ive been doing the same with the 'piecrust' cheat from carnival of terror! you type everything but the 't' during the first few seconds of the game before the clowns start showing up. i suppose i should get back on trying to get that avatar, im only 9 points off

im currently using the Virtupets Space Dock 010 Background for my aisha, but that one is pretty pricey at about 1m but once i get my robot buzz, ill be giving her the Floating In Space Background, which is a fairly cheap NC item (150nc iirc?) i think this one makes more sense given that the aishas are wearing an actual space suit! other backgrounds on my space account: Exploring Kreludor Background (60k) Space Station Airlock Background (20k) Space Station Room (36k) Resistance Headquarters Background (37k)

i dig it, no sense in wasting all those smaller patches of leather when you can combine them. that is a good point though, usually the seams would be very tiny to make it more waterproof. it's probably just to make it more visible. still, i really like stuff like that, same as having armour and weapons show signs of repair. and that tail guard is just sooooo edgy, i love it. shoes are definitely a little weird, though. like they were going for sabatons but forgot that there should be a whole foot *and* a boot inside

wow, that's a... uh... look, alright it probably could have been good, maybe? i think the artist just added too much stuff in there. it's like the kind of monster i would have designed when i was like, 9 and had no self-control. there's just... so much going on and nothing really meshes very well. plus the colours don't contrast very well but man oh man, seeing those fanarts that @Secre linked... like i would have happily dropped my entire bank on either of them!! edit: so i figured out part of the reason that this one looks so bad, there's like no variation in value between the green and the purple, and only a little between them and the pink i put it next to some other mutant colours, the draik is probably the weakest here and its still better than the vandy

that is a fancy hat!! also i like that this steampunk job is a little lighter? some of the other ones are so dark that its hard to see what's what on them. like the metal feet, too. bet that sounds cool when it walks.

back on topic, the mutant vandagyre was mentioned in yesterday's editorial:

thats true. wearable can also be resold, whereas the amount of stamps will go down over time as people add them to their albums.

some of the wearables can be worth a surprising amount. the background is currently selling for about the same as the stamp, ~300k, and the glass and necklace about half that. the petpet is also worth about even with the point cost.

that's too bad, cause they also changed it so that each pet can only eat 1 cupcake a year. wish they'd left the birthdays on lookups alone, it is nice to be able to see it!

lol yeah, fool on me for assuming that they would publish a completed event. i've never seen any sort of prize shop cuts its prices mid-event before. the stamp was the only thing i wanted, so i just decided to get it now so that i could move on to other things. no idea what im going to do with these refunded points. buy another one and sell it i guess?

yeah the darker lines on the pastel colours really make a difference! digging the outfit too, especially that wig!!

that marble colour is beautiful! the splotches on the wings look a little weird, but otherwise it's very classy.

so has charity corner ever not had perks? it's not entitlement for people to expect perks if that's been the status quo for multiple years in a row. like, good for you if you saw this coming, but maybe don't put the blame on other people for not being super cynical? the perks seemed pretty cool, a way to tailor the site to your own needs. so of course people looked forward to them, and of course they're upset that they've been replaced with lootboxes. (also they didn't change the text when youre using the machine, it still says 'living with less')

im less upset about the sticky snowballs than i am about the perks being replaced with prizes. i was planning to try for the game score avatar perk.
