^^^^^ This is exactly my plan. Definitely All Star for sure. Last year I made it to (unofficialy) rank 23. I would love to beat that this year, although I'll have to see if I have the time. I'm so excited for everything to start!!! 

I've spent a looooong time discussing ideas like this with my friends. imo, the best option would be to do something like what @MinaxUmbra said and put them in the HT for a really high price, something like 200-250m. They would still be a big challenge to get, but having them always available would mean that obnoxious players couldn't buy up a limited re-release and artificially inflate the price, like they often do with rare items.

This page here... http://www.neopets.com/~AbsoluteCorruption ... will help you with that once the tournament starts and it resets. You select your target and it will tell you how many games you have to play to reach that target.
 
 

This is how it's worked the last few years (it could be different this year, we'll see): You go to the 'staff tournament' tab on the colosseum page and select the staff members you want for your team. You have to confirm your team every Friday, even if you don't make any changes to your lineup. If you don't confirm by Friday, you will miss a round. Like Phill said though, it hasn't started yet and we don't know exactly when it will since the rules page isn't up /:

I was excited when I saw this at first, but then I looked at the items on JN and they're not just underwhelming, but actually really unappealing, imo. Won't be buying any of these. I hope the Legends of Altador event has better items. 

I tried using just the image link, but it goes in as text rather than changing to the image. And when I add the img tags back in, I'm back to the error message. 
I was able to have my avatar counter + DD counter together, so I don't see why I couldn't have my avatar counter + AC counter /:

Doesn't matter who or why you choose who you do, don't be swayed into choosing a side. It can be that you like the land, the players, the composition of a team, the colour scheme...anything at all.  Some of the YYB players have an actual fanbase, like Tandrak Shaye shown below. Some people pick a side and stay loyal from that point on, some people are 'floating voters', some people pick randomly.

Points are awarded for your participation, not the teams success.  The more you play, the more points you will have to spend in the prize shop at the close of the tournament.  There is a game play cap, but we won't know for sure what it is till TNT says so. It's a lot.  There are four games. YYball is the main game, it earns you the most points. I can't play that for toffee. There are three side games. Slushie Slinger, make some noise, and shootout showdown.  These are very repetitive but easy.

Don't submit low scores for Yooyuball's the only helpful thing I can think of. Like if you draw with the opposing team, or only score a few more than them - maybe 5-2, or 7-4 - don't submit because that impacts on the team's ranking, or something . . . Actually my M.O. on previous years was to just refresh the page and start again if the opposite team scored more than 2. This also happens as soon as a Darigan Yooyu puts in an appearance if it's not near the end of the game, because I've got ZERO chance of scoring with those devils. ?
I played a couple of games of YYB after signing up and . . . well . . . I enjoyed them. ? I scored decently, too: 8-2 and 10-0. Once I lose control of the ball I've still had it, but it seems I'm no worse than last year, so I feel pretty positive about this event now.

Heck yeah! He may look like a disgruntled librarian in the BD but have you ever annoyed a librarian? They can give you a pretty pointed look over the top of their glasses, I can tell you!
None of mine started off with any kind of planned personality, they've all developed over time. Well, I say none of them, but my draik started off as a pirate but soon developed a taste for pretty dresses, lol.

She still wears her ear ring as a nod to her pirate past but I don't see her doing any swashbuckling these days. Maybe her swashes have Velcro fastenings now.
I suspect that if I paid more attention to my scientist/inventor Xweetok that he'd start asserting himself too.

Ah the poor neglected lab rat, lol. Mine goes through periods of being customised. Right now they are.

I'm not zapping them at the moment. I'm (undoubtedly) wasting time in training their level to try and get past the "back to level 1" shenanigans. They're currently at 36, I'm not sure how far to take it.
After reading about yours, I'm going to be worried now if once I start zapping again my pet turns into a moehog. ?
 

You can absolutely have an account without a pet! I played on my current account for years before finally caving and making one 

I usually really love anything Eventide coloured, but... this looks more like Plushie to me. It looks cute and all, just not what I pictured an Eventide Yooyu to look like.
