Naamah D. Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Does anyone think that due to this lag that people are experiencing Jumpstart will shut down Neopets permanently? I'm starting to worry. Quote
Delshnya Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I don't think that they would put work on the issues if they were thinking on shutting down Neopets. Quote
Shelley Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Me being the anxious person that I am that has crossed my mind lol. But that would be an extremely bad business to decision for them, they wouldn't Quote
Marae19 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Honestly, I hadn't even thought about it, and now that I have, I seriously doubt it. I'm betting they make a whole lot of money through neopets, and they also payed a lot to nickelodeon to buy neopets. Seeing as they then woudl only would lose a whole lot of money, if they shut it down, I don't think they will. And also what delshnya said, they wouldn't be working on it so much right now to just shut it down soon. Bodhi 1 Quote
Angeló Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 that is out of the question .. you don't sink a multi million dollar deal over server issues .. theyre fixing them one by one :) .Brianna. and Bodhi 2 Quote
.Brianna. Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Basically what Angelo said :) I think the bottom line is a lot of little problems that no one anticipated boiled over with the server migration and now there's just a lot of mess left behind to clean up Quote
siniri Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Not yet. But as more and more people flee the site, it might reach the tipping point and become unprofitable. There are many avenues left to try to bring those people back, but it's all about whether they're currently making money from the site (or think they can again with a reasonable investment). Quote

I think bring Key Quest back would help to keep people in Neopets. Quote
Cootie Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 The lag already seems to be much better (on my end at least) so whatever they're doing seems to be working for the time being!I wouldn't think they would shut it down, but I also think that they know that the site's slowness will run some people off, at least temporarily.
