Welcome to The Daily Neopets' Definitely-No-Longer-Daily Report on the Altador Cup! And yes, you may have noticed that we took a week's worth of hiatus. That was for reasons that I cannot disclose, but it involves snow, an Omelette, test papers and tons of Meepits.

While we have been away, Round 4 has come and gone and this segment will be just a recap of the most exciting moments of the last round, and the standouts and the sitdowns that showed up. In addition, we will be giving you a rundown of the three final brackets and all the teams in it!

Rise to FameAnd if we are going to talk about exceptional play, we need to talk about Faerieland. And wow - what a journey it has been for the team. For many years in the Cup, the Faeries were seen as a second-rated team, and to most commentators the Faeries really never had a chance to win. Well, Faerieland has proved them wrong. And they proved it with style. Again and again they had defied all expectations and won, if not outright crushed their opponents.

On the Way to GoldBut the shining moment for the Faeries came during the third day of Round 4, when they faced off against Tyrannia. Up to then, the Tyrannian Fossils were borderline unstoppable as they got win after win - their only real challenge was Krawk Island and even then the Pirates had to settle for a draw. The Faeries seemed like an easy sweep for the Fossils - but they turned it around big time. Out of absolutely nowhere, Faerieland seized the three support games - including SoSD, where they had been unbeaten to deliver Tyrannia's very first defeat. With the wind caught up in their sails and crowds of supporters cheering for them Faerieland, the dark horse of the tournament, may be set to give us the biggest upset in the history of the Cup!

Dance to VictoryAnother team that deserves a mention is Meridell, who had shown a second win and has taken most of the matches in the Alabriss Bracket of Round Four, which landed them the top spot - but they were denied entry by the aforementioned Faerieland by just 1 point. They really need to show great skill to get to the podium this year. And speaking of top bracket, the top 5 teams - Brightvale, Tyrannia, Mystery Island, Krawk Island and Kiko Lake - have remained mostly steady as of late, but once Round 5 starts, expect a free-for-all of epic magnitude.

SurpriseOne team that fell from grace though is Kreludor. The second place finisher from last year are now lounging in the bottom bracket after a multitude of defeats from all angles. Early favorites Maraqua aren't any better as they are now in the last place of the second bracket. Haunted Woods unfortunately are still not doing very well ranking at the bottom. They've had a fall from grace this year and hopefully next year will be better for them. Shakeups and surprises really are the theme of this year's cup.

This is a quick piece, and I'm sorry about that. Round 5 is about to begin and it's sure to be an exciting round! Until then, this is Miko signing off.

Ahem... Welcome to The Daily Neopets' No-Longer-Daily Report on the Altador Cup. I'm Miko. As you have probably noticed, there is a little drought of reports on the Altador Cup these few days. This is due to personal issues and the Staff Tests I'm buried under. But to make up for that, I'll be recapping on three days' worth of matches, so let's cut to the chase and go to Day 3 of Round 3!

Into the DustDuring Day 3, there were a few ups and downs, but the status quo for the Alabriss Bracket didn't change too much. Brightvale kicked things into high gear as they slaughtered Moltara in all four games with shocking margins. Lost Desert also kept up their tempo in their match against Terror Mountain, as they won 3 games to keep on pace with the leaders. But Kiko Lake wasn't able to slip past the strong defenses of Shenkuu as the Ninjas forced a tie.

Into the DustMinitheus Bracket started off with a sweep by Faerieland against Virtupets, who were once again introduced to the dustbin. Faerieland has been dealing performances that are more reminiscent of top level teams... Well, showed. Mystery Island continued to see wins as they knocked Meridell in all games except Shootout Showdown. Altador and Roo Island drew each other out in the final match of the bracket, leaving both teams steadily at the middle of the bracket.

In Vaeolus Bracket, Kreludor and Maraqua's recovery were steady but slow - leaving fans of the team with only ties against Darigan Citadel and Krawk Island respectively. And predictably, Tyrannia trounced the Zombies.

