No pro tips, as I'm struggling through trying to remember how to get places. The only thing I'm frustrated with is customization. I hardly ever customize, but I do tend to do something just before and after major holidays. I've mostly just taken items off and put simple things on (hoping that they stay, usually).
But I wanted to shout out to jellysundae. I'm premium, but had the yellow defaulted down the sides. Because of your post I went into my settings and, voila, constellations is available. I like that so much better.  Thank you jellysundae.
 
 

Your customisation not being visible anywhere's pretty weird, isn't it! But I suppose it's all because things are geared towards being viewed from a smaller screen.
On the whole I'm managing ok with this. I'm using a laptop to access neo.
Site theme: I haven't experienced the horrible yellow, I am grateful for this! I have premium and my beta theme has the space faerie theme which is a nice dark blue, I didn't choose it so I guess that's default for premium members. I had a look at what other beta themes are currently available, understandably it's very few right now, but there are some so you can change from blinding yellow. Kinda naff though, I checked out the green and purple ones and the sidebars are pale and wishy-washy, I actually liked the tis The Season one though. 😮
I've always really disliked the wide grey sidebars, and with this update those have gone, so that's a definite positive in my book!

I just spent a moment trying to capture a snowflake as it floated past Serg's cute l'il Quig, but I wasn't quick enough. xD I didn't realise the snow fell over the entire screen.
But yeah, these two themes nicely minimise the larger amount of white on the boards.
TNT have done a big no-no here: That red, why??? x'D
The lack of access to both quickstock and your SDB is INSANE, but I'm sure that'll be dealt with pretty quickly, and while plenty of unconverted pages remain it's not really much of an issue.
I used the new customisation yesterday. 😮 It's better. Once it's working fully/I fully understand it, it's gonna be great!
No jumping through hoops to swap between pets Drag and drop to equip stuff closet loads a gazillion times faster mousing over the items shows their info This I like nicely informative!
A whole lot of stuff is greyed out though, and it's not equiped on other pets. 
A lot of it doesn't show up when you try to equip it, though it's clearly there as the info for it shows up below the pet.

Some does show up though, so it's an exciting game of customisation roulette! x'D But on the whole, this really is a vast improvement! It just all needs to work. xD Which it will do, given time. 🙂

I just got back into Neopets and after learning about FC, I had been following Garet ever since. Awesome to know that there are 2 others who have done better than him on average this year - I'll have to look into this further.

Oh sure, waltz into a bank in full war gear. No problem. But JUST TRY to pick up two pieces of Shiny Obsidian in one day!
Maybe the bank needs to hire some security guards from the Quarry. ?

To celebrate Neopets' Birthday Scores Galore has returned. From now until Tuesday all games in the Games Room can have a score sent up to 5 times! So what are you waiting for?

Congrats!  It feels great once you finally get it.  I feel like I have all this food I bought for them and got stuck with.  lol.
 
 
Me neither.  I would quickly buy something from a shop and by the time I got back, I got the, "sorry, this kad has been fed by......."  It got frustrating.  But I was on my side account last night at 2am and happened to click on it, and the main just went.  ALL the kads were available to be fed.  I quickly went back to my main account, refreshed the kads, and A lot of them were still available including one looking for a super icy negg.  I happened to have it in my SDB and got it out, clicked on the Kad, expecting to see that same message.  To my surprise I got, "Congratulations........." I was super psyched.  FINALLY!!  I just wanted the kad trophy.  Maybe I will go for the avatar.  We'll see.
Yes, I have been to the board.  I understand the main and mini, but it never seems to go at that time.  Honestly, I just happened to hit it REALLY lucky.  I know that if I want to be able to do it, I have to put my time and effort into it like any other game.  I guess when you see the same names over and over again, and you click on them and see over 7000 fed, over 4000 fed, over 2000 fed, it feels like, "sheesh, give someone else a chance to get ONE!"

