To all Moltara Supporters: I'm writing a piece for the NT about the Molatra team and why they seem to be consistently seem to place low in the rankings. The first section is an entirely fictionalised interview with the team captain but if anyone has anything they'd like to see said, I can integrate it into either a separate fan section or merge it into behind the scenes staff comments depending. So, is there anything you want said?

I'm another who hasn't done CC as I came back just in time for the event to end and it wouldn't have been worth the meagre amount of items I had in my SDB to take part. I have been stockpiling though so I hope it comes back. I'd be really interested to see your list @jellysundae - I'm currently picking up Piles of Dung from the clothing shop which have a rarity of 101 so any additional help would be useful! I've also bought several icases worth of items worth 40np and under from people's shops, but I don't know the rarities well enough to really know if they're worth a lot!!

Agreed on all counts, but at least the NC items weren't confiscated from me as well I suppose. I also suspect they don't have a neomail template for 'you didn't use a banned word but we don't like the connotations so please don't do it again', so the official warning template is just a catch all! I mean, if it were a year old account and I wasn't firmly attached to my pets I might have tried it. Or if the worn item was several million neopoints worth in value. But whilst annoying, it was definitely not worth the value of my pets to me!! Nor the amount of time I've put in trying to get various trophies and the like!

Yes, I thought I'd calculated it, but I completely accept that it's my own fault for not checking! I was too keen to get a day in playing Fallout 4, which even I can't get away with when 'working' as I need to be on emails all day. I won't make that mistake twice! But yes, five days starting a day late should have matched my calculations. Unfortunately, we played six days! I'd normally be thrilled that the break day was on a working day as well, so I can completely understand the other side! I took it from 'This year's tourney is divided into five rounds, each consisting of five days worth of matches and (except for Round Five) an off day' on the standings page of the cup. So I'd calculated the five days play then the sixth day being the Jelly Day. I clearly didn't check the rules page which was a fail on my behalf! And I also know that if I'd have had my head in the game, rather than distracted by getting the Institute trophies in a world of post nuclear fallout, I wouldn't have had this issue. Still annoying mind you!

What they could potentially do is change the scoring so that your goals are divided by the number of players in the team, thereby evening it out between the big players and the smaller teams. I'm not sure how much of an uproar that would cause mind you!!! I well remember the initial uproar when they changed the Yooyuball game - hell, I was part of it - so a change like that could cause absolute mutiny! Well done on your 16 goals - my highest so far is 13 which I have hit a grand total of 4 times so far!!

That is certainly my aim. I want that shiny trophy! I'm slightly peeved that the Jelly Day ddin't match where I thought it would be - five days play should have taken us to Saturday and then Jelly Day on Sunday. I didn't play on Saturday, but knew I was losing the points. I hadn't expected to need to play yesterday and so was rather surprised this morning to discover I had lost not one but two play days and can't build points today. Bah!

That's a fascinating potential look at the behind scenes... and now I really want a yooyu. I have a CHristmas one but I suspect that was given in an event or something... most of my old petpets were. I might need to add that to my list of things to work for and perhaps have a Darigan (to mock my own lack of ability) or just buy a Clockwork as I don't think there's a paintbrush as they are so cute! The latter I could certainly do immediately, but I'm trying to build up my bank balance not deplete it! *Edit: Just realised the clockwork paintjob is the Robot brush. I'm being slow this morning!! Yes, I have to agree with you on the fingers and joints! I've noticed it more this year than last time I played, so I'm clearly getting old. It's a pity it's against the rules to coopt someone else to play for you. I have two much younger sisters who could be bribed and cajoled with sweet things and Lego. Although, not only would that get me banned from neopets, it might get me banned from the house as well... I can't imagine my foster mother being all too pleased at hyperactive children and more Lego on the floor! I'm always in two minds with the clockwork. One glad that an extra eight seconds is gone and two guilty because my ineptitude led to its explosion.

Oh, I didn't know that! Thanks for the info! I assumed automatically that you got a new one by changing teams but that you kept your old one... but then I didn't play in 2018 or 2019 so that explains rather a lot really!

The first handful of times I had very few captcha's. Once I got over about 20 I was getting captcha's every time. No, there's no captcha on YYB or SS. In fairness, my email was polite and sensible rather than whining or rude - I asked if they had to keep the captcha's could they reduce the number down to every 50 games or something. I understand it's to stop cheaters, but a captcha on every game for a twenty second game is rather ridiculous and is really offputting. Particularly when some of the captcha's were putting me through three checks before I could move on, meaning the anti-cheating device was taking more time than the game itself!! I'll just end up not playing that game rather than hounding them in earnest, but it seemed worth a try to just chuck them a polite email and more voices tend to make more of a difference. I don't know a lot about computer security systems, I freely admit, but this seems like a really cack handed way to manage cheaters - and is one that adversely effects the majority of honestly playing characters more than the cheating players, who can also just do what I'm going to end up doing and not send scores on the two affected games.

So I calculated the days based on neopets own description of five days then a break day. So I didn't bother checking yesterday as it should have been the Jelly day. So I've logged in today and it turns out we played Lost Desert January and today is the Jelly Day. What the hell!?

I've just pinged an email to neopets support asking them to rethink the reCAPTCHA checks as I am getting pulled up on every MSN game to click on fire hydrants and paving slabs. The only reason I'm playing the game is because Darigan have lost every day on it so far! If anyone else is fed up, it might be worth nudging them. The more voices the better and all that.

I've just hit rank 9 and it occurs to me that whilst I've been playing hard, I certainly haven't been playing that hard in comparison with former years. I take it the number of games required have gone down in line with the gaming caps? Does this mean the prizes are easier to get or does it simply mean that you have to double All-Star in order to get the highest prizes?? As an aside, I tried to look this up online and instead found a forum where people are openly discussing using software to cheat and send scores for them. Whilst I knew this was possible theoretically, it's not something I've come across before. I mean, why bother playing if you're not going to actually put the effort in!? Surely it makes the trophy and the prizes pointless at best...

So, we're on Day 3 and everyone's fingers must be starting to ache with repetitive strain. So what's your pet peeve about the Altador Cup? Personally, mine is the character shifting during Yooyuball. It knocks me right off as even if a character is slightly further away from the ball, I'd far prefer to be able to stick with the one I'm controlling instead of sending a random character on the other side of the pitch hurtling off in the wrong direction!! Any others?

I normally follow Garet on Food Club, but something rung bells at me that he was letting greed take over common sense so I used his bets as my basis and shifted two of the ten bets so they were boosting the four arenas rather than including a fifth. Garet tanked at 0.10. I on the other hand... Dances! And done it two days in a row!! Slightly lower returns but still 7:1 when Boochi tanked.

Personally, I'm aiming to max out Yooyuball daily - might have to cover for weekends as my husband likely won't understand me playing the same game for hours on end to no obvious purpose! - and then clear at least 200 games in SOSD, potentially max it a couple of days. I dislike SS and SOSD so just tend to play for np early on, but if I max the two other games, I might find myself ramping up extra points that way. Aiming for All Star this year as it's the first year I've played in a while and I doubt I'll have the bonus of working from home with minimal workload in years to come!

Whoot for Darigan! Let the games begin and may the odds be ever in your favour... oh, wrong pop reference. For someone supporting Darigan I sure do hate those Darigan Yooyu's... to the degree that I wander off and let the game continue without me whilst shooting some Showdown penalties until the other team either scores or own goals it. It's about 70:30 to own goals at the moment! Strangely I also just got a 2018 avatar apparently...
