Yes, I believe you can keep & use the 2500 NP, as well as the NP earned if you create a pet on that account, and also if a random event occurs while logged in on that account. If you run out of NP on your side and want to keep feeding your pets, you'll have to send food by using the "give to a Neofriend" function when you click on the item in your inventory, or transfer NP (I think through the trading post).

OMG, the xmas clothing is cute, but the snowy owl underneath is just too much. I love neopets that reflect "real life" animals - this is awesome!

Does 8 "quests" mean the adopt-a-neopian part only, or just # of time donated?

Even so... this goal still seems financially and time-wise unobtainable for me. :( e.g. I didn't get to do the quests yesterday because I spent half an hour trying to load shop wiz, shop pages, buy items, etc. and ran out of time to finish before "real" life got in the way.

 

I appreciate that TNT is trying to take our struggles into consideration, but the site is like pretty much unuseable. =/

Has anyone tried purchasing the discounted premium yet?

 

 

I've never had premium but decided to try it out. When I went through with the payment and clicked continue, I was redirected back to the main page and I haven't received a confirmation email and there's no evidence that my account has premium. Sometimes it takes a few days for things to show up on my credit statement, but realistically, the transaction should have gone through right away (same as purchasing an item at a store, right?). I don't want to try signing up again for fear I'll be billed twice. I'll send a ticket, but just wondering if anyone else has encountered this??? :eh:

There is one on the trading post right now, as are some of the birthday petpets that come from the bag, so I guess someone has gotten one! :O They probably sell very quickly.

 

Usually people say to refresh every 5-10 seconds to avoid being banned too quickly. If you get banned from restocking the shops, the shop will appear empty, but this doesn't usually last more than a day.

 

 

 

Edit: I guess people could also be getting them at the money tree WISHING WELL (edit#2: thanks Spritzie). But I don't think that means you should give up! Even if you don't see the goodie bag at the toy shop, maybe you'll be able to grab some other valuable items. :)

 

My Lallyt is currently with a Plushie Sandan (she accepted the Plushie version of it, lol)

 

I think petpets work the same way as books; pets don't seem to like things with the same number of letters as their own name. :p If you change the language, the regular sandan may have been accepted - but that's okay, the plushie is still super cute!

 

 

I think the sandan is perfect, but I also like other shenkuu-themed pets, such as the naleap. :)

 

Does this mean that the whole restocking system is fixed? A while ago, I think shops were only restocking every couple hours (?), and the attic hadn't stocked since the transfer. Not sure if I've heard an update.

I was actually thinking about posting this! :p The response to the original camo artwork was so overwhelmingly negative that I'm surprised so many people here like it, lol. I prefer the stealthy pteri, myself. :)

OMG, I never paid attention to the closing time of the contest. Since it said 'closing October 8', I was hoping they would update the date & time before closing. I was planning on submitting entry today but didn't have the chance to get online before it closed; didn't think it would be so early. BOO.

 

I really hate to be a whiner, but I'm pretty disappointed in the way this whole thing was managed :(

TNT actually JUST posted a Key Quest update in the news last week. No definite answer. :( I really miss KQ too!

 

 

• Key Quest Update! - We know that everyone (that includes us) has been anxiously awaiting the return of Key Quest. However, due to many bug fixes taking priority on our list, Key Quest has been pushed back quite a few times over these past 4 weeks. In the process, we also discovered that we were missing essential files to get Key Quest up... *collective groan* Yes, we know. :(

   

  The good news is, we think we have finally recovered the files we need... but we are still in the process of compiling everything together. Unfortunately, that means that at this point, we are unable to determine exactly how long it will take to get Key Quest back. Nevertheless, we wanted to give you an update to let you know that we are working hard to make it happen!

   

  In the meantime, we will continue to focus on fixing bugs and providing new content as well, where we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated, fellow Neopians. Thank you!

I don't mean to sound rude, but the reason you're can freely be so masculine and tomboyish is because of feminism. Feminism has nothing to do with being womanly and everything to do with being able to be your true self. Sexism can impact all women, regardless of how feminine or masculine their personality is.

I have one battle pet and one brainiac (reader), don't have a lab map and haven't gotten into gourmet foods or anything like that yet. Those are the only two permanents on my main; the rest are on side accounts so don't have specific neo-related "roles", but all have [yet to be posted] backstories. :)

I've only dyed my hair once - my cousin did it for a hairdressing exam and it was really nice, just a deeper brown colour. I'm too cheap to do it regularly though, LOL

Totally agree with everyone saying it's too bad. I've tried to enter the random contest before and have never gotten in, and since I have 0 computer skills (the only drawing I do is on paper), I don't think I'll have a shot at this last contest. Really wish there would have been more warning or I might have tried my hand at the spooky cards one :(

Wow. LOVE the woodland. :o I also usually don't pay much attention to clothing but I really like this set. I have a feeling it might look cool on a robot eyrie.

I'm sure there are many things you could write a paper on, but I think the most obvious answer would be the economy, and maybe the effect of Habitarium on inflation in particular. However, following the inflation/deflation of any item over a period of time would be interesting.

 

There could also be neopets historians (and I guess some people already have petpages dedicated to this kind of things) - it's a pretty old site. The fact that the site is so old can also create an interesting dynamic between old and new players.

 

 

As far as culture goes, I'm not sure if I have any "theories" but I'd say that there are probably numerous cultures on the site itself, i.e. each land/world has it's own culture, and there are also unique cultures surrounding items or activities like meepits, avatar collecting, etc. I'm sure there are some parallels that can be drawn to our own society.

Hate to be a downer, but I watched the first two seasons and couldn't continue. :p The show is really awesome visually, but I felt like a lot of the drama was forced and just wasn't enjoying the plot.

 

 

I hate how the plot is developed sometimes, and some of the characters... Especially Carl. :angry:

Totally agree! It's probably my favourite free NC wearable so far. It looks awkward on some pets but I've also seen it used in some awesome customizations. :) It's especially cool on pets that are already kind of blue/green - maractite, water, ghost, electric, etc.

I've heard that the duped items glitch has been fixed, but there are still tons of bogus items floating around out there. Does anyone have an estimate on when it will be safe to use the TP and auctions again?

 

Also, is there a good chance that less expensive items were duped too? I'd like to open my faerie quest cookie and start training my pet at the training school again, but I don't even know if the shop wiz is safe. D:

I'm surprised by all the love for the pastel! I thought it was a little plain haha, but I'm glad other people like it. I suppose it could make a nice base for some nifty customizations. :)

These are pretty popular in Asia, and it's cool to see the idea expanding. Unfortunately, I think they can be tough to implement in North America due to food safety regulations - there are a few out there though, so I hope it works out. :) I've also heard that it can be hit-and-miss with the cat interaction because sometimes they will just hide in the back or sit on tall perches, but I guess nobody wants to be overstimulated!