TakedownThe next day was more quiet, but that didn't stop surprises from showing their faces. But the tempo of the Alabriss Bracket went on as expected as Brightvale swept, Kiko Lake kept pace and the geological features drew each other out. No- The main action of the day happened at Minitheus Bracket where Meridell swatted away the Faeries in all games expect Slushie Slinger, bringing the Faeries' momentum to a crashing halt. And it wasn't the last trick that the Knights had up their sleeves. The other games went on quite as expected, with a sweep for the Altador Suns and a dominating win for the Mystery Island Natives.

Vaeolus Bracket didn't have any sweeps but there were quite some dominating wins. Darigan Citadel showed great potential in Yooyuball, but that did not extend to the other support games which allowed Krawk Island to clinch the win. Tyrannia was Tyrannia as they trampled past Maraqua. And Kreludor finally got something done - albeit that something was Haunted Woods.

And the final day of Round 3 gave us many many sweeps. Shenkuu and Brightvale trampled past Moltara and Lost Desert respectively; and Terror Mountain melted in the face of Kiko Lake.

Dance to VictoryMinitheus Bracket was once again throwing out surprises as Roo Island danced around Virtupets to win all the support games to take the win. Meridell continued their power charge as they overtook Altador. And though Faerieland's sudden top-tier play managed to bring Mystery Island's win streak to a halt, the Knights' last-second wins forced Faerieland to settle for third. Vaeolus Bracket ended predictably with triple sweeps - Maraqua dried up in the face of the Citadels' minions; Krawk Island swabbed Kreludor off their decks; and the less we talk about the Zombies, the better for them. They are already having a rough enough time this tournament.

Whew! That's three days' worth of games there. So sorry for the delay, dear viewers. But thankfully, my workload is finally letting up, so I'll be manning this wild ride once more as we go into Round 4. Until then, this is Miko signing off. Good Night Neopia!

  3. I've seen some people on the NeoBoards asking how many rounds are there. Well, though on the Standinfs Page it says 4 Rounds, the match schedule actually says that there are five rounds this year after the "Plague" that TNT found out about.

What does that mean you ask? Well, if your team is in the Top 6, it'll go into the top bracket, which awards the most points; Middle 6 teams go to the middle bracket, which awards less points, and bottom 6 goes to the bottom bracket.

This means that the best teams will face off against each other and there won't be a situation where a team like Krawk Island won't sweep a bracket filed with teams like Terror Mountain, Roo Island and Haunted Woods (no offence to those team) and get the most points, making the system fairer to the underdogs.

Tl;dr? Keep playing until the last minute and who knows? There might well be an upset. Game on guys!

Welcome to the Daily Neopets' Report on the Altador Cup, Round 3! Once again, I'm Miko live in the stands of the Yooyuball Stadium. Some fans are still here, but most have moved outside to celebrate a day where the leaders' momentum came to a much needed halt.

Knockdown to BrightvaleLet's start off with the Alabriss bracket where low-ranking team Lost Desert stunned sports fans and commentators alike as they managed a tie against first placed Brightvale. This came as a surprise for the Wizards as Lost Desert weren't actually in top shape leading up to the match. But a tie is a tie, and better luck next time. The other two matches were swept rather predictably as Shenkuu continued to show strength and Moltara continued to lose it - resulting in an all-out sweep in favor of Shenkuu. Terror Mountain started to slip as Kiko Lake took 3 games and only left Shootout Showdown for the Chillers.

Rise to FameIn the Minitheus Bracket Faerieland continued their rise to glory as they swept all four games from Roo Island. It's another win for these fan favorites and their powerful performance is putting them in arm's reach of the Cup. But Mystery Island is looking to prevent that as they took 3 games against the Altador Suns, with them managing to secure the goal to get Shootout Showdown. Both teams are new to the big leagues, but their hunger is strong. Meridell ended the bracket with a near-sweep of Virtupets.