As mentioned on today's New Features, TNT is expecting to take down the site at some point this week in order to work on the problems causing the site's lag. They have not yet set a specific date, but we will be sure to let you know when they do.

You get sorted as you would at Hogwarts. I love it! Plus, it's very welcoming and we are genuine people who are always there to help. We actively post on the message board.

I am the leader of Hermonie's Book Club where every week I post 2 questions that you have to open your books to find. It's fun to just go back and reread the books for questions.
 
There is also a D.A. Club.
 
I am 21 and haven't had any issues with immaturity in my guild. I've been a member for about a year now and although I have found other guilds that would look interesting..I can't bring myself to leave mine.

VERY long story short(er)-
 
My biological parents were very young when I was conceived (Father was 20, assuming Mother was of similar age). Before my birth, one left the other (circumstances unclear) and by the time I was born my Mother was with another man who's name I don't know, lets call him 'Mark'.
 
My Father's parents would have me on some weekends, but to my knowledge my father didn't have any contact. I'm told that my mother would often leave me hungry and in soiled nappies for long periods of time, and that the house was somewhat of a hangout for local teens to get high.
 
When I was about 6 months my grandmother (paternal) took me to the hospital with what seemed to be a hurt arm, the hospital called social services as- from what I'm told- the majority of my bones had been broken. I was taken into foster care while Social Services investigated.
 
In foster care my paternal Grandparents (I don't know if my maternal did, or even knew I existed) visited me and were eventually granted custody. My Mother didn't visit once, neither did my Father. The SS tried to charge 'Mark' (mother's boyfriend) with child abuse but my Mother refused to testify against him so he was let free.
 
I was raised by my paternal grandparents as my 'mum' and 'dad' with my biological father as my brother. I have a lot of issues from my grandparent's upbringing but that's a whole 'nother set of issues.
 
So..back to the topic, I keep going back and forth on how I feel about this, getting in touch with my bio mother would likely mean a lot of paperwork, contacting social services etc. I can contact my bio Father easily enough but until recently I never even thought of him as that, I thought of him as an irresponsible big brother who gets women pregnant and then runs off (10 kids and counting).
 
Sorry to rant, it's something I don't talk about often but I wanted to get it out. I also wonder what an 'outside' view of the situation is. Especially with my Mother, I don't know wether to pity someone who was obviously in a bad situation, hate her for what she let happen to me, feel nothing because she obviously feels nothing for me?

Well it's an emotionally rough area, sugar. What are you wanting to gain from the confrontation? Are you seeking answers to "Why did you let this happen?" or are you just needing the closure that might come with it? I wouldn't call them your mom and dad. They just happen to be the people that popped you out into this world. The people that raised you, took care of you, fed you, clothed you, cared for you when you were ill, and in general loved you, those are your parents. My adopted sister also was removed from her biological parents because of abuse, and at 26 she opted to meet her birth mother. It was a very emotionally trying time for her, but her mother was no longer the woman that had abused and abandoned her. She had gotten help and changed, quit using drugs, gotten a college education and was in a stable career. There's a possibility that could happen for you and there might be a chance of rekindling some sort of relationship. If you're just looking to meet them because you're angry with the past, it might not be as cathartic as you hope. All that pent up anger often seems misdirected when you finally confront them years later, especially if the person has changed their ways.
 
I would speak to a psychiatrist about this to explore the reasons why, that way you won't make a decision that ends up being more emotionally damaging to you. It might also be a good idea to see if your can get information about your biological mother BEFORE you truly decide if you want to meet her. Talk to a social worker to see what your options are.

Yes. They typically release game themed items, however this is the first GMC with JumpStart so who knows what quality of items they will produce. At any rate, you can purchase a ticket near the end of the event if you like the items.
 

Day 2 will start at midnight NST. Day one always will be a day and a half long so ensure that all time zones have a chance to see and participate before being exempt from the highest trophy or any bonus prizes for completing on "day of" tasks.
