Quark Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Oooo, your street is pretty. :) Can you tell that I really just like looking at what other people can see out their window? Quote
Spritzie Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Wow. That's pretty Jesse. I don't know how, but I'm slightly jealous I don't have snow at the moment. I normally hate it. But we don't get decent amounts or nice clean snowfall like we got here when I was younger. Now it's enough to be annoying and dangerous. Quote
soup Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 We have a little bit of snow where I'm at, and we're supposed to be getting 2-4 inches tonight. Quote
Sofa Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I think we're due more snow tonight where I am. The forcast said it might snow all through the night! Waking up to a Winter Wonderland is quite nice so long as you don't have anywhere to go! :) Quote
rugrat0ne Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 I think we're due more snow tonight where I am. The forcast said it might snow all through the night! Waking up to a Winter Wonderland is quite nice so long as you don't have anywhere to go! :) Isn't that the truth. I always have trouble remembering that there's a difference between looking out the window at pretty, pretty snow, and trying to drive through/get around in the aforementioned pretty snow. Not so pretty then! Quote
selusa Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 We've had heaps of snow since November, but the past couple of days have been above 0C, so it's all slushy and drippy like spring. It's nice now, but it's going to be awful when it freezes again and makes the roads a virtual ice rink. Oh Canada. Quote
Sofa Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 You could all just ice-skate everywhere, it might be fun. Possibly with jet packs attached to make you go faster! Quote
Meeptroid Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Snow tends to keep missing us for whatever reason despite it being in the forecast. We had some a week or so ago, but it melted within a few days. I'm hoping for this Sunday to bring some snow though. Quote
Masaryk Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 It hasn't snowed in two weeks. :( I want more snow! The foot or so of snow we have is not enough. Quote
Sofa Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 We still have some snow left, but not as much as I'd like. Everything looks so much prettier in snow! Quote
Manta Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I'm sad. :( When I was at school, there was no snow there, but there was snow at home. Now I'm home, and there's no snow here either. I want snow!! *stomps around* Those pics you guys posted made me happy though :D Especially the British street one, it looked so pretty!! :O Quote
rugrat0ne Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I was hoping it would snow tonight. I've got a little snow up here where I live, but down at my parents' house it's all melted. I'm going there for Christmas, and it'd be nice to have a white one and not a brown. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 We finally got some decent snow here in New York. I think it's about an inch or two. Okay... lots of snow here. I've put the pictures under a spoiler so they don't take up too much room. This is at my family's property in the mountains. (It's near the ski towns, like Breckenridge.) This is at a cabin my dad stayed at in Fairbanks, Alaska. My dad's rental car in Fairbanks, Alaska. (He had cleared it off completely, only a couple hours earlier.) Outside some apartments in Denver, CO after a blizzard a couple years ago. Fairbanks, Alaska My dad's rental car a different year in Fairbanks, Alaska I would kill to be there. Quote
rugrat0ne Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 We're supposed to get a blizzard tonight and tomorrow. Should be interesting. I hope I have all my emergency stuff ready. Quote
Sofa Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 According to the weather forcast the other day it was supposed to be snowing pretty much all day where I live...haven't seen a single snowflake, lol. Humho. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Turns out that small snowfall has gotten much heavier, and it could be a blizzard. Quote
rugrat0ne Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 It's snowing pretty hard, but not sure if it's windy enough for blizzard conditions yet. Sounds like there might be heavier snow on the way, though. Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 The blizzard is in full effect. I went outside and it was crazy. Quote
rugrat0ne Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 There is a lot of snow on my deck. *Starts to sing "Let it Snow"* Of course, I won't feel so great about it when it's time to shovel it all. Quote
Manta Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Didn't snow all that much here, but it's been ridiculously windy all day. Blizzard warning goes till tomorrow night as well. I'm hoping for more snow, personally :P Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 I'm buried. This is the most snow I've seen in 6 years. Quote
Luciana Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Where were you earlier this year, CAV? There were two blizzards. '_' I am not very thrilled about this snow. I have to go out tomorrow. Great timing, urgh dammit. :\ Quote
CAV of Gang Green Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Where were you earlier this year, CAV? There were two blizzards. '_' Not in New York. We only had one instance of sleet before this. I like to seperate early 2010 from late 2010. Don't ask why. If you are talking about in early January, I don't really qualify that as blizzards, especially when compared to this. It was normal snowfall. Quote
Tedhaun Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Snow, you say? Yesterday, I just received a massive blizzard outside my front lawn! About a foot and maybe a bit more of snow outside where I am. Quote
Spritzie Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 I find it ironic that so many people have snow right now. I like in the mountains, and there's no snow. There's frost in the morning, then 50-60 degrees during the day. Quote