Victory over Fossils at LastThe Vaeolus Bracket had two pairs of sweeps - Darigan Citadel winning Kreludor and Haunted Woods getting decimated by Maraqua. But the match that excited everyone is the last. Tyrannia finally hit a speed bump in their journey to be the winners as Krawk Island managed to draw them out by winning Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. This however may prove futile as Tyrannia continues to be a dominating force in the bracket. And going back for a while - Maraqua's wins have finally proven that it has climbed out of their funk and are now back in the running for the cup.

Well that's all for today! There were some great games today, and also some predictable ones. Let us all see what comes next. Until next time, this is Miko signing off. Good night Neopia!

Hello, and welcome to The Daily Neopets' Daily Report on the Altador Cup. Once again, I'm Miko. Well folks, round 3 has swung into action and there are bound to be some mix ups and shocks this round, if we can trust the opening games. This may well our be the year of the underdogs - but I'd better start on the results before I lose you guys.

Terror Mountain DefrostingThe new Alabriss Bracket started off with a bang as Brightvale and Kiko Lake clashed. The Kikos held strong in Yooyuball but they didn't shine enough in support games, which allowed Brightvale to secure their victory. Once more, Brightvale is on a roll. Lost Desert crushed Moltara into powder in the next match, even with Magma fans rallying cries. And rising stars of the cup Terror Mountain and Shenkuu outplayed each other to a halt. Expect to see more powerful plays from them.

Victorious CelebrationsMinitheus Bracket was thrown into a loop for a few minutes as fan favorite underdogs Faerieland struck Virtupets where it hurts. The Robots managed to create some breathing room by winning Yooyuball but with this win and the last 2 brackets, the Faeries may finally have a chance at the Cup. Mystery Island once again are dancing to the beat as they walloped Meridell in all games except Shootout Showdown. Roo Island seemed to have found a source of energy as they tied Altador in the final game of the match.

Exhausting RoundThis round has the Vaeolus Bracket as the bracket to be watching. It includes five powerhouse teams - and the Haunted Woods. Speaking of them, they still can't come out of their grave as Darigan Citadel sweeped more soil onto it. Maraqua and Krawk Island clashed, with no side coming up with a decisive victory. But just tying the Pirates could be a sign that the Mermaids are back for more. Unlike Kreludor, who got bashed into moondust by Tyrannia, who are starting to look like ACX's Kikos.

Wow! One day and already there are twists and turns in this path. So where will this path take us next? Well, you just have to wait to find out. This is Miko signing off. Good Night Neopia!

Welcome to TDN's Daily Report on the Altador Cup and finally we are at the end of Round 2! I'm Miko, live from the TDN Sports Center. It's been a wild ride of ups and downs this past week and finally it's over. But this is just the second stop of the park. We've got quite a few to go through today, so let's get it started!

Confused YooyusWe start off with some confusion, courtesy of the Alabriss Bracket. A scheduling mishap caused all the teams of the bracket to play against the same opponents as last time. Fans were left scratching their heads at this - and more than one report has surfaced of fans ending up in the wrong match site. We tried to contact the ACC for a comment but it's radio silence on their end.

Sweeping CelebrationsBut the teams took it with stride and played nevertheless. First in the bracket was Brightvale and Mystery Island, with the Wizards taking the broom to the Robots. With Krawk Island and Terror Mountain, Krawk Island swept them aside. And finally Mystery Island easily out performed Haunted Woods. So yes, the results were the same as last time's.

Maraqua on the MoveMoving onto a bracket that isn't in a Groundhog Day loop, the Shenkuu Ninjas ended the bracket in strength as they ran circles around the Moons and trashed them in all four games. Things aren't looking up for the Moons, and many are asking where has the former powerhouse gone to. Faerieland continued their path to a possible victory as they won all the support games and lost to Lost Desert by the slimmest of margins in Yooyuball. And it may be high noon - I mean high tide for Maraqua again as the Mermaids seemed to have shaken off most of the seaweed clogging them up to deliver a crushing victory over Altador, just missing out on a sweep by on goal scores in Yooyuball.

