So I am now the proud owner of a lab ray and a blue Kau from the Lost and Pound who I am zapping until I get a decent colour for her! I admit my first zap was rather underwhelming for the 2 million neopoints I just shelled out for this particular project... And yes, my main goal with the lab ray is to just keep adopting pets who are stuck in the pound and zap them into something cuter.聽It feels somehow right! Adopting from the Pound and getting them nice colors and adopt them out! But I have two unaged sides and am otherwise full pet space wise... and I've rarely actively hunted avatars. Most of them I've just come across over the last decade and a half! I used聽http://www.neopets.com/~Kylinth聽for my pet grabbing as they only list WN and VWN pets. I've been rather jealous of those of you with the lab ray for a while!! My main issue was that I have very specific plans for all my current pets and they don't tend to involve changing species for example! But the idea of having the lab ray on a side for the sole purpose of zapping pets to help them find their forever homes really worked for me.... even if it cost a small fortune! I've been using both lab rays these days to get various Pet/Petpet-related avatars I've been missing.
