The honing device thankfully doesn't disappear after one use but be warned the Volleyball on Fire is a ONCE use item. :shiftyeyes_anim:

BTW, the Volleyball of Fire is going for 35k, but in my opinion, not worth wasting that much np on. The Honing Mine can be used 2x in the BD (boy was I scared when I didn't see it after it's second use, but when I went to that Pet's Stats after I won the battle-it was there :rolleyes_anim: ) and causes -30 damage points each time. I haven't looked the Mine up on SSW, but if it isn't too pricey-you BDers will want to have this in your weapons line up, I think. :laughingsmiley: Happy Gaming everyone! :rock:

The Homing Mine can be used once per battle and does 10 icons (5 light & 5 fire) worth of damage.  The number of points of damage it does depends on your strength.  My pet only does 25 points of damage to an opponent.

 

The Volleyball did 11 icons damage, but it seems that it is destroyed if it blocks a water attack.

Thank you discobiscuit for giving more accurate information. I really am a rookie when it comes to BD. I keep forgetting that my pets have a higher hp, strength, & defense than most pets for a beginner's account. I was totally obsessed with their training until they could take the Obelisk opponents at the 80 Level. Now I've slowed down and train half at a time (5 pets- I'm crazy). So this is helpful to know that :

An item this expensive isn't likely to make it into my BD arsenal. Swords, shields, and snow- items are my equipment of choice. Homing mine will probably go into my safe, and stay there.
