So I just came back to Neopets after a really long hiatus, and I realized that my account was in the all-clear for the Almost Abandoned Attic!
I went in the items kind of sucked so far, so I refreshed not 3 seconds later, and it's restocked with goodies.

I went to the bottom of the page and I saw a Gnarrl Enchantress Wig that only cost approximately 3000np. I'm not really into the customizing business, so I just moved on, not really recognizing it

Later when I checked the trading post, I found out that it was worth at least 200K. I'm going to backflip off a building I swear oh my god I'm still grimacing in pain.

Do any of you guys have these moments? (especially restocking pains)

A gorgeous bag and a lovely wig! WHY can't we just keep the bag after opening it? That way we can have the nice wig and the bag at the same time...Thank goodness for side accounts.
 
Even better: stop making the bags so beautiful!! That way we don't have to get torn. And more bags will get opened that way, too.

Two new eyes will start restocking at Haunted Weaponry. You'd better watch out when shopping there, because they may be watching you.

Wraith is pretty well done. Pretty vicious looking, but not terrifying! I can't warm to Dimensional at all, the yellow hurts my brain. The male outfit is quite interesting. :)

Just been having a conversation with a friend and we were wondering how you worked out the % of people who have a particular avatar?
 
Is it the % of people who have that avatar and are keeping their info on TDN, or is it the % of people who have the avatar on neopets its self?
 
and how do you gather and work out that data if its from neopets site its self?

TNT did a nice job :D I really like the pastel scheme of the clothes on the girl and the disco pet looks super cute ^^
 
I got into the art gallery today too - yay for Poogles being easy to draw :happydance:

I personally feel that Draiks and Kacheeks are so popular because a lot of people love the way they can customise them.

You can mix 3 Fading Bottled Faeries at the Cooking Pot to get one random Weak Bottled Faerie. Other than that, I'm not sure they have any other use.

Is it your active pet? Remember that some dailies (Coltzan's Shrine, tdmbgpop, Healing Springs, Wheel of Excitement, Wheel of Knowledge) can contribute to your pet becoming bloated, also some random events. If you are unable to feed your pet anything (Instead of it saying "I'm too full", you get an error that your pet is still in the NeoLodge), that would be a bug and should be reported :)

A very cool new addition! I wonder if it will begin to factor into pet trading for some people- maybe someone wants a pet with their own birthday, or with a certain holiday or something (a leap year pet?)

Which faction will you side with??? Is it the Seekers, the Brute Squad, or the Sway?

P.S. This is indeed getting boring.

It is quite ferocious isn't it? I think it's fabulous for those into scary-looking pets!

While I was on vacation with my dad last week, the topic of homosexuality just kind of came up while we were driving in the car one night, and so with a lot of nervousness I told him I was gay. He reacted totally fine which is basically what I expected, but it's still nice to not have to do it anymore and I'm happy that he reacted the way he did.
 
Now I still have to tell my mom and brother.. but still, that's one more family member down!

The second weapon looks so deadly! Reminds me of a toucan. :P

I don't know how it is around the world, but I do know that California has a bill in the works about transgender students. If a male student identifies as a girl, or if a female student identifies as a boy, then that student will be allowed to use the locker rooms and bathrooms of the gender with which they identify.

I'm having trouble with making a decision. I'm normally quite good at putting myself in other people's shoes, but I can't do it in this case because I've never cared that much about genitals. I don't know what it's like to feel like you were born with the wrong ones, and I don't know what it's like to care about what other people's genitals look like. It sounds like complete cisgender privilege, and it is. At least I recognize it.
 
On the bathroom issue, I've made my decision. There are stalls. There are only two reasons to have sex-segregated bathrooms at all: 1) if rape is an issue, and 2) so boys don't find out that girls poop in real life. Rape is an issue in bathrooms more at night in non-supervised places. I have a really hard time thinking "Hey, that transgendered student can't use the bathroom because he/she might rape the other students." And I have a REALLY hard time caring about boys finding out that girls poop. I honestly don't believe in sex-segregated bathrooms, other than perhaps one bathroom that has nothing but urinals. In fact, integrating the bathrooms would help a lot, seeing as how all the diaper-changing tables are in women's bathrooms and sometimes fathers actually change diapers. So absolutely, transgendered students should be allowed to use bathrooms of the gender they identify with.
 
With locker rooms, it's harder. I think about the reasons for having separate locker rooms--and as far as I can tell, it's so that little Sally doesn't have to see little Timmy's ding-a-ling. As far as I can tell, the reasons for having separate locker rooms have everything to do with sex, not gender. (Remember: difference between sex and gender is that sex is what your genitals look like, while gender is what you feel in your mind. I know that's ridiculously simplistic, and I'm sorry, but it's the best overview I can give.)
 
If it has to do with sex, not gender, then I lean more toward not having transgendered students in the same gender but opposite sex locker room. But I would love to hear perspective from actual transgendered people about this. Right now, I feel too ignorant to make a sure decision on that. I have a few transgendered acquaintances, but I'm not close enough to feel comfortable directly asking them such personal questions.

That's perfectly fine. You can play games in the order you want and your account will remain safe even if you mix and match them.
