I agree! .. that game was terrible. Definitly not what I expected/nor wanted it to be... --> as for radically changing the game away from the gym leaders... they've done that already, we have mystery dungeon and ranger... Quote

I actually enjoy "being" a pokemon on mystery dungeon lolz :D I heard they were making 3 new ones with the pokemon ranch graphics and I think I might like it! Too bad I thought it was gonna be for DS...so I might not get to play it often ^^; At least I can finally be eevee =D Quote

The Galactic Grunts are kinda unintelligent. There's one in Veilstone that tells you info and then says, "Huh? That's not what this is about?". And don't get me started on their pokemon. Quote

I'd do it the other way around if I were you unless you have a Haunter or something that knows Mean Look or a move like that. I caught Lugia with a Pokeball and I'm still unable to catch Entei... I already used my masterball. It doesn't help that I lost my Silver, but that's a minor detail... Quote
flyingeevee Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 For Platinum, I'm saving my Masterball for the Arceus event when it's released =D For the old G/S, I used it on one of the legendary dogs and caught the two like normal. Sometimes Mean Look won't work when they use Roar, so I just got a Weepinbell around lvl 40 and taught it Sleep Powder to weaken them and then chase after them and put them to sleep again and get a haunter to use mean look while it's sleeping so that it wouldn't hopefully use roar. For Latios/Latias and all the other run aways on the newer games, mean look works like a charm ^^ Quote

Since they couldn't heal, get them down around 1 hp and it wouldn't be too hard after that to catch them. I could never get a Pokemon to use Sleep Powder fast enough; Mean Look was the only one that really worked for me. I must have just been lucky. Quote

I dont want to use it prematurely... then there are those pokemon that are SO hard to catch ... (blanking on their names right now -there are 3 of them, they reside in caves). So maybe one of them... Imagine a gyrados flailing after you hehe! Or a cute Latias flying behind! @_@ Try going to the gts and trade a pokemon a day. Sooner or later, you'll forget what's it like not to win something daily haha. And you'll probably end up with a ton of masterballs too ^^;;. Quote
