, stay the same, or which I do not believe, shut down: "But, I will go down with this ship, And I won't put up my hands and surrender, There will be no white flag above my door, I'm in love and always will be".

    Hey, 'sup.
I'm actually a returning member here, I have an account from, I don't know, like five years ago but the password email never showed up. I would have tried harder to figure that out, but I hated the name anyway and if memory serves there is like a 500 post name changing policy which that account was NOWHERE near. So hope we're cool here.

Anyway I'm 28, a graphic design student and a supernatural genre junkie (not to be confused with the actual show by the name of Supernatural, though I've watched up to season 3 and it's pretty cool so far'). I like to read and write though I'm kinda ADD with the whole writing thing. I try.

This is my eighth year on Neopets, I made my account on September 23, 2006, so I'm a veteran, been there since before the design change which I was not a fan of so my activity kinda reduced since then but I always think to log in at some point just to keep my account from being purged. I like what I've got going on it.

    Yup.

I just finished reading Blood Infernal, the last book in the Order of the Sanguines trilogy by James Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell.

It's a vampire series, but it has a pretty significantly different take on lore and history than I've heard before. It's a really interesting take on a lot of different things, which I've come to expect from James Rollins. If you like adventure books, or vampire books, I'd definitely recommend this series.
