Spritzie
With the upcoming downtime on Neopets for the transition to JumpStart, we've decided to temporarily suspend the ALP's item lending. In case something unexpected happens with the switch to JumpStart, we want to avoid any possible issues that might come with the downtime. Any item lend requests that have already been submitted, or are submitted before Neopets is back up, will be kept and we will resume lending after the transition has been completed. If you currently have a lend in progress through the ALP, please try to complete it as soon as you can so the items can be returned before the downtime, if possible. Note: The ALP's pet lending chains will continue as normal through the transition process. Anime
Any applications sent to the Pet side of the ALP will be processed as normal for as long as the site is up, since most of the apps are for next month. So it is currently possible, yes, provided you apply and are accepted. :) If we're lucky (*knocks on wood*) they won't start the transition till next week, and the chains will be over by this weekend. And even then, so long as a pet is not in transfer I'm not worried- we'll simply pick up where we left off if that happens. Pets that are fully on an account are highly unlikely to go anywhere. Items floating through auctions.... less secure. Clumsy rockyroad1, Spritzie, Mouseykins and 2 others
Rune Valentine
Just a little update since I see a lot of requests coming in: Since Neopets is still very glitchy at the moment, we're still not going through with any of the lends. The Trading Post is operational although there's always a chance of something going wrong, so we aren't willing to take any risks with the items. The Auction House is currently still not working, so higher-value items can not be lent out. We promise we'll get on top of the lends once all the issues on the site have been sorted. This is just to let everyone know that we're not ignoring your requests, we'd just rather the site not be so broken and risk any of the items we're lending out. Neopets9738368
^^Same here, ALP is awesome. Any updates on item lending? I saw in a different post that pet lending will possibly commence Nov. 1st. Should we put requests in now for items, or just wait until you guys give us the green light? Ali Cat
Requests have always been open, so as long as you haven't already requested an item, feel free to request one now to get your name in the queue :) We're tentatively starting to lend some of the low-end/cheap items. Right now we have to go through and double-check that the people who submitted requests a month ago still want to be lent. As for the expensive items (Icy Snowflake and up), we're hesitant to lend those out yet since there are still glitches around the site and a loss of an expensive item affects us more.
