Don't buy high. Buy low (15) and sell high. BB has been fluctuating from the mid/high 60's to the mid/high 70's all day. It's unlikely, based on past performance, to go much higher. You could try to time it by only selling once it's gone down 10% from its latest high (so below 69 right now), to see if it will climb higher -- but I wouldn't recommend buying at its current price. I did an analysis a few pages why that explains why buying low/selling high is better than the bank. Buying high = risk of losing it all and it never coming back (see my cautionary tale regarding PPT).
 
I finally managed to catch BB at 75 (I checked at 6:01 and it'd already dropped below it), so I sold it all.

I've won neocash from the qasalan expellibox twice in 2 weeks! Once on the 29 and then again today! Wooooooooooo.

Today I got a Faerie Queen quest! But the best part is that the item she asked for was a 'Ten Gallon Hat'. What she wants with this, idk, but getting 9 stat points for only 50NP I don't really care. Best quest I've ever had. It'd be even sweeter had it been a FFQ for the same price. but this is very nice too.

Wow, this event has been so awesome to me this year. Yesterday I got a Fountain Faerie Quest (and the item cost me only 6,000), and today the Battle Faerie asked me for a Ghostkerbomb Charm, which was basically free. I'm really, really pleased :D Even if I get nothing but Delina quests after this!

It's probably still being worked on, so it might (MIGHT) look better when they finish it.
Nevertheless, it doesn't appeal to me as much as the Altadorian Constellations theme does.
 
I do really hope they open the prize shop and obelisk soon (c'mon, let the Red Erisim get the obelisk!) I'd also love an avatar. I've missed all the previous plot avatars and I really want an avatar that I can display with pride. :D

The art looks super choppy around the Neopets logo. I hope that gets fixed!
I doubt I'll get it though- I wasn't able to finish doing my part, since Pride was defeated before I could get the last hundred battles against her. Alas. :(

TNT is playing an evil game and took to their official Facebook page to show off the Obelisk site theme header! On the picture shows a giant "SOON."

Looks like the Obelisk might open "SOON."

I'm saving for things like the battledome, and with extra I can attempt the difficult avatars and perhaps start a gallery. I'm also going to attempt the 100K interest, but the last page proved a difficult task. :S

There are none on the SSW. But other than that, I can't be of much help. No idea what it's worth.

I'm like that too, so obviously I'm going to say this is normal.
 
But really, I think it is. I see it as a healthy way of managing the stress of losing someone (relatively) close, as long as you digest the grief in the process, rather than let it build up.
 
My condolences for both events, by the way. But it's very good that you aren't entwring a deprssive state.

Five minutes ago I finally reached my goal of having 1,000,000 Np again! I now officially have a BETTER account then my poor 11 year account that was cg'd. True, I don't have access to the Abandoned Attic or the Hidden Tower discount day. But I can live without them until this account is old enough. The best part is that I have a pin, and frequently change my password so no more cging at my expense. Access denied!
 
 
Edit: I also officially have 1,200 items in my sdb, but only 821 are unique :P

I don't know if it was that well-known, but for a while in the early 2000s, Neopets had it's own official magazine. I found my copy of the first issue that was produced, and it has an article about the top ten most talked about items on the site, along with the approximate prices. I couldn't believe some of them. Here's a couple:
 
Thyora's Tear - 10M
Faerie Paint Brush - 185-200K
Darigan Paint Brush - 750-800K
 
The Darigan Paint Brush hasn't increased all that much, but man oh man, the Faerie Paint Brush and Thyora's Tear have skyrocketed in the past ten years.

Thanks for the reminder! I've been buying them, but definitely not as often as I should have been (and wow, I hadn't realised how expensive they have become.)

It's just a reminder to everyone that the price of healing potions is way up, and battlers are suffering for it. Essence of Everlasting Apple is 1,000 np a pop. But here's the thing: you can buy them every half hour from the healing faerie for only 250 np.
 
My recommendation:
 
If you're going to need them during the war, BUY THEM NOW FROM THE HEALING FAERIE. Stock up every half hour. Check the prices on the shop wiz before you buy, to make sure they haven't gone down, but BUY BUY BUY.
 
To everyone else, everyone who will NOT need them during the war...battlers need your help!
 
Even if you don't need them, for the sake of battlers who do need them, please buy them every half hour and sell them. You get to sell for a profit, but having more in circulation will prevent inflation from going nuts. It's a win-win situation--the price goes down, AND you can make a profit. Check the prices on the shop wiz before you buy, but if it's worth it...why not do it?
 
I ask us all to join in...THE APPLE ARMY. Which...just means...go buy stuff. You can buy Essence of Everlasting Apple, or you can buy the cheaper ones as well. Again, always check the prices on the shop wiz before you do it.
 
Visit the Healing Springs now and buy.

I'm pretty lucky - I don't have any known/diagnosed medical or psychological illnesses, and I don't think there's anything present but undiagnosed. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed, sad, or anxious when school gets really busy, especially since I'm in a different city away from my family and boyfriend, but I think everybody feels like that sometimes. I have the most wonderful parents in the world, though. I used to feel a lot of pressure from them to do well and succeed and it would really stress me out, but they've been there for all the ups and downs so I don't worry as much anymore. I can't really think of anything noteworthy. I'm just boring, lol. :P
 
I know many others have commented on this already, but I have to agree - this is one of my biggest pet peeves! I drink from time to time, but it really irks me when people stigmatize others for not doing it. It was the same way for me with smoking & other drugs - I've never tried anything besides alcohol, and people bug me about it all the time.
 
It's a recognized syndrome, and it's very unfortunate that people refuse to believe it's real. :( However, I do think it's understandable for doctors to fear things that have a less objective diagnosis. Of course it doesn't mean they should sweep it under the rug, and I hope they make referrals if they're unsure so people can be diagnosed by experts (like in Qullaso's case). :)
 
I'd just like to confirm this! You've always struck me as positive, friendly, and inquisitive. I would never have guessed that you had so much going on - thank you so much for sharing, and I hope things start to look up for you! <3
 
I'm truly shocked by this! One would think that the main treatment for pernicious anemia would be a B12 supplement - treat the cause, not the symptoms!. Oral or sublingual B12 tablets are relatively cheap and you don't need a prescription for them (they're commonly used by vegans, older adults, etc.). However, it would definitely be worthwhile to talk to your doctor about it some more or seek a second opinion. I'm sorry that you have to deal with that! :(
