I only have two pets on my main; one is a battle pet and the other I read books to. The rest of the pets on my side I just focus on customizing and they all get treated pretty equally.

 

Like others, I keep my plain/unpainted pet as my active for fear of colour-changing events. I haven't heard much about them since the random event revamp though... do they still exist? :o

I am completely confused on how we sweeped Kiko Lake. Did we suddenly gain really amazing players that dedicate their lives to AC, or is it something else...?

 

I noticed that too... weird! I didn't even play at all yesterday. Actually, every single time I don't play, we end up doing better against the other team. I'm cursed. :laughingsmiley: Good job on the wins though, team!

Congratulations! I usually only manage to squeak out Rank 1 each year (this year finally being the exception). It's a lot of playing just for the lower ranks; I don't know how the all-star players do it!

 

Even with Rank 1 you can still get enough points to score some decent prizes at the prize shop, like a book and a few wearables. Plus a nice new trophy for your user lookup! Yay! :)

Agreed with everyone else that it's quick/easy NP... let's hope it stays that way!

 

My score of 11,792 earned me a bronze trophy a few days ago and I'm still sitting in 13th place. :) Unfortunately I feel like it was a total fluke and I think this game is as much luck as it is strategy.

The cup always falls at a busy time for me (summer jobs/gardening season), but I'm hoping to play at least a few games every day and go hard on the weekends! :P

I don't wear perfume, so I'm not really sure what I smell like! This might be super lame, but I actually quite enjoy the smell of Justin Bieber's first perfume, 'Someday'; my sister bought it when it first came out and I used to steal it all the time. (:

The Zig Zag negg today is supposed to be found on Roo Island, but I can't find it! I clicked through all the links 3 times, then tried JellyNeo's list of links. This is the fourth time this year I've been unable to find the patterned negg on my own, but in the past JN's list has always worked - no such luck today. I also tried in Safari instead of Chrome, but still no dice. Anyone else experience this?

 

 

Edit: Found it! It was on the main roo island page - I got it after I clicked a link on the neoboards, even though I visited Roo Island through the neopets world map and from links on both JN and TDN. Weird! :S

Two of three pets on my main are from Neopia Central. Since I'm a health nut, I'd probably go shopping at the Neopian Health Foods shop and throw together a salad. I also love to bake though, so maybe some Asparagus Chocolate Cupcakes would be in order? :p

Haha, I'm the same way with Disney movies. I think I could recite the Lion King from memory.

• Both of my upper front teeth are partially fake. I broke each one on a separate occasion!
• I used to be an extremely picky eater, and now I don't think there's a single food I wouldn't eat.
• I played 8 different competitive sports in high school. I never kept any of them up, but I ran a half-marathon last year.
• I'm very interested in science and probably too skeptical for my own good.

I'd go with painting the royal! Like Angelo said, it's harder to reverse your decision if you go with the jelly. Plus, I love the colour of the jelly! (I also love the colour of the pastel, but I don't know if it's worth losing the jelly over). Plus, the current carrot robe outfit your royal is wearing would go perfectly with pastel! ^_^ You also still keep the royal clothes and could use them on another cy if you felt like it.

Passiflora: Hemp actually is illegal to grow in most states. Most (99+%) of the hemp available today such as hemp seeds (yum and super healthy) and fiber (for clothing, bags, etc) is from Canada. A handful of states are able to grow hemp legally (including my state of Vermont) but there are no large scale operations currently. Eventually it will take over much of the south as a replacement for the immensely pesticide dependent cotton crop, but currently we have to import it all for insane reasons.

 

That's interesting, I actually didn't know that! I'm from Canada and even here, I think there are quite a few loopholes to jump through in order to grow hemp. I think hemp is a great product and that production could be expanded, but I don't think it's a very strong argument for legalization of marijuana.

 

 

Also, medically, marijuana is hardly limited to small sections of the population. Aside from schizophrenia, a significant number of disorders (and majority of people in the states) can benefit from it. This includes the low THC strains of mj which greatly benefit seizure disorders. Anxiety being one of the most widespread and destructive to "normal" people and everyday life, is hugely reduced by use at onset.

 

The link between cannabis and schizophrenia is controversial and I've never heard of it being used to treat schizophrenia. Anxiety is also a common side effect of marijuana so I think we'd need a lot more research before we started approving it for that purpose.

