You can open a page with the Shop Wizard before accepting the faerie quest in another tab then you can search in the already open Wizard page with no problems as long as you don't hit Back or Refresh.

Congrats on the FFQ, I have a Desert Xweetox I would like to give to someone, should I have known, I would have transferred her to you gladly :)

FFQs don't add up, if you have an active one and you receive another, the first one is lost, you'll still get to paint only one pet. So it's better to use the one you have before completing the Grey Faerie quest.

"To this day, I sense Vulcan speech patterns, Vulcan social attitudes and even Vulcan patterns of logic and emotional suppression in my behavior,” Mr. Nimoy wrote years after the original series ended.
But that wasn’t such a bad thing, he discovered. “Given the choice,” he wrote, “if I had to be someone else, I would be Spock."

Stealthy Buzz. You want it anyway, and this is the only way to get the avvie. So you get two for one :)
You could, of course, lurk the boards waiting for someone with a FFQ who doesn't care about Buzzes offering to paint a Buzz any colour one would like. I did this and gave someone a Chocolate Buzz and I got the avvie. But I don't like Buzzes and you do, so I don't see why you wouldn't go for it :) Next FFQ - Alien Aisha :)

THERE'S ANOTHER FRIDAY THE 13TH? Yay! Should I tempt fate and play the lotto next month? LOL. Shoot, even if I win the money back that I paid for the ticket, I'd be happy. But if I did win 10 bucks or more, I'm treating myself to an early birthday dinner.

We own 2 acres, so i know he'll get plenty of exercise. My bestie has an older mini aussie. I can't wait to have puppy play dates with them at the beach:P (:
The other thing ya'll are saying is patience. Gosh i know its going to be SO hard to handle the nugget for the first 6 months hahah. I can't wait to start training him day 1. Good thinking about the strangers coming into the house. I read through everyones comments. Some twice even. Thank you all!

Well, you should know that the first months could be tough. Puppies are like kids, they just have to do what they do to grow up :) Even though you teach him, you can't be spared from pissed floors, chewed shoes etc. Just take it easy, it will pass :)Then I think this breed is very clever and follows orders once trained. Dogs need training, they need to know their place in the hierarchy, otherwise they take the lead. You can give them plenty of affection but don't feel guilty when you have to make them wait for you, sit, stay etc instead of allowing them running wild, sleep in you bed and so on. And you have to walk them AND play with them, they need it :)
A piece of advice - don't feed and walk them afterwards, it's bad for their stomach; try to walk them first.
Overall - be patient. Be firm. Be gentle. And have fun, I'm sure he'll be a great dog and he's just gorgeous in that picture!! Cute little treasure! Congrats!

So I'm really excited. I've never had a dog before. Its a red and white Australian Shepherd. He was born yesterday. I get to pick him up on March 30th in New Mexico. It's basically 18 hr drive round trip to get him, but I think its worth it plus I love traveling around. What kind of advice do you guys have for a new dog owner? I've only ever had cats so this is completely new!
I'm really excited to know what his eye color will end up being once he opens his eyes. Its possible because of his breed they'll be blue or one blue one brown.

Here is a newborn picture of the little nugget that the lady sent to us today. I love how the tip of his tail is white. So cute.

this is how he'll traditionally look grown up

I have to confess, I need the subtitles on that show (at least the few clips I've seen of it...). Atlanta has more people from outside the state than from Georgia, so I've not really heard the strong Southern accent much at all.

I've been an extra in several things, and everyone I know who's a fan of that show is like "Why haven't you done TWD yet?" But I don't want to wear the creepy contacts, and since everyone wants to be on the show, it's hard to get on -- and I've never actually seen it. Atlanta definitely has a pretty decent-sized film industry.

I don't think there are many plantation houses left in Atlanta (if there ever were any to begin with), but there are a gazillion Civil War plaques all over the place. Like, driving down a street, keeping an eye on traffic, in the back of my mind I'll note several, and wonder who ever stops their car (illegally... there's little street parking) and goes and reads the things. I have read a few as a pedestrian, here and there, and sometimes it's something like "General X slept in a house that used to be here, three days before Battle Y." Other times, it's a description of a full-on battle.

If I were to describe Atlanta, I'd say it's a typical large city, with its troubled areas, little ethnic areas (with awesome restaurants and shops; it's one of the largest intake points for refugees, and a lot of them end up settling here), urban sprawl, awful public transit and transportation (Snowpocalypse from January 2014, anyone? and the longest commutes in the U.S.), but with an interesting mix of old and new. What makes it unique: Coca-Cola, the Olympics (it's cool to go to Centennial Olympic Park, or drive by the old torch -- you can't actually climb it anymore after it got damaged in a tornado), a puppet museum and theater, the rap scene (I know nothing about this, personally), the Peachtree Road Race (the largest annual 10k in the world, on the 4th of July), festivals, Martin Luther King's birthplace and tomb (and the King Center), the (Jimmy) Carter Center, the fact that it's the public health capital of the world (home to the CDC, and numerous nonprofits, such as CARE and ACS), Chik-Fil-A... and farmer's markets. Giant warehouse-esque "farmer's" markets that take advantage of their proximity to the world's busiest airport to offer cheap produce from around the world. You get spoiled, eating here. And I guess there are a lot of famous neighborhoods, such as Little Five Points, but every city has those.

Oh, and lots of green space and trees. It was a railroad city, and a lot of those tracks are obsolete -- and are in the process of being converted into multi-use paths to connect all aspects of the city. (Why they can't also do that with MARTA, the light rail system, here, I'll never know...)

I would buy the Faerie Tower book needed for my final item avie.

I would then buy a Golden Dubloon Stamp for my Sand Gallery.

Then I would buy a Golden Shell for my gal so she could complete her Shell Gallery.

With the rest I would hunt around User Shops and the TP for some good bargains and splurge on gifts for friends.

I would try to buy a Thyora's Tear. If I couldn't find one, then I'd do the following (and I'd probably start while I was waiting to hear about the TT -- I wouldn't tell the seller about my time limit, and I'd have enough NP to cover the difference in the TT price even if I did some of these other things):
I would upgrade my gallery (it costs nearly 70k per upgrade, so I'd probably do 40 upgrades, for an extra 200 slots): ~3M I would buy armoured neggs, bubbling healing funguses, red codestones, and neggs (to turn into armoured neggs), but only until I had bought up all the cheapest priced ones around (no sense in overpaying): ~5M I would buy 1 item from the hidden tower (I think you can only buy 1 per day): 10-15M (I can't find my list of weapons I'd like to buy, but I think it'd be one of the ones in this range, or at the least the most expensive avatar book) Try to buy a Leaded Elemental Vial Make a lot of offers on new, easy-to-sell trading post lots with seemingly desperate sellers. Withdraw offers after 15-30 minutes and place on other things. Spin the Wheel of Extravagance. Start buying ETS items from user shops and official shops (probably quest items, in anticipation of the next Faerie Festival, though I'd try not to overpay). Try to snag a few ETS (but expensive) things off the auctions once I was SW-banned. Try for the button-pushing avatar until I got it (I once dropped over 200k trying to get it and failed, so this could easily be half a million NP or so... and I'd do this while waiting on trade offers, etc.). While I was shopping, I'd snag presents for various friends (neggs for the one with a negg gallery, mugs/Lupe items/beverages for the one with the Lupe and potent potable gallery...) I wouldn't donate to the Money Tree because the people who get the NP there are those with fast connections, and they already have an advantage over other players. I might give items to people who are trying to save for them (e.g., a lab map piece or two to someone who doesn't quite have enough)...
