This is what's happening on my campus. Gov. Abbot is arresting students for speaking out against the violence happening to Palestinnians. So much for freedom of speech. I am not being anti - semitic for pointing out what the Israeli Military is proudly posting , I do not believe that all Israelis are supporting these horrible brutal and careless acts of violence. Why is our governor keen on arresting students instead of putting our tax dollars into escrow so we can make sure we are not paying for weapons (US law forbids a country to use US aid to purchase weapons)?
If we're not allowed to post current news here on TDN, I apologize and will take the consequences. I am just letting others know what is going on in my life right now.

My parents came of age in the days of the Vietnam war and have taught me a lot about the anti-war protests and the government crackdowns in response. This has been done before, and it was sickening then and now. I seriously hope it doesn't get to the point it did at Kent State. Being anti-Israeli policy is not the same as being anti-Semitic. It is disturbing that there is anti-Semitism among the protesters, and I believe that that's wrong too. I'm sorry you have to witness this. Hang in there.

Thank you for your kind words . I tell you while I am at these protests-if I hear anyone around me say anything that is hate speech , I will tell them that they are wrong to say those things and are not being helpful to use hate speech to counter the injustice that is happening. It is wrong to blame an entire group for the violence and destruction that is happening. Even our own government is violating US laws by giving the Israeli Military weapons that are being used to break international laws. Doing my best. Thanks for understanding.