Meridell vs. RivalsThe Minitheus Bracket had some unexpected wins, but yet again Tyrannia bowls over another team - Kiko Lake - to mark their second straight round win-streak of the Cup. Arch-rivals Darigan Citadel and Meridell were up next and the Knights were deemed victorious by the scores - although Minions' fans were saying otherwise, judging by their win in Make Some Noise. Once again Moltara is in its worst shape in many years as they were handily defeated by the Roo Island Rooligans. They'd better stoke the flames again if they want to have a good finish this round.

And that's the end of Round 2 people! Tune in next time for some Round 3 action, for it may well be another bumpy ride. From everyone here, this is Miko of TDM signing off. Good Night Neopia!

Welcome to the The Daily Neopets' Daily Report on the Altador Cup! I'm Miko, reporting from TDN HQ. Once again, sorry for being late - I had to take another chapter of the Staff Entrance Exams, and it didn't help that the ACRC suddenly popped up halfway to ask me about my interviews and to check if I had the plague...

Abundant SweepsBut enough about me and my troubles, let's jump back to the Altador Cup! Today was a day of dominations and demolishment, so let's start off at the Alabriss Bracket, where sweeps were being served like slushies. Mystery Island tore apart Haunted Woods handily in the first match of the bracket, leaving the fate of the Zombies very grim. A second last-place round finish seems imminent for Haunted Woods and if they want to be anywhere near the Cup, they need to work overtime.

Victory for Krawk IslandBrightvale continued to stand strong as the Virtupets were once again smashed back to earth. They currently have a chokehold on the lead in the bracket, but Mystery Island and Krawk Island are looking eager to snatch it. And speaking of Krawk Island, the Pirates easily took out Terror Mountain in the last match. The Chillers' performance seems to be waxing and waning randomly, and as I said before consistency is more important in the Cup than once-over performances.

Altador ShiningAnd speaking of consistency, Kreludor of the Minitheus Bracket is another team that is not showing any of that. Despite being one of the best teams of Round 1, the Moons are having trouble staying in orbit. There was a glimmer of hope at yesterday's win (not sweep) against Faerieland, but that glimmer was snuffed out as the Altador Suns eclipsed them, leaving Kreludor on the dark side of hope once more. In the other matches, Faerieland picked up the pieces from yesterday's loss to outplay Shenkuu, winning all games except Make Some Noise, where the dark horse team had an advantage. And things are still looking bad for Maraqua as their fall from first to last continues, this time against Lost Desert.

Rooligans' on a RollIn the Vaeolus Bracket, Tyrannia were as predictable as ever, sweeping Meridell despite resistance from the Knights' side. Darigan Citadel continues to stay in form as they put Moltara's fire out. The Magmas' cooling seems to have no end unfortunately. And Kiko Lake are looking as strong as before, though their loss in Slushie Slinger gave Roo Island's Rooligans some hope. After all, this was the Nearly Unbeatable Team last year, so teams are happy to take a win, however small.

That's all for today, and tomorrow's the last day of Round 2 so stick with TDN for the reports on that. I might be late again, but who knows? Until then this is Miko signing off. Good night Neopia.

Hello and welcome to The Daily Neopets' Daily Report on The Altador Cup! I'm Miko live from the Slushie House! It is a relatively quiet day today, but still there were some surprises in store today, so let's jump straight to the brackets.

Faeries SoarIn the Alabriss Bracket, Brightvale continued their domination as they trampled Mystery Island underfoot. There goes the Natives' Yooyuball streak, but they are still hanging on the Top 5 of the cup. In another match, the "last placers" Terror Mountain and Haunted Woods clashed and the Chillers regained momentum as Haunted Woods continued to flounder against nearly all the teams. It was still smooth sailing for Krawk Island as they smashed Virtupets, but their continued loss streak in Yooyuball may have an effect on their final place within the bracket.

