4 hatchlings or 4 eggs.

 

From what I've seen, I think you can have 4 eggs and 3 hatchlings, and vice versa,

as long as neither of your eggs / hatchlings go over the limit of 4.

 

EDIT: I grabbed another Bluna but I'm locked now. ;-;

You can have a maximum of 4 hatchlings and 5 eggs at once (and maybe vice versa too) :yes:

 

Once you have 4 hatchlings/eggs, you're locked as in you can't pick anything up from the cave or the AP, but you can still breed eggs until you have 5.

I just realized that all gender-special dragons (Classic Pink, Purple, Valentine's, Christmas 09, etc.) have been females. Or have I not been around for an all-male dragon breed?

No, both Christmas 07 and 08 have been all-male upon their release, and when Dinos had genders they were all male. Chickens are also all female.

Also, what is with my magi hatchling? It has over 3k views but it won't grow up. o_O

As a general rule, hatchlings (and eggs) are able to grow up (or hatch) when their timer dips into the "3 day, x hour" area. Give it a few more hours, it should be grown before the morning.

The Seasons dragon won't swap to Spring untill the first offical day of spring. So, mid-March.

EDIT: How come I never see cracked/nearly hatched eggs in the AP?

The AP always shows eggs as uncracked and hatchlings without wings. Once you pick them up, though, you notice how they really are. I'm not sure why it does that.

I'm pretty sure the AP has a deafult iamge for each egg and hatchling. You'll notice that the same kind of egg all load at the same time. THis reduces loading time and keeps individual eggs from sitting there and getting sick from the hundreds of people refreshing. But since it's a deafult image, wings and cracks aren't accounted for. Otherwise you'd end up with 6 times the images.

I clicked one and got a screen that said

"You are already at the limit for

this breed of dragon." Or something like that. ;-;

Yeah, two per person. Any tohers picked up after that are auto-abandoned. The only exception is bred dragons. There's two reasons they're not- for one, it's disrupt the breeding system code, and that could only turn into a mess, espically if the clutch has holidays and common dragons. And two, Hollies. Hollies are so rare that even TJ09 thinks it best that the owners of their offspring are handpicked to ensure the species grows. And if they autoabandoned, that couldn't happen. So all holidays get a little boost from that- the breeders have an hour to get them to a new, chosen owner (one who will hopefully take care of them and be around next year to breed them).
