life_eclectic
This is a long explanation, so please bear with me. Okay, I had an account I wasn't on for a few years because I couldn't remember my password, so I decided not to worry about it. A couple of months ago I realized I remembered the password because I had simply mixed up some numbers and decided I did want to go on again. I went on the account and you know, the smart thing would have been to change the password and create a pin and whatever other updates for security. However, I didn't do that, I got caught up changing my profile and customizing my pets. Anyway, about a week ago I tried to sign on to my account and it tells me the password is wrong. The first thing I thought is I forgot the password and the combination of numbers again. Yes, I am that absent minded. However, I tried every combination I could think of and none of them worked, but I get so over focused that I was still thinking about it being the password. I sent a ticket to get my password because on top of everything else, I didn't change the email on the account to my new one. (of course being that the account was actually hacked, it wouldn't have mattered, but I obviously didn't realize that when I sent the ticket). Finally, it occurred to me to look at my profile from my main account. Not only was my profile changed, but I checked my gallery and all my items are gone. Of course I knew finally that what was going on is my account was hacked. I tried to go back to my ticket to add that it wasn't about my password, it was about my account being hacked, but I couldn't sign in to the help section, so I sent an email, but I didn't realize that emails count as tickets and go to the same area. When I was able to get to the ticket section again the email was closed and marked as a duplicate, but the original ticket I sent was still listed as open. I added information on that ticket to explain about the email and apologize and to confirm that it was not about the password, but about my account being hacked. Now it has been several days, I have been checking the ticket and my profile everyday and not only is the account still up with someone else having access to it, but the ticket is still listed as open. It feels like TNT is upset with me because I sent a duplicate ticket. Why did they close that, but not respond to my other ticket? I'm sure they have a lot of people to get to, but it used to be that they would have frozen the account right away. Yeah, I would have to get the account back and who knows how long that would be, but at least no one else would have access to the account. I would be upset about this regardless, but the worst thing is my Maraquan shoyru is on that account. I had her sent there because my main account is not 4 months old yet. Of course I care about my other pets, but she is my dream pet and I promised I would take care of her and now I have let down the person who gave her to me. Every time I go to that account I am afraid Lillinah will be gone. I know I made a mistake in not doing everything I could to protect the account, but I still think I should be able to get it back. I feel like I'm being punished for not handling things the right way. In regards to hackers, I don't know how people do that, but it is scary and also messed up that people do that and I really don't understand why anyone would want to take something that someone else worked for. Please excuse the long post.
Kute
I'd say just continue to wait. TNT isnt always the quickest, theres only so many of them against all of us :). I can pretty much guarantee TNT isnt upset with you. It's never personal. Hope you get your account back though. Sorry about that.
charelan
I am so sorry to hear about this! I had an account hacked many years ago and it led to me not playing for at least 5 years. You're right - I don't know why someone would want to do it and it sucks. I agree that it's likely not personal, but I'm also surprised it isn't frozen yet. I know my response doesn't help at all, but do keep us posted!! I hope it turns out ok despite having lost your gallery items :(
Nielo
Perhaps you could try to send them a message on Facebook? I've heard that they're sometimes quicker to reply to people there. I hope you'll get your account back!
rntracy1
Did you have premium? If so, list that on your ticket. They tend to respond quicker to premium members. They will respond, it just takes a while. There are certain things people look for when hacking accounts and trust me, changing your pin probably wouldn't have helped, unless it was very easy to crack. I am very sorry this happened to you. Good luck, and like Charelan said, please keep us posted.
enitul
I'm sorry to hear that. :( I am also VERY caring about my pets. I see them as a part of my (virtual) familly... Dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing though. ^^' But be sure to NEVER lose hope on the TNT response. It doesn't have to be a lot, just a little spark might do the trick. :) Anyways: I wish you all the luck of the universe on your quest to getting your account/pets back... And I hope that hacker will pay. Big time. *hugs*
jingfah
Wow that's awful. I know that I recently made a ticket about not remembering a birthday on an account (I was 10 and ridiculous and didn't want to fill out any more internet permission forms) and it's been over a month with no response. Hopefully they'll get back to you a lot more quickly! Also, I have to agree with the others. I doubt they're upset over you making a duplicate ticket. It's far more likely that the staff who check for duplicate tickets are different from the ones who actually handle/resolve the tickets. I'm sure they'll address the problem as quickly as they can. Duskitty
Oh, that's awful :( TNT is notorious for taking a while to respond to tickets, unfortunately. Rico S. is one of the staffers who tends to respond to tickets quickly and rather kindly (he unfroze my account within about 4 days of it getting hacked and frozen), so, fingers crossed that you get him to answer the ticket. ^_^

Please excuse the long post. If you dont mind me asking, what is the username of the account? Also in the past few months, hackers have been taking advantages of database access and going into accounts that havent changed their word in a while. I got my account hacked too around 2 1/2 months ago, so I just made a ticket and sat on a new one. I guess only time will tell when I'll get it back, however TNT has been returning many of the hacked accounts recently.
life_eclectic
Thank you everyone for the messages and support. I know TNT isn't actually upset with me, I just get worked up and get ideas in my head that I know aren't true, obviously I'm a bit of a worrier :worried: Yeah, hopefully they will respond soon. All my pets are still there, so hopefully whoever hacked into my account just wanted my items and isn't planning to do anything else. Wow that's awful.
