  1. One of the less valuable pieces, but still nice. Especially during Charity Corner when I inevitably have to buy thousands of items. I actually got that item while spending NPs on Charity Corner items... lol
  2. Is anyone else not able to log in? That's how it is for me on Firefox. Chrome and Edge give me errors when I go to Neopets. EDIT: Never mind, It works on Firefox now. EDIT 2: Firefox is having the same error as Chrome now. StackPath "Access Denied" screen. I can't get on Neopets. EDIT 3: I downloaded Opera and it works. I'm gonna run out of browsers to use pretty soon. EDIT 4: Aaaaaand there goes Opera. It doesn't work on mobile either. I can still play on the laptop, but who knows for how long.
  3. Looks like I'm back to full blown "acquire free items" mode... Another (sort of) tip, the General Store has an unlimited supply of Blue Short Hair Brush items, for 59 NPs. If you get desperate for points and don't wanna bounce between shops, this works pretty quickly. Make sure you do it before the actual event starts, cause they closed it during the event last year. I may end up using this method, cause I neglected my own Sticky Snowball method...
  4. I completely forgot about my Mazzew being aged, I just happened to click on that Neopet. Something Has Happened! You are now eligible to use 'Mazzew' as an avatar on the NeoBoards!
  5. 74th Mosaic Grarrl Attempt: The ray is fired at Nonogan... ... and she gains 3 maximum hit points!!!!
  6. I'll tell ya what makes me mad about Neopets. Getting an "Access Denied" screen when I desperately need Sticky Snowballs for the Charity Corner event.
  7. Remember when I was trying to get a Mosaic Grarrl? I guess I'll ease my way back into some other site features. 73rd Mosaic Grarrl Attempt: The ray is fired at Nonogan... ... and she gains 2 movement points!!!!
  8. Well at least I have replaced 3 those pets with some better names. I still have cool_peophin_77 cause I spent a fortune on that customization. And MissBubbles2 isn't the greatest with the 2 at the end, but MissBubbles was taken already. I should've thought of something else.
  9. If you don't want it to feel like a money sink, try spending a fixed amount on the lever each day. I hope you get it sooner rather than later, that avatar can be unforgiving for some people.
  10. You put a lot of work into your main account, no way I would if I were in your place.
  11. Well that's certainly a lucky surprise. I bet you were freaking out when you saw that pop up!
  12. What on earth did I do to my back at work today? I just wanna lie down and get some sleep.
  13. It makes me so happy to see so many of you taking advantage of my Sticky Snowball technique. Unfortunately, since I abandoned Neopets in December 2019, I only managed to get 333 of them. Still not bad considering I only tried to get them for a few months. On the bright side... Lunch Box for Office (special) For those who always get their food stolen at office! Food 3100 As long as I have enough for Bank Bribery and the stock market one, I don't really care. Hopefully the website doesn't go down again like it did in the last Charity Corner. And that crappy "one at a time" donation we had to suffer through for the first half. Oh jeez, I just calculated... My Sticky Snowballs and Lunch Boxes only add up to 5764 points... ugh. I really don't wanna grind that many items like I did last year... Cause I remember each boon was 9000 points, so 18000 points for the bank and stock one. I'm assuming the point calculation is the same as last year.
  14. The Lever of Doom was designed to take NPs out of circulation. Also, Habitarium was removed because the rights to the game were owned by Viacom. So once JumpStart took over, they couldn't keep it anymore. Habitarium will never come back unless somehow the current owners get the rights to it from Viacom. Key Quest was lost because they lost the data for it, and didn't bother replacing it. Still makes me angry. I understand why Habitarium had to go, but come on. At least try to re-program Key Quest.
  15. I really liked Habitarium, but honestly Key Quest was better. It was basically a Neopets version of Mario Party, but online. It was online Mario Party before online Mario Party existed. Best part is that it was free! Me and my friend played the dung out of that game. Good times. Of course, the one fatal flaw with Key Quest: whoever had a better connection would have an inherent advantage. Still, they were the best two games on the site, and now they're faded into memories and archived videos.
