I got the Better Than You avi today!  Finally, the contest was for a game I'm actually good at.
I also used my 5th pet slot to get a Shoyru and got the Bless You, Shoyru avi. Shoyru - Tough should be on its way but I've never really used the BD.

Today I had the best day on Neo since I've been back - found a Grimtooth Stamp and traded for my squishy Plushie Buzz!! So happeh 

Yeah I'm in a similar boat. I try not to get upset about it too much xD I had 315 or so avatars, I'm not sure I'll ever get back to that amount but I'm going to give it a good old college try :) You don't have that many game avs left that I can get apart from Chia Bomber and Typing Terror, would love to try for those with you!

Hey! I'd be down to play games with you sometime. I know how it feels to rebuild -- one of my accounts was frozen a really long time ago and it felt awful. I had well over 200 avatars, including a bunch of retired ones, a lot of site trophies, and some cool pets. I never properly rebuilt after that. I made two accounts, got to 200ish avatars, and ended up quitting for good… until mid-July, lol. I came back a few months ago and I've been rebuilding ever since. I'd be happy to play a game with you sometime; if you ever feel like it, just send me a PM/NM to remind me and we can talk about it. :) Good luck!

@ErrI second what Scoobert_Doo said. It really cannot hurt to file a ticket, especially if it IS bugged. They may adjust for you :) BTW - Congrats on the win!

I believe it may be "glitched". It used to be the first three people would get the avatar, but now it only awards it to the first person. Not sure if that happened when Neopets was bought by JumpStart, from Viacom, in 2014, during the server transition, or if it was doing that even before then. Maybe submit a ticket and see what they say?

I didn't know it worked like that! You're right, I probably didn't get it in the first place haha. I was one of two winners so I must have assumed I got it, weird that I kind of remember seeing the RE  wishful thinking!
 

You only get the avatar if you are the first person on the list of winners, meaning you bought your ticket first.  You may have just not gotten the av.  Your newest avatars are at the bottom of the list.

First and foremost...DON'T GIVE UP!!!
I've been a regular CC submitter for a long while...while I have wins, I have way more losses!
They get TONS of entries...so many that I have NEVER been convinced that they all get read. As such, it just comes down to WHEN you entered your submission and what 'chunk' of submissions the judge(s) decides to read through.
When it comes to submitting captions, I try to mix it up. I've not yet come across any sort of 'best time' to enter (and I'm really bad about remembering WHEN I have entered any particular caption), but spreading your submissions out might help?
There are always going to be great captions missed (and, the other side of the coin, captions that 'we' may not find that funny will always make it in). Don't take it as personal offense, though, it is probably more about the timing than about the caption.
So, yah, I will close as I started...

The Faerie Festival seems to have plonked the soup faerie avatar right at the front of my consciousness, so I'm trying to work out a way to get it that won't kill my brain!
I got my hopes up (like the rest of us did I expect) thinking we might get it during the festival simply by feeding our pets, but nope, she still needed us to be Neopian poor.
Then @Err said they'd got it by putting their NP into trades so I rushed to do that, until brain caught up...wait a minute, there's a reason Err said trades, plural...I'd have to set up 16 separate trades to be able to do this (another 1st world problem, right? Oh woe is me, I have all this money and it's such a problem to deal with!!) I realised this wasn't a sensible option for me because the more I have to do, the more the chance of me messing stuff up BIG TIME increases, so let's not go there with all my NP!
So my thoughts turn to the auction house...
Can I do it that way? I have close to zero experience of the AH, I sold one thing, that's it, so utter novice here *gulps*
But could I start a Neofriends only auction with my side account, using a bit of junk, with a starting bid of the millions I'd need to hide, then once I'd bid on it leave the NP sat there? It would be in limbo then, wouldn't it, and no longer count towards my NP total? This seems like it would work, but is it even a legit thing to do?
 

I'm definitely not that great at games either but I do love a challenge! Anything for a trophy