Kreludor RisingThe Minitheus Bracket had a bit of a shakeup as Kreludor suddenly rose from their ashes of their loss streak to almost hand a sweep to Faerieland - much to the happiness of the Moons' Fans. Faerieland was victorious in Shootout Showdown and happily kept the Moons from a complete sweep. The Altador Suns continued to blaze as they easily swept Lost Desert back into the dust. And Shenkuu continued their surprise sweeping as Maraqua floundered once more.

Moltara Held the LinesRounding off things in the Vaeolus Bracket and once again Tyrannia is becoming the new Kiko Lake as they bested them in all games except Slushie Slinger. There was balance, but not of the good kind as Meidell and Darigan Citadel drew each other out. Moltara continued to lose form and lose it badly as Roo Island easily swept them out of nearly all the games. With the exception of Moltara stealing a much needed win for their team in Yooyuball.

As I said, a bit of a slow day but still - Kreludor Rising. We may see more of them in the coming days. Until then, this is Miko signing off. Good Night Neopia.

Welcome to The Daily Neopets' Daily Report on the Altador Cup! I'm Miko, live at the Yooyuball Practice Field where the events are just wrapping up! Today was another interesting day in the world of Yooyuball so let's cut to the chase and head over to the Alabriss Bracket!

Haunted Woods on a ComebackThe Alabriss Bracket started off with Haunted Woods mimicking Terror Mountain from yesterday and taking a surprise win against Virtupets! But this performance may be a fluke as the Robots seem to be in a bad position as of late. But a win is a win for the Zombies! Terror Mountain meanwhile couldn't repeat their successes as Mystery Island swooped in to take the victory under their noses. Both teams are showing improvements, but those improvements need to come quicker for the Chillers. And in the final match the two leaders of the Alabriss Bracket fought each other to a standstill, with Brightvale clinching Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger, but Krawk Island taking Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Both teams are basically evenly matched and the battle for first place this round is going to be intense!

Shenkuu Rises to VictoryToday the Minitheus Bracket more or less followed a similar pattern to Alabriss Bracket. Maraqua was charbroiled by the high-flying Altador, sealing another win for the Suns and making them look like title contenders. Shenkuu pulled off quite the upset as they took every game but Shootout Showdown from Faerieland, a team ranked much higher than them. Can the Ninjas keep the momentum though is a question for another day. The highlight of the bracket is the stalemate between Lost Desert and Kreludor, which may signal a resurgence for powerhouse Kreludor.

Sweeps AboundLastly, the Vaeolus Bracket ended the day with what we all wanted - sweeps. Kiko Lake picked up the pace from yesterday and secured a win against the Darigan Minions - the champions are looking as strong as ever it seems! Moltara seemed to enter a cold period as Meridell took all four games from underneath them. And once again Tyrannia is looking unstoppable as they easily beat Roo Island to earn them another victory. But with Kiko Island in the same bracket, the Fossils' fortunes may be coming to an end.

Well that's it for me today. A rather quiet day, but still exciting nevertheless! This is Miko from The Daily Neopets signing off. I'll be off tonight trying some Yooyuball myself! Good Night Neopia.

The Committee has SpokenHello all and welcome to the Daily Neopets' Nearly Daily Report on the Altador Cup! And wow... Last week, I said that this cup is telling us to expect the unexpected. Well, that's just what happened yesterday. But as most of you have probably heard it's being echoed a million times, here's the quick version - there was an outbreak of a virus that causes players to have "Multiple Account Disorder" and "Magically Enhanced Physiology", and the ACRC (Altador Cup Rules Committee) is looking out for any behavioral changes.

Crazy right? But the Cup goes on, and so shall the show! Let's leave the drama yesterday and head over to today's games.

