Meeptroid Posted March 21, 2007 Share Posted March 21, 2007 Jake dragged his feet across the sand as he held the orange egg close to his chest. Warmth came from the egg as it gave a slight shake. The creature inside this egg must be ready to hatch soon. Was it actually a dragon egg like that girl named Sapphire mentioned when she found an egg? Or is it some normal egg from a reptile or bird? Jake's thinking was interrupted when a piece of the egg cracked off and fell among the sand at his feet. His eyes grew large and wide as he watched more and more pieces break apart from the egg. Finally, a small orange head peeked it's way through the egg's opening. A yawn emerged from the newly hatched creature as it crawled it's way out of what was left of the egg. I can't believe it. No Answer so he knocked again still no answer.Roco knew she was home becuse they had planed to go to the arcade today at this time.So he burst open the door just in time to see noth accually there was nothing at all. He went into the kitchen "Boy this is a mess" he thought. He saw a note on the fridge it was from Beth it read "Roco Meet you at the museum i want you to meet someone." She pointed to Crescent. "Yeah, Moon, he's the same as you, except a different color." Beth thought for a moment, trying to enlighten the situation. "Are you hungry by any chance? I bet we could find some fruit around here." Moon swung her tail around and slapped Beth's forehead while she was stumped down. Beth recoiled and stepped back. "Moon! Why'd you do that?!" "I guess i was just hearing things I mean there is no such thing as a dragon " he wispered to himself. He left Beth's house running as fast as he could towards the Museum. Beth stood up and chuckled. "I'm sure you were imagining this. Here," Beth picked up an orange, "eat this. You're probably hungry. I'm going back to the main room." Her wingspan grew a few inches after finishing the fruit, so she decided to test her wings. The dragon climbed atop the counter and jumped off, her wings stretched out. Moon immediately crashed into the wall. Obviously, there was no room in there, so she quickly ran through the hallways and out the main door. This time, Moon scaled a tree. She jumped off and flapped her wings. The ground hadn't come into contact with her. Moon was flying! Beth looked outside to see the happy dragon floating about, and Roco closing in on the museum. "I can't believe this happened. Nonetheless, I'm overjoyed!" The dragon crawled from Jake's arm to his shoulder and nipped at his ear. Brushing the dragon away from his ear, Jake dug around in his right pocket and pulled out a small bag of sunflower seeds that were already cracked out of their shells. "Here you go, little guy." Jake said as he motioned a small handful of sunflower seeds towards the dragon's head. The dragon curiously sniffed the seeds and quickly devoured them. "You know, it'd be best if you had a name." Jake felt the warm sun beating against his back. Quickly, Jake squinted at the sun and then looked back at the dragon. "Solar. Your name shall be Solar." Come inside the musuem, there's someone I want you to meet. Moon, take our little red friend along." Moon obeyed and accompanied the newly hatched dragon. Beth took Roco inside and introduced him to Hurald. "Roco, I'd like to introduce you to Professor Hurald, specialist on dragons." She then turned to Roco. "He'll explain this stuff to you."
