  1. Kuporion sounds like a pokemon, probably one that's neon! I like Kramak and Karchef the best though!
  2. I just remembered I actually ranked the pets on a tier list a month or so ago. Although looking back on it now, I'd shuffle a lot of pets around between the "I Like Them" to "I Forget They Exist" tiers, namely moving the blumaroo, ixi and mynci down by a tier or two and the quiggle up to at least "They're Ok"
  3. If you mean the TCG cards, they're here: https://www.neopets.com/tcg/album.phtml I'll be honest, I had to google for that, I don't even know if there *is* a link to it from anywhere else on the site!
  4. This thread is making me want to add the meanings behind all of my pet names to their pages Maybe I'll do that!
  5. Haha, that's adorable! Those are all lovely names, though, your brother is good at that!
  6. Dang, yeah cats can be funny like that. It took our two cats like a month to get used to each other, before then they'd basically divided up the house and wouldn't go near each other. I'm glad to hear that he's doing alright, though! A very french look, indeed! It is a lovely name, I originally offered on him (I think he was a lupe at the time?) because Giovanni's Room was one of those ~formative books~ for me growing up. Oddly though, it still took me a while to really get attached to him? Has that ever happened to anyone else? I went back and forth over whether or not to retrade him for like a good five or six months. But I'm thoroughly attached now, I've been trying to get him a gold petpet because I think it would be fun if his backstory was that he stole it and went on the run, and that's why he's skulking around Meridell instead of out on the open seas.
  7. I just checked out your gallery, and yeah, it probably wouldn't be a terrible idea. TnT have said isn't okay to get around the censors in the case of words like 'uncle' or 'grape' but not so much with actual expletives. I think the way that things like that work is that stuff only goes before a mod once it's reported, and at that point it's basically up to that mod's decision on whether or not something is offensive, as well was what the punishment is. Hence why there's so many varying reports on what is or isn't allowed. And also why, if enough people report something even mildly offensive, it will eventually get the banhammer, as soon as it goes before a mod that isn't having it. My suspicion is that the icing of that account probably isn't due to the pet's name, since in cases like those (especially when the pet in question is adopted from the pound), the pet usually just gets deleted.
  8. Looked the pet up, and, uh Error: The owner of this Neopet has had their account frozen. « Back
  9. Update: I did not win. I'm sure you are all shocked by this revelation.
  10. Aw, I'm sorry about your cat How long ago did they run away? I'm a bit of a name snob, except when I'm not. Some of my pets are just nice named pets I've gotten from the pound, and others I've traded for, so I can't really take the credit for making the names. But I tend to like names that have the right vibe for the character I'm going to base around the pet, such as Wrecho, who I found in the pound, and turned into a mutant Xweetok because the name sounds a bit like 'wretched' or Giovannai, who I traded for, and turned into a Pirate Buzz, because it sounds like a swashbuckler-esque name. Of the pets I've created, a lot of them are named after my characters - Scizen, my Mutant Eyrie, is named after the main character of my first novel Svonclaw and Byorwing, my Royal Vandagyres, are named after some Dragon Age homebrew lore, the gods of Duty and Faith, respectively. Then there's my pets named after my homestuck fantrolls: Jepire (Robot Buzz), Squeri (Robot Bori), Regieg (GLowing Kyrii), Giloug (Transparent Kyrii), and Iofana and Ressom, my Royal Kyriis. Sadly the gang is unlikely to ever be complete, as the other six characters have both their first and last names already taken! I also enjoy hunting down names of characters from my favorite games that haven't yet been taken, and there's a surprising amount if you go for the more obscure characters. And then there's my edible pets account, in which I have sought out pets with less-than-perfect names, mostly pound adopts. A couple of them are: coooooooooooooookie, my Cookie Skeith lollypops4eva, my Strawberry Kyrii and __Ms_Chocolate__, who I'm currently zapping to turn into a Chocolate Kyrii. This was mostly to challenge myself to not be such a name snob and there is something very fun and nostalgic about these janky names!
  11. Yeah, I bet right around reset, so I'm guessing that the FCNC wasn't updated yet or something. Oh well, it'll just remind me to check more carefully next time!
