Hehe. On the neoboards SK and RI formed an alliance called RISK. Hopefully we can continue it on TDN.

The movie was an attempt to transition Doctor Who and keep it alive. It failed, obviously, but it is canon and I don't think it negates the Eighth Doctor. There is the weird issue of the movie saying he's "half human on his mother's side", but I think most Whovians tend to ignore that bit after the jumble the writers made of that later on.

The thing that bothers me is the weird Peter Cushing "Dr. Who" stuff. It makes absolutely no sense and is pretty much an embarrassment. He's not a numbered doctor, he's human, and all of it was just lame to me.

I picked Runes of the Obelisk even though it doesn't really suit my pet - it was too cool to pass up!

It took me this long to realize, "Hey, you know, that Scores Galore is a nice distraction until the War starts up again!"
 
Anyone else notice that the SG wraps just about the time the truce ends? (I know SG few times a year is normal, but I think that's an interesting "coincidence".)

I only got about 35k, but that's still way more points than I thought I'd get. I thought I'd be down in keychain levels of sadness. (I could get 43 keychains if I want, but no one ever buys them!) Still, two Tyrannian paintbrushes, two books (one of which I've had Estrata read already) and some random foods are pretty decent. I wish I'd had enough points for a Shadow brush, as that's my favorite, but...ah...meerca poo happens. :> (Maybe I'll be lucky enough that one of you has so many points that they don't know what to do with them will give me a Shadow, but I think I'm dreaming!)
 
Given that the ticker has a little more than six days on it, I'm guessing we're definitely back in action next week. Maybe it's the puzzle portion of the event that everyone has been hoping for! (Please...NO MORE BATTLING! *faints*)

What's this about a truce ending? Could there be much more to this plot? I'll be really happy if there is, because that was a really short war!

I feel like with the new theme 'SOON' update it's all right to feel a little optimistic about an update on the war, at least. I think it's strange that the there would be a giant war over a mysterious object but no plotline to follow...

I'm going to sit back and be very sceptical that it's going to reveal the prize shop, haha. Way I see it is, if I don't get my hopes up, I won't be disappointed.

I had an account some time ago where my level was past forty-five (maybe) and I don't know how much my HP were, but it wasn't too difficult to beat the 1p BD opponents of the era. But that account was frozen (as I'm sure some of you have seen me mention before).
 
I trained Estrata up a bit for this, but not nearly enough. Maybe if I'd been aware a war was coming down the pipes when they closed down the original BD, I might not have thrown out my equipment and started training a whole lot sooner. (I have no idea why I threw all of it out. Maybe I thought they'd take a whole heck of a lot longer to start the new dome?)
 
Anyway, I wish there'd be a few quests or something, so I don't have to say, "Oh, boo...I gave up after round two and now I'm going to get the worst trophy." I mean, the battles were getting boring (tedious, tedious, tedious), but I don't want to end my part in the war right yet, either.

Agreed. I'm already sad at the thought that I may not get to participate in the next wave (highly unlikely) although I'll try anyways. Time to break out my muffins. :P

Yup. I have reached the extent of my pet's strength. I'm gonna continue to train my battle pet, but like people have been saying, weapon inflation is too much. I wish this plot had increased difficulty a little slower...

My pet's HP is only 72 and I was able to beat the Brute Squad person on Easy.
 
But still, the difficulty increases are ridiculous. 8 to 35 to 80? O_o Hopefully I can get some wins in. Also, apparently losses/draws count as well.

It seemed to be ok to train at Tier 2 (level 5) as I happened match one of the requirements. I have a slow connection and was having trouble getting a fight started.
Now the whole battledome is down, if they don't get it working it certainly will make the upcoming war very complicated.
 
Ahem, scheduling a major resource and bandwidth drain at the same time you are trotting out a new platform,.,.,.,.,. Well, I might have jumped out of air planes for my MOS, but I wouldn't be crazy enough to try to do that.
