I'm still salty about the fact that they're going to be charging real money for something that was previously earned through the site with neopoints. There were a decent amount of suggestions back when NCs were first released about how this would be a great opportunity to create a really decent NP sink, basically charge like 10 million or whatever to give your pet a fun pose. Make it something that you have to save up for, but still achievable (and sure, have the ability to pay in NC instead for people who want to p2w) but nope, instead they want to have the poses in a gatcha-style lootbox for real money only. the worst part is that it looks like whatever it is will completely negate the need for morphing potions or paintbrushes first!

@GillyTook Yikes, that is a nightmare! Although I learned via the boards that a lot of modern phones have 2FA built in. My phones are always a generation or two behind, so it's the GA app for me, but if your phone is a current model maybe see if it has one pre-installed? As for whether or not it's working I've heard mixed reports. I'm waiting until I see if they're going to add an option to remember your device for 7-30 (it currently doesn't, and while I'm fine entering the code every time I wanna check like, my bank account, I'm just... not going to the trouble of doing that a dozen+ times a day for a virtual pet site. I'll add it on if I ever take an extended break. I did send in a question to the editorial asking about that, and I've seen others requesting it too, so fingers crossed we get that added.

It's not mandatory. 2FA adds an extra layer of security to your accounts, and is definitely recommended, but you don't have to use it if you're willing to accept being at a higher risk for being hacked. It also don't required you to use your phone to play. The way 2-Factor Authentication works is that you link your account to an app on your phone. That app generates a code for you to enter at login, meaning that anyone trying to log into your account would need access to your phone. And since I've seen some people concerned about this, Neo doesn't get access to your phone number.

2FA apps are generally pretty lightweight, and you should already have them for your email/banking/etc One thing I'm working through is if they have an option at login to remember your device for 30 days. I really want 2FA but I also switch accounts multiple times in a day, so...

Love the costume lol But is anyone else kinda disappointed by the direction they're taking the burlaps in recently? I loved the early ones, they were so sinister and creepy! They looked like a haunted doll that you'd find in your attic and throw out and then wake up to find it at the foot of your bed. Even the quiggle was cool enough to actually make me like a quiggle! IDK, maybe it's just me, but there's a clear distinction between the lenny-to-ogrin era (best era) and then the meerca, zafara and ixi are kind of just alright, and then everything after the blumaroo, which is just... plushie, but brown and slightly raggedy.

yeah, i only played legends & letters and ghoul catchers because of the in-site rewards. i actually enjoyed legends & letters for its own sake, but ghoul catchers was just what i played while, like, waiting for the bus or w/e. i never got very far it in, i just played the easy matches for the nps

Faerieland whatever-it's-called must be tanking pretty bad, because there's a new survey out asking about mobile games again. I was way off in my estimate, I figured it would be at least January before they tried pitching another one. I just did the survey, at least this time they didn't try and dress it up with 2 vague questions about the actual site, it's strictly about mobiles games. Looks like some sort of village-builder with a slot machine gimmick. Might be worth taking the survey as a protest, although I'm guessing that they've already committed to making the game.