The Alabriss Bracket is now a smorgasbord of teams from all over the standings and as a result, some interesting match ups showed up today. Firstly, new title favorites Brightvale easily brought the brooms to Haunted Woods. This is another win under their growing belt, but the accusations are now flying that the Wizards are affected by the plague; I'll just say let the ACRC decide. But one thing needs no debate - the Zombies are in a terrible spot now and it'll take several miracles for them to crawl up the leaderboard.

Mmmm SlushiesBut the times may be a changing for Terror Mountain as they finally get a victory. Coming in as last place and with terrible performances in the first round, they seemed to be easy prey for Virtupets. But showing determination unlike anything they have shown before, they swamped the support games and though they finally lost in the main event. Chillers' fans are now finally able to taste victory! "About time." Captain Prytariel happily huffed.

And Krawk Island once again shows that their island is better as they won their match against Mystery Island; but once again Mystery Island has not yet dropped a single Yooyuball game. But you can't be sharp in one area and dull in the others in the Cup, so the Natives better step up their performance in the support games.

Team MerchandiseMinitheus Bracket was the more confusing bracket of the day, as title powerhouses Maraqua and Kreludor continued to slump, getting swept away by Faerieland and Lost Desert respectively. Some conspiracy theorists are theorizing that the slump is due to the plague described by the ACRC; and though while the rumors remain rumors, there has been an increase in ACRC presence in the wing of the Colosseum where both teams are housed. The shocking twists diverted attention caused the game between Altador and Shenkuu to be a rather quiet affair and a sweep in the Suns' favor rounds up this bracket.

Tyrannia DefenceThe day ended with Vaeolus Bracket and Tyrannia is once again bowling over its competitions as Moltara proved to be no challenge to the Fossils. Darigan Citadel seems to be in an upwards swing as the Minions easily bested the Rooligans in all games but Slushie Slinger. Champions Kiko Lake entered rough waters as Meridell held strong in the Yooyu events to force a draw, though that means they lost more than last year.

And that's all from me. Expect more surprises from the games tomorrow! This is Miko for TDN, signing off. Good night Neopia.

  11. People are saying bots, and I may have to agree with this. TNT already took care of Maraqua and Kreludor, so time will tell if Brightvale also gets the "quarantine".

This also has nothing to do with the fact that Krawk Island has to face off against Maraqua. Totally nothing to do with it.

Hello and welcome to The Daily Neopets' Daily Coverage on the Altador Cup. I'm Miko, reporting live from the TDN Sports Center. The first round of the Altador Cup has just ended and we have all the details on the games and the standings. We have a lot to get to today, so let's get started.

Natives Undefeated in YooyuballThe Alabriss Bracket started off with Darigan Citadel's victory over Virtupets, despite dropping the (Yooyu)Ball. The Minions were on point throughout the first round of these games and are quickly rising up to remedy their first day blunders. Lost Desert were also victorious over Shenkuu, giving them another win under the belt. The Ninjas unfortunately are not performing as well as many had anticipated and fans were left decimated. And once again, Tyrannia gave us another impressive performance as they won their match against Mystery Island, but the latter team deserves a hand for being the first team to take a game off the seemingly unstoppable Fossils and having a currently perfect Yooyuball win streak.

Faeries SoarKrawk Island swabbed the deck with Moltara in the first game of the Minitheus Bracket, quickly regaining momentum after their little meet up with Kiko Lake yesterday. The team was later seen celebrating with other teams at the slushie counter, and it looked like Hale was paying; an echo of what happened last year. And speaking of the Kikos, they kept their momentum as they triumphed over the Altador Suns, though their defense was weak enough for the Suns to take Shootout Showdown. But Haunted Woods lost all their momentum as they were swept off their feet by Faerieland in all four games. We tried to have a few words from the team, but one look at the players gave everyone cold feet. This is Faerieland's second streak of the season and they are off to a high flying start! It will be interesting to see of the Faerie's can keep up this momentum and finally break out of the shadows.

