It would be interesting if being able to get the avatar really did need you to have less than 3k anywhere. So I could set up a trade with my side account?

Absolutely that's what I did :) also adopted a couple of pets from the pound to increase me chances

Can you still get the avvie doing that though? I fed my pets the other day without putting my NP in trades and no joy - I know it's supposed to be random but I thought the original rules would still apply there's just a higher probability? :S

I thought I would have to apply for chains for all the pet/petpet avatars like I did on my last main, but there's a great board on the AC for avatar pets in the pound if anyone with no transfers left :)

I'm definitely not that great at games either but I do love a challenge! Anything for a trophy 

Pretty underwhelmed with the festivities I must say, was expecting something a lot bigger - hopefully there's another event tagged on to the festival.
