So over the past week I basically caved and used all the free NC I had from the pet slot promo to buy a pet slot on each of my accounts, and created five new pets within about as many days. It all started when I was searching for names for my future royal vandagyres. I settled on them pretty quickly: Svonclaw and Byorwing. I'm not surprised these names were untaken, they're names I made up for the story I'm writing for my dragon age character, the god and goddess of the duty/the sun and faith/the moon respectively. But they're tangentially Viking-themed, and I'm quite proud of the worldbuilding and lore I developed for that story, so I'm quite pleased that they were both free! (Imagine if one was free and not the other? Devastating!) But from there it just kind of snowballed. I was in name-searching MODE, and I managed to snag two more fandom names: Nezikchened (from runescape) and Kabethari (from dragon age). I plan to morph them into a Darigan Buzz and Desert Kyrii respectively (I really should do island for Kabethari to be true to canon, but I just don't like the island colour! ) but I kind of want to wait and do one of those painting parties that are popular on the pound chat, once I get a name for the pirate buzz I also want! I'm actually still sitting on another two untaken names, but I have no room left and they're not quite as nice as those two. Maybe if we ever get new slots lol And then finally, the silliest of all my new pets: I traded for a pet named Mariggold a few years ago, to make a royalgirl mynci. Well, I just realised the other night that Mharigold was untaken, and... so I created her, because that double 'g' has always bothered me. I just wish I'd found out about it before I painted her, now I gotta buy another royal pb But 1.7M is worth it to me in order to not have that spelling glaring at me every time I look at her. It's sooo silly, but I just... ugh. I can't not have the perfect names. (Although, iirc Secre did pretty much the same thing with her pet Voldermorts, didn't she? Except she was smart enough to do it BEFORE she painted lol!) At any rate, Mariggold will find a new owner, who hopefully appreciates her more than I did! So yeah, Five new pets in under a week. I guess I went a bit overboard lol. Has anyone else ever done this? I just couldn't resist! Despite the fact that I haven't even finished painting the pets I already had! The only problem is that when I get the urge to create pets again, I'll have no slots left! Then what?

My bad! I only took like 2 years of piano in high school and I remember less than I knew before. Yeah, I think I'm going to go for the outfit once it comes down in price. I just wish DTI worked for me, so I could see what the outfit looked like, because I'm not sure whether I should go for an Elderlygirl or something more muted like Brown or maybe Camouflague. Or Desert? I do like the idea of an old lady violist but I also like the nod to the "travelling" part of the troubadour troup by having some location-based pets. Oh well, I've got time to think about it and I can always do some mockups in photoshop. I don't even have a pet yet!

^ A little bit, yeah! I'm not usually a fan of wigs on any pet, especially kyriis, because their lovely manes are the best part of them! But this looks like the mane is just braided. Either way I know @Angeló is going to want that violin!

@Singledwish123 I've never heard of that birthday boon! I've heard that certain zaps are supposed to be more common at certain times of the year (namely Halloween and Christmas) but nothing about that. A quick editorial search doesn't bring up anything, so I have a feeling both rumours are just that, rumours, or maybe coincidental bias or whatever it's called when you notice things more when you're looking for them. Best of luck either way, robot ogrins are very snazzy!

So it was Inspection Day for all my pets, and I've bought a few more pet slots with my saved up NC (if UCs ever come out I'll cross that bridge then) to make space for my royal vandagyres (already got them created, but I want to crosspaint them so I'll need 4 PBs and it will take a while to save for that and I figured it would be fun to do them all at once!) . And I've decided to temporarily switch from zapping for a Faerie Lenny which I think might end up getting yeeted (because I'm changing that account to 'travelling threatre troupe' instead of 'faerieland high art society') and instead start zapping one of my kyriis for steampunk. I'm STILL trying to get Movario to zap Halloween on my main, btw, if anyone remembers when I was doing that LAST YEAR. But regardless, switching to zapping for the kyrii, and got this as my first zap: The ray is fired at Melspeth... ... and she changes colour to Toy!! It's.... promising? Hopefully?