  12. You don't even need to make a page in your gallery for them, there's existing albums for them on the site. But yes, the TCGs have no purpose.
  13. I will report back in twenty hours. Fingers crossed!
  14. So I was on a call with my friend while I was playing my food club bets, and incredibly distracted by the game she was streaming... anyway, long story short, I was NOT paying attention to whether the bets from the FCNC string actually matched up, and... Well, I think something went just a bit wonky... Look at those odds. Incredible. Today's bets are obviously a wash, but at least I got a good laugh out of it! Anyone want to start a book on whether or not one of these will miraculously win?
  15. I'm looking for a Gathow (or a Snow Gathow), offering 1M! My skald needs her kitty cat.
  16. There's two seperate decks. There's the Collectable Cards, aka the NeoDeck, those are the ones that just have names (usually characters) and a picture, and show up on your profile (https://www.neopets.com/games/neodeck/index.phtml?owner=col_mack). Think of them like baseball cards! They have a hiscore table, but otherwise serve no function. And then there's the TCG deck, or the Trading Card Game, which are the ones that are based on the old IRL game deck, that have rules for a game similar to Magic the Gathering or YuGiOh, which are collected here: https://www.neopets.com/tcg/album.phtml and I guess at one point you could play matches on the site? That looks like it's gone now, though.
  17. I hope they do! I doubt we're going to get new games anytime soon, but it would be nice to have the glitches fixed, at least.
  18. The upright pets do seem to be more popular, although usually it's the kacheeks and draiks and such. I think it's because they're easier to customize. Clothing fits most of the quad pets a little strangely.
  19. Fair enough. My work is pretty brain-dead so when I play games I'm mainly looking for something that IS mentally stimulating, or has the ability to set long-term goals to save up for, which... yeah, Neopets has pretty much lost almost all of that aspect of itself. No more long-term plots, and apart from a few exceptions in the hidden tower, everything is either free or so inflated you're just endlessly chasing an ever-rising price tag. Or glitched. *shakes fist at the lab ray* Haha, I was also absolute garbage at the earlier plots and puzzles, also because kid, but I was looking forward to having a crack at them when I came back... except there's no more of them anymore! It's disappointing but I guess that's just the direction the site is moving in. At least there's still the creative side of the site, honestly if that wasn't there I would be long gone.
  20. Some of the fishing loot got added to the coincidence pool, so it is worth selling now! Waterfish are around 500np, and Landfish ar at 1k :0
  21. Yeah, not having a 1.5 day was a real blow to people in certain time zones. I guess they just forgot? It's been really glitchy too, apparently, some people are getting more shards and some less than five. But what else is new with this site lol? Yeah at least it's bringing down the paint brush prices, the faerie PPPB in particular was just grossly inflated. Hopefully everything will settle back at its pre-inflation prices like what happened with the Halloween PB! I am worrying that I may have goofed with buying the snowglobe right off the bat, though. I was assuming everyone would be so focused on the PBs that it wouldn't drop that much, but it's already nearing 1M, which at that point I would have just bought it myself. Oh well, live and learn I guess.
  22. I got the snowglobe and the stamp. I still want the bomb, the books and the food but I'm going to wait and see if the prices shake out so it's better to buy one of the PBs and sell it rather than buying them directly. The horn and the gummies I want for my galleries but those will probably end up super cheap so I'll just pick those up for NPs if possible. The prizes are neat, I just wish that the event had more of an interesting puzzle to it! It's so easy that the items just feel like they're free which I personally don't like.
  23. Love that outfit! I don't have a scorchio yet, either, so if I can find a good name I might be having a blacksmith joining my viking-themed account.
  24. *wheelies into the thread* Kyriis, Buzzes and Vandagyres. are my all-time faves. Although I do also appreciate grundos. I currently have 13 kyriis, 9 buzzes, and 7 vandagyres, and there's like a dozen more of each that I want Least Favourite: Kiko, Jubjub, Meerca and Chia. I don't like Round
  25. That hopso is terrifying. He looks like he's going to steal my lunch money.