  16. Forgot to screenshot before I closed out, but I remember my Flotsam asked for a Chocolate Fish Pop Milkshake. And here I thought dolphins were supposed to be smart.
  17. OUCH! That's really unfortunate. I feel your pain though. The same thing happened to me when I played Meepit's Juice Break a long time ago. Had a score of 3500 in zen mode which took several hours, but got an error when I sent the score. Turns out, the day had rolled over which nullified the attempt. So I had to do it all over again.
  18. They removed all the games that were quick NP earners. Key Quest, Habitarium, and now Ghoul Catchers. Now, the only way to earn lots of NPs year round is investing in stocks or Food Club and crossing your fingers, and maybe Battledome. Unless you're good at restocking, and most people aren't. The flash games don't award enough NPs for me to bother, and lots of them are gonna be gone in ~3 months. I don't have high hopes that ALL of the flash games will be converted to HTML5. I guarantee many of the good ones will be lost. It's not fun for me to earn NPs anymore cause it takes way more effort now for me to earn way less NPs. Sometimes you'll get lucky with dailies, but I find I don't even wanna bother with that anymore either cause most of the time, I get next to nothing. And it doesn't feel rewarding to click a button and win a huge prize instantly anyway. It's exciting, but not rewarding. I'm not hating on anyone that likes doing dailies, this is just my take. Battledome is random chance what you get. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. It's a good way to make NPs, but again, it doesn't feel rewarding. The prizes don't increase in value the stronger you get. If you have an untrained pet and a Cursed Elixir, you can get some of the best prizes from the Kreludan Defender Robot. So to me, there's no reason to train my pets anymore other than to see stats go up, or to prove you can beat a harder enemy. If someone can beat a harder enemy, they should get better rewards. You can cap the NPs on an easy opponent in under 5 minutes, so at least make the prizes on the harder opponents better.
  19. I was never under quarantine orders, surprisingly. I did have an opportunity to ask for a voluntary furlough, but I figured I could use the money. As much as I dread going to work sometimes, it gets very boring being stuck at my house for a few days, let alone weeks/months.
  20. I just want things to go back to normal
  21. That's awesome. Reminds me of when I got the Wheel of Extravagance avatar on my first try. Sometimes we just get dumb luck.
  22. I'm also sorta back. I left December 2019, if I recall correctly. Made a big dramatic post on why I'm leaving Neopets. I more enjoy this forum site than Neopets, and I'll probably just collect bank interest and buy stocks. Dunno if anyone remembers me, but my username back then was Robin Hood. Aaaaaanyway, welcome back.
  23. I feel like Blumaroo Steak is deep down one of the reasons I became a vegetarian. I mean, the thought of a cut up Neopet is pretty horrifying.
  24. I felt the random urge to check my stocks today after not having logged in here or Neopets since 2019... lol Guess I should sell, hm?
  25. Older as in most people playing Neopets are older. And I definitely know that older adults aren't as tech savvy as people in their mid twenties or early thirties and younger. Know how I know? Because they're not as familiar with the technology as people my age. We grew up using it, they didn't. I still don't understand all this "their resources are limited!" stuff everyone's talking about. NetDragon a multi-BILLION dollar company with 3.3 thousand employees. Yeah, they're soooo limited. ? NetDragon's resources aren't limited, they're just neglecting Neopets. As long as the NC Mall is open and releasing new items for people that keep buying them, then it's a viable revenue stream. If Neopets was losing them money, they would've sold it off by now. They're not even bothering to hire someone for quality control. There's so much mistreatment with Neopets that it makes my head spin. That's not limited resources, it's greed. All this bitterness towards Neopets... which is why I'm not visiting Neopets (or this forum site) anymore. That's one of my resolutions, and I plan on sticking by it. The only reasons I stayed so long is nostalgia and this community. So farewell everyone, it was a nice run. I'll miss you guys, but I think I'll be better off elsewhere.
