Sushi for lunch and pho for dinner :)

My tummy is verreh verreh happy.

I has no sushi :sad02: But I do have fries! If fries could cover all the food groups I would eat them (and sushi) forever!

I'm about to make eggs over easy, wheat toast, turkey sausage links, and delicious oven baked home-fry style potatos covered in olive oil and herbs. :)

Hot chocolate.

...I realize that's not actually food. But it's about all my crampy tummy can handle.

My stomach has been really bad lately too. In fact, I've lost 5 pounds in two weeks because of it. I think it's the new meds, but for the past two days I've barely eaten a thing except for some fruits and juices.

I'm eating some kettle cooked jalapeno flavored chips and they are absolutley delcious! :) Now that I'm trying to eat healthier I limit myself to one small bag of chips a week, so I savor every little crumb. :laughingsmiley: (chips are my weakness) Not cookies, cake, ice cream, chocolate, or anything sweet. I seem to lack a sweet tooth but I love anything salty. Wonder why that is.

The last thing I ate was a delicious chicken salad. I went all out this time. My boyfriend and I are incorporating some new, healthier lifestyle changes. It's harder for him to accept than it is for me, so I'm trying to keep him interested. :P

I used some boneless skinless chicken and marinated it for two hours in a mixture of seasonings (garlic powder, chili powder, oregano, paprika, salt, pepper) olive oil and lemon juice. Then I fired up the grille and cooked them up, then chopped them into strips. Talk about yummy!

As for the salad, I used romaine lettuce, shredded carrots, avocados, no-fat croutons for added crunch, a little bit of reduced fat cheese, hard boiled egg whites, tomatos, red onions, green pepper. So lots of veggies and tons of flavor! My boyfriend doesn't like any other dressing on his salad aside from ranch, so I opted for the fat-free hidden valley ranch. Only 35 calories and no fat and you still get that delicious goodness you'd expect from ranch dressing. :) Oh and if anyones interested, apparently when you use avocados in salad you are better able to absorb the nutrients from the avocados that way.