Yeah I actually have quite a few sources.

It started with the Division of Narcotics being established in the treasury and the man who was in charge of running it wanted to make more of a splash for his name and knew that just attacking cocaine and opiates were not enough. That with DuPont and other plastics company supporting the legislation, using marijuanna instead of cannibas, and supposedly paying off politicians (I have only seen speculation on that) it passed in the senate. In the house it was debated for 30 seconds (aka not debated) and passed because of a lie. Sorry for the late response I kind of forgot to check this.

 

So I guess my first post was on one side. What I just typed was the other side.

I had the exact same problem! I clicked through all the shops 3 times, and mine was finally found at the Rainbow Pool when I went through the JN links. I always like to try and find the patterned neggs without the help of external sites (although I use TDN for the plastic neggs), so that's kind of disappointing. :(

Haha I chose 4 of the options. I buy stocks almost daily and put most of my excess neopoints in the bank, but if I get a good take on the stock market or something like that I'll buy stamps or try restocking. It depends on how much time I have that day, I guess. :)

I haven't watched very much of that show, but my sister once showed me a clip of Tina learning to drive and we laughed over it for quite a while. :P

Random question. I tend to always use the guide's here to figure out which stamps I need. If the stamp is missing from the TDN guide does that mean neopets hasn't actually released that stamp yet?

 

Yes. For example, (I think) the scarabs page was only recently made complete by the release of the Day and Night Scarab. :o Not all albums have 25 items available to fill the page!

Is the BD avatars not working only very recent with the random events thing? I've gotten the Kasuki Lu - Heeyah!, Meuka - Snotty, Tonu - Charge!, and Black Pteri avatars since the release of the new battledome. I had never really trained my pet until the Obelisk plot, but afterwards I was finally strong enough to knock some of those avs off the list! :)

I'm actually researching and writing a speech about it right now.

The big plastic company around the time that this legislation was put in place was throwing so much money towards lobbying who constrewed it. (Which is why the term marijuanna is so prevelant verses cannibis). They found out that companies could make plastic out of cannibis for much cheaper and got really upset about it. Used the hispanic slang term for it and tried to push it through legislation before USDA and department of health could find out. They found out the day before voting cannibis = marijuanna and by then it was too late.

Do you have any sources for this? Wikipedia seems to suggest that cannabis was made illegal because drug regulation in general was starting to become trendy (including medications, not just recreational drugs). It also sounds like hemp production was starting to slow down before the really restrictive regulations (related to the plastics conspiracy you mention) were even introduced.

Can you name any health or agricultural benefits that don't apply only to specific populations such as cancer/HIV patients or aren't also found in hemp? Hemp isn't illegal.

I also enjoy collecting stamps! I don't have too many, but every once in a while I'll have a little binge where I buy ~5 stamps to add to my album. I've also tried hanging out at the stamp shop a few times to try and nap some for cheap, but it's very competitive there. :(

The not signalling thing gets me too. Or not signalling properly, i.e. signalling as you lane change/make a turn instead of using it to warn other drivers about what you're doing.

 

People around here are very bad for that. I can also kind of understand why though, because my second biggest pet peeve is when you signal to lane change and the person further back in that lane speeds up so you can't get in. People do that a lot too. Then you have to slow down before you move over and it messes with the flow of traffic... ugh! :(

Hmm... this seems like a good topic to make a plug for Coursera. It offers online courses for free! You can earn certificates for some courses but I'm not sure how useful they are in the "real world." I haven't taken a course but I hope to soon; I think it's great for anyone that wants to do some extra learning. :)

That's interesting. Does the online program help you set up getting those 100 hours of experience? I struggle from time to time with the idea of online courses for some types of programs because it was my perception that there wasn't enough in-person experiences. I feel like over half of the learning in my degree was done "in practice" and it would not have been feasible to teach online.

Upon getting the final piece, I have a counter of 90 hours right now. No idea what that's for, maybe a time limit to decide which prize? It should end at midnight NST on the 31st as this is when the NC prizes are done.

 

I just finished and my counter says 78 hours, which would put us somewhere mid-day on Wednesday April 2 (~news time?). People might have all the way until then to finish up this step.

 

 

 

I've also heard that sometimes people get shorter wait times when they aren't able to do the 'quest' every 10-12 hours... so for those worried that you might not finish, keep at it! :)
