I just recently got back on after a couple of years and noticed that a freakin box of wheat thins goes for 5k now! So do dried apricots, brown sauce and a handful of other stuff that used to be on the lamer end of the prize spectrum at the tombola. Did I miss something?? Why the sudden spike in prices?
 
I went on Jellyneo's item database and saw that a few of these prices shot up on April 8th, 2014 (while I was off). What happened then?? Sorry if I sound like a total noob, hahah. I've been wondering for about a week now!
 
EDIT: Sorry, by that same token I've also noticed that pirate-related morphing potions are way way cheaper. Any reason for that, too? Not that I'm complaining, I really wanted a pirate Aisha when I was younger, and now I've got one! :-)

I don't like when my pets get blasted but a quick trip or two to the healing springs after usually heals any damage done. Personally I use the snowager and other dailies as a time piece. "Oh it's 4 (2 NST), better get to the snowager." If not for neopets dailies, I would have a much harder time paying attention to time (given that I have no internal clock).

In December you are guaranteed a prize daily so if you can stand his blasts until then. Even still I cant think of anything spectacular, mostly neggs and scratchcards, and those randomly given out all year round. Its funny because I desperately want to be blasted and given the avatar; that's random too. One day...

Does anyone have any tips for getting a good prize from the snowager? Everytime I visit the dang creature he either moves in his sleep, opens his eyes, blasts my poor neopets or I manage to steal an item that is worth nothing. How can I get something valuable?

Mutant and Baby are harder to customize, as they can only wear colour-specific items. I am still partial to the Mutant Draik, as I just got one myself ;)
 
As far as customisation goes, I think the Transparent Draik and Water Kacheek would be the most versatile options! There are so many back stories you could come up with!

Derp. $75 is pretty ridiculous! I used to draw a lot when I was younger, but after I started cooking I never really had the time to get proper doodles up to colour in, so I am guilty of buying children's colouring books :P alternatively, I have also used these on occasion: http://www.coloring-pages-adults.com/coloring-zen/ if anyone is interested and not willing to pay, haha.
 
I agree that from an art perspective they aren't all they're cracked up to be. But as someone with pretty bad insomnia it's the best way I've found to lull myself to sleep! I'm not sure when this fad started but I have been using those colouring pages for years.

I love colouring! It's really cathartic and fun. I got back into it all probably a few months before it became super popular (how did that happen?!), and I found a nice art nouveau design book on ebay. there's a wide range of books and drawings, so i don't get very easily bored.
I have to say the one that's really popular (I don't have it, have just seen pics) really suits my drawing style, so I'm quite keen to get a hold of it at some point. I also don't really use colouring pencils. I use textas/markers, that are fairly fine tipped and makes it really nice to just do some outline colouring in.

My regular bookstore guy pointed out to me lately that there has been a huge spike in interest on Adult Colouring Books, as I myself was in search of one as I'd recently finished off my copy of Johanna Basford's Secret Garden. As I used to live alone with no TV or internet, I mostly spent my days reading or doodling! It's a great way to unwind and fall asleep. I headed off to the bookstore to grab a copy of her next book, Enchanted Forest, when my bookstore guy informed me of this new wave of people inquiring about adult colouring books. Apparently, I'm not the only one! :P They were all out of the book I wanted, though he did hand me a copy of another colouring book, Just Add Color: Intricate Patterns. It's fun but I enjoyed Secret Garden a lot more.

I have recently been trying to clear my closet out of a lot of neocash items I have sitting around that I have no real need for. A few of them are retired items or highly sought items.
 
My question is after offering to trade an item to somebody, is there a standard wait time for them to respond or should after a week of no response, offer to somebody else? Neopets to me has it's ups and downs, but I guess since I became interested much later on in life and I'm a fan of Sonic and other anthro-animal characters and games that it's a branch of my enjoyment of cartoon/animated animals.
But I CAN understand your frustration and boredom. Jumpstart doesn't really know what to do with Neopets and that is likely part of the equation, the other half is they got rid likely a huge chunk of the TNT team who made Neopets out of their blood, sweat, tears, hopes, dreams, nightmares, time and asparagus.

Cool, I got my copy for 10 dollars at a Comic Book Convention, I saw it for sale and I was like "I MUST have this game!" And I bought it. It's the only Neopets merch I have except for that one blue Bruce I got from McDonalds a long time ago, and some how I just thought I wouldn't enjoy Neopets back then XD man was I wrong to think that.

I have never had an experience with someone that rude before. They could have just declined, but blocking someone for not having enough? I always put exactly what I want for the item, but I'm always fair in that I'm willing to haggle if someone doesn't have exactly enough. I also try to keep the item as low or lower than the cheapest price on TP so more people might be able to get the item. I'm sorry to hear about your friend's experience with the Trading post, but I'm glad her hissi was healed, since I have a hissi as well.