Oof, that's awful luck! I mean, it is kind of a sunk cost, isn't it? What if it's the next zap, and all that? And let me tell you, as someone who's gotten that zap twice now, it's definitely worth the wait. Zapping is a fun journey, not a quick hop from A to B. And if you're into customization, you collect a lot of neat clothing on the way! Do you have other pets you want to zap instead, particularly for a lab exclusive? If not, then you are essentially 'wasting' your zaps if you don't use them... so you might look at it like that to make it a little easier. (Plus, imagine how frustrating it would be to get Robot... on a different pet!) But if you're really furstrated, you might try and trade for one on the pound chat, although you'll need a pet to trade. And this is only if you don't care about using a specific name. Edit: So I just looked it up via my forum posts and zapping my robot buzz took approximately 1,351 days, or 3 years, 8 months, and 12 days. Give or take a hundred or so when I wasn't able to log in. So, uh, 83 days or 1351 days is... quite the range lol

The outfit is indeed pretty nice! I'm trying to decide if I want to try and get it for a character for my troubadour & theatre gang or not... i usually don't do much with customization outside of paintbrush clothes and backgrounds, but it would fit in pretty well. I'll wait and see what the prices end up being I don't want to dump my whole bank on it lol

The current minimum for that is 372, although it might be a few less at the beginning of the month, as the top ranks usually hold off placing for a day to let others have the chance to get it. Unfortunately, between the death of flash, the number of retired plot avatars, and the fact that most of the stamp avatars are near unbuyable, getting that avatar is very difficult. Not impossible, though, although unless you have an older account, you'll either need a lot of NP to burn on stamps, or a workaround for flash. Possibly both.

Gonna be lurking in this thread for advice! I've been sporadically training up my BD pet over the past few years, but my set's never gotten past the "beat koi warrior in 1 hit" rank. I'm still rebuilding the bank, though, so my training will likely continue to be sporadic! I might have to look into this kitchen quest thing... (Also to get off topic for a second, the Legend of Dragoon?! That's a game I haven't heard of in years! I wonder if my PS1 still works, I think I still have it kicking around somewhere... out of curiousity, did you ever play Dark Cloud? That was my all time favourite game, I think I beat that like 6 or 7 times through high school.)

It's also literally the only petpet I could have gotten for him. Part of that pet's backstory is that he's a disgraced yooyuball player, and the other four pets in his 'group' all have mutant petpets, so... mutant yooyu was really the only good choice. But hey, what are neopoints for if not to be spent?

I've notice the occasional lag spike, but I just chalked it up to my internet being Like That. That dang 404 though, I get that practically every single time I try to use the lab ray. As for the flash, is it possible that TNT has just pulled the plug on the flash games? They did say back in 2021 that they wouldn't be supported forever, only that people could continue to play them with workarounds until they were eventually disabled.

@Secre ohhh right! i haven't played that in ages. neat! and it was the mutant yooyu. they were only 10-12m like a year ago but they're a retired item and i know that even if the inflation does settled, they're probably not coming back down anywhere near that again, so i just went for it before they got worse. it was the last petpet i needed for that account, it's now my second account that's 100% complete! but whoo boy did that ever put a dent in my bank! i only had like a mil left. working on the rebuild now

Oh, the haunting story is a great idea! It's a pity there's no ghostly weewoo, but the grey does a good job at looking suitably mysterious! 4 mil isn't bad at all, considering that's three whole petpets! (i may have dropped 22m on one just a week ago lol) What page is that, by the way, where you can see all the petpets together?

so glam rock was one of my special interests all throughout highschool and yeah, i 100% thought of bowie when i saw that outfit. maybe it's not directly based upon him, but it 100% has the right vibes i just wish it wasn't for the blumaroo the paint colour is lovely, though. i feel like i've seen the painting its based on? although the artist is escaping me..
