Woo! We swept Moltara!  I actually managed to play yesterday.  I am burned out but after a couple day break, I hope that I am back to playing at my normal rate.

I see Moltara also have a fairly large building for a goal keeper :laughingsmiley: He at least doesn't LOOM quite as much as the Tyrannian guy. Played one game against them so far, hoping I'm going to manage more than that. The amount of games needed to rank up solely playing SOSD is getting silly.

Ok, two games now, and got my first game so far with no goals from the other team, 10 - 0...go me, taken 47 games to manage that >_<

When I seen you were sitting at 1st in our bracket I figured for sure you'd end up sweeping us, so it was nice to take the one game away from you. Good luck today against Maraqua! We swept them a few days ago so i"m sure if you work hard like you did to beat us, you'll have a sweep of them. :)

Maraqua seems to be especially good at whipping the ball out of your hands immediately >8(
 
Though...thoughh...I did, just once today (and probably for the first and last time I'll ever manage it) actually steal the ball, get to the goal,  AND SCORE! :rock:

I can't do it either.  It has to be me in the house alone or I'm telling everyone else around me to Shhhhh!  I need complete silence to focus.  My daughter just signed up for the AC yesterday and was learning to play all the games because she'd missed the practise round.  (I didn't think she was interested so I hadn't told her about the AC sign ups.  My bad.)  She was getting frustrated and intermittently making general noises of exasperation. She kept startling me. There would be quiet and then suddenly a burst of sound.  After I missed a cup and gave the wrong person the slushie I was holding pretty much immediately on starting yet another new game, I decided to go and do something else.

I'm really not sure.  To be honest, it's the chatter and banter in the Shenkuu thread that is encouraging me at the moment.  I go in there, air my woes in humorous fashion, we all have a laugh, and I feel better and more inclined to have another go.  In some ways, it's a team effort, but when you can't see the other members of your team or they don't have much of a visible presence online, it feels much more like you're going it alone.  Maybe, in that sense, you could treat it like exercising, where you just have a buddy or two that help keep you going and you help them keep going.  Doesn't necessarily do much for your team overall, but it helps you to keep your spirits up, which is half the battle. 

I reached Rank 10 today.  Still on track!  I've been playing 10 games of YYB/day (20 the first day) and maxing out SOSD.  I am also significantly less burned out than I was at this point last year. 
 
 
Nice job! I think that it is easier to rank up this year.  I vaguely remember All Star needing 1334 rank points and this year it's about 800.  They did lower the game  caps though, to make it so that a user can't reach all star in a day.

They do seem a bit tougher to me.  
 
Also their goalie is literally an elephant.  That's not really fair.

Heh, okay, I've hit my secondary goal of Rank 12. At this point I think I'll just bump my goal up to All-Star. :P This is the fastest I've ever ranked up, I think. Is it easier to rank this year, or am I just playing a lot more?

This is me.  I just hit Rank 2 earlier (well, for me it was last night just before I went to bed but I don't want to confuse the issue with my Australian timezones) and although I currently have motivation (got a fresh cup of tea next to me and my breakfast waiting), it's not going to get me too far, I don't think!
 
EDIT:  I hate that little Mynci!!!!  He is doing my head in.  :grrr:  Is it just me or does this Altador team seem tougher?  My scores are getting lower because we've got a veritable tennis match going on with the ball passing up and down the field like nobody's business.  Mind you, it would help if I could actually shoot well.  I always seem to pass it straight to the goalie or hit the goalpost or I do a pathetic little throw/kick/whatever that doesn't go anywhere.  I'm not sure the space bar on my laptop is coping well with all the abuse. 

I didn't play any games at all yesterday :sad01_anim: I got completely tied up doing a different thing, thinking I'd get to the games later, and then it never happened.  Oh well.

I didn't manage many, enough to get myself to Rank 2 and that was it. Not from not having time, just lack of general will to live when I look at the Restart Game button. :laughingsmiley:

The changes are interesting! I wonder how much of a difference they're going to make.
 
But honestly, MASSIVE kudos to Jumpstart for actually doing something to try and counter the cheaters. The reaction to this is gonna be...intense, to say the very least...

I wasn't able to play much this weekend, but I JUST reached Rank 4 :) Going to change my goal from Rank 5 to Rank 8 I think :) Yay!

It is really weird to me that MSN is the bonus when it is a day where we are playing the Practice Squad.  I am somewhat rhetorically and somewhat genuinely curiously wondering how that works.

I reached rank 9 today.  Finally up to the Bronze shields!  Still got a bit more playing to do today.  I am pretty happy with my pace of 10 YYB games/day and 401 SOSD games/day.  Yesterday, I felt I could have played more YYB, but I decided against it to not burn myself out. SOSD is starting to become a bit of a drag though.

Maybe I shouldn't have achieved it in the first week, now I have nothing to look forward to. xD

I guess the minimum score for YYB is either a win or a draw --- any margin. (Note: draws are worth fewer rank points than a win.  I think it takes 3 but I am not sure.)
