leverhelven
OMG guys... I was talking to a neofriend via neomail and, without thinking, wrote about The Daily Neopets Forums, that it was very nice, and asked her if she was a member. THEN I remembered this can be interpreted as me trying to contact her outside of the site and that this is forbidden. What are my chances of getting frozen by that?! I'm SO scared!!! :sad01_anim: :sad01_anim:
Xepha
You might get a warning or be silenced for saying that if it's the first time... or maybe it won't even trigger anything (but think better next time to avoid troubles.)
mynn
http://www.neopets.com/fansites/ Note: Recommended fan sites may be linked to from the Neoboards, User Lookups, Neomail, etc. Certified fan sites can be discussed by name, but any links to them will be blocked except on this page. TDN is a "recommended fan site". I think you're fine.
leverhelven
Yep, my account is 11 years old and I never ever got any notification about anything wrong... So I guess freezing is not that bound to happen? Gee, that's a relief. I'll pay more attention next time!
nbbug132
http://www.neopets.com/fansites/ TDN is a "recommended fan site". I think you're fine. However, the TDN forums are not a recommended fan site. They are separate from the main TDN site and should not be mentioned on Neopets. leverhelven
I see lots of wrong stuff going on on the Neopets Forums and people who are never warned by it. But I wonder if they are tougher (or maybe weaker?) with Neomail? Gee... How does silencing work? It's not always perma-silence, is it?
Duma
No, for what I heard its a day or so for the first time (and minor mistakes/rule breaking) and gets longer the more serious or often it happens. I don't know how tough they are with neomail/neoboards. I really hope you won't get in trouble. Just make sure you're careful next time. An aged account is a precious thing! AJ11
someone once tried to get me to use messenger with them while we were playing key quest, she was not being bad or anything, its just that we wanted to be able to chat during the game apart from trying to use neomail which was a bit slow etc Anyway she asked me in a roudabout way and I politely declined as I dont use messanger anyway it must have been automatically picked up by TNT andshe got a warning and was unable to use her neomail for a week - thats all she got so no big deal - she just used her side account to neomail for that week. I think you will be fine :) However, the TDN forums are not a recommended fan site. They are separate from the main TDN site and should not be mentioned on Neopets. WOW I actually did not know that and Im now wondering if I have mentioned the site to someone in the past myself ? hmm nope I think I told her in person .. phew! worth knowing though thanks This post has been edited by a member of staff (Vyvren) because of a violation of the forum rules. xkittyxxx
People do refer to other websites a lot on neo, especially search engines etc, so I should think you will be fine :) Sounds like it is also an automatic thing, so if you haven't had a warning, you probably got away with it ;)