Terror Mountain WinThe Vaeolus Bracket was the bracket of surprises this Altador Cup and it did not disappoint us today. Terror Mountain were hoping - praying - for a victory against Roo Island, and at first it looked to be another sweep against them as they dropped the cups in Slushie Slinger and came quiet in Make Some Noise. But their Yooyuball skills were finally coming to light at last as they edged out the Rooligans in both Shootout Showdown and the main event Yooyuball, forcing a tie. It was not a win, but it was a much needed step in the right direction for the Chillers. The next match however had everyone wondering if they were dreaming. It was either a very good day for Brightvale or an extremely bad day for Kreludor as the Moons were demolished by margins that make the Snowager look tiny. I mean - 13 to 1?! I'm not even going to sugarcoat this - nobody saw this coming. Especially not the Moons. The Wizards has surprised us once more. And another surprise was just coming around the corner. The Merieill Knights swept the Maraqua Mermaids in all four games. The Mermaids who had been looking extremely strong through the first few days now seems to be stuck in a dead spot. Though many are betting on a podium finish from them, they need to keep their workload up.

And on that note, that is all for tonight. Join me again in a few days, when Round 2 kicks off! Until then, this is Miko from TDN signing off. Good night Neopia!

Hello and welcome to The Daily Neopets' Daily Report of the Altador Games. I'm Miko, now live at the Yooyuball Stadium. The shocks and sweeps continues today, so let's cut straight to the chase.

Tyrannia on a StreakThe Alabriss Bracket started, continued and ended with sweeps. The Tyrannian Fossils utterly crushed the Darigan Citadel Minions with a total shutout on all four games with mostly 3-point differences. The Fossils are currently the only team that hasn't dropped a game in the entire tournament, and they are ready to go the whole six yards to get a flawless victory this round. The Virtupets Robots easily out maneuvered the Shenkuu Ninjas to get the win; the fan favorite Ninjas seems to be unable to get their pace right. And in the last match, Mystery Island finally got back into the groove as they swept the Lost Desert Mummies. Unfortunately, the Natives are up against the Fossils in the last match of Round 1, so their winning rhythm may come to a halt. Unless we have an upset.

The Minitheus bracket had more ups and down though! Defending champs Kiko Lake swung back into the fight after Faerieland's surprise win against them. The Krawk Island Pirates, who until then had enjoyed a winning streak, were trampled under by the vengeful Kikos, just manage to seek out a win in Shootout Showdown. And speaking of Faerieland, the team was not able to get a repeat of yesterday's miracle as the Altador Suns burned them to a crisp.

Zombies WinToday's surprise came in the form of the rock-bottom Haunted Woods, who finally won a game. Unfortunately for them it may have been too little too late as the Zombies, barring a total steamroll of Faerieland, are guaranteed to be in last place in the bracket. The win did, however, reinstate life into Zombie fans who had been as dead as their namesakes before.

Vaeolus Bracket was more predictable though. Maraqua, after the surprise slump yesterday, were back in form as the Rooligans were swamped under in all four games. They still are the fan-favorites to take the cup, despite the unstoppable bulldozer called Tyrannia. Magic overcame might as the Brightvale Wizards rode the enthusiasm from yesterday's win to secure a victory over the Meridell Knights. This underdog team is still full of surprises and large wins are expected from them in the future.

On a RollOne team that is REALLY desperate for a large win though is Terror Mountain. After being crushed by Maraqua, they seemed to have been snowed under as they lost match after match. They finally edged out Kreludor to get their very first win in Slushie Slingers but the Chillers lost the match in the end and are now officially in last place after Haunted Woods' surprise win.

OmeletteAnd that's all the matches for today. See you tomorrow for the finals of Round 1 of the Altador Cup, where I will have the first week's standings and my thoughts on the teams. Until then, this has been Miko for The Daily Neopets. Good night Neopia! And if you'll excuse me, I have an omelette special to go to.
