Hi there! I know I'm not new to TDN, but a lot has changed since I last logged in here, including so many new faces, so I thought I'd come and reintroduce myself.

I'm Tara, and as you might have gathered by a mere glance over my profile stuff I'm a teensy bit of a Darkest Faerie fangirl. Eventually I will get a complete story written involving her, when writer's block decides not to be a problem halfway through my projects. Also... yes, I love writing. And Harry Potter is pretty much my life right now, if you start a conversation about it, be prepared for at least fifteen minutes of me nattering on. I'm actually heading to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour on my birthday for the second time, this time without any company from family so I can spend as long as I want taking in absolutely everything. And there is a lot more there than there was five years ago, so I'm super excited! Ahem, anyway...

Neopets has been a huge part of my childhood and I've decided to return to it after a long MIA session, including missing the Altador Cup - one of my favourite parts of the site! First year I failed to support Meridell in... a long time. I've been a member of Neopets itself since December 2006, back when I was still in primary school, and I still play the games I frequented on there now. Well... except Invasion of Meridell. I miss that game so much...

Anyway, I hope I can get to know you all, or for those that remember me, get to know you again! It's hard to believe that I was only 12 and a half when I joined TDN, and I'm here now approaching 23...

 I posted on the Avatar neobards about being loaned an FQD. I didn't ask for it outright. Just how much collateral would be needed. Someone loaned me the doll, no questions asked! That's the third time I've been given something without asking. Only for inquiring about it! I'm so shocked! Thank goodness she neomailed me, or I would've lost her username.
I am definitely not rich, but if I ever get the chance to loan or give someone what they're seeking, I will forward to the kindness! I've been in several fandoms before and had to leave because they proved to be toxic, so Neopets is really the nicest community I've been part of!

So I've been wondering if Turmy's renowned reluctant to eat anyone's petpet is down some pretty fundamental dietary preferences.
Here's me, trying - and perpetually failing - to get him to eat poor Nolly since 22nd November 2014. He's not interested, and can you blame him? Would YOU want to chow down on a chunk of cardboard?! I know I wouldn't!
So I'm trying with something a little more appetising!

Of course if Turmy's gluten-intolerant or allergic to eggs we may have a WHOLE different situation on our hands here, but one problem at a time, ya know? xD

I could have used one of those yucky Custard Arootas Expellibox dumps on us but yeah, yucky. I wanted Turmy to appreciate that I was willing to cough up for a decent tasty snack rather than be a tight-wad and use a freebie, especially a particularly unappetising-looking freebie! And who doesn't like cake? Even the most dedicated carnivore likes a bit of cake on occasion.

I think this is a great idea. I've been in the forums for almost 4 years and just now feel comfortable to ask about the APL.

As Tempestmancer mentioned, parts of Neopets still use Adobe Flash. Most smart phones and tablets no longer support Adobe Flash, so some dailies (like the "Wheels") may not be playable with most smart phone browsers. If you use a "Flash enabled" browser, like Puffin or Photon, you will be able to spin the Wheels, see the Map of Neopia, etc, and possibly be able to play some games, as least until the mobile version is released, as Duma, mentioned. If you do decide to give Puffin a try, make sure you "request desktop site" for Neopets.

I use Puffin Web browser.  It'll actually let you use flash.

I remember someone designed an app around 10 years ago. It wasn't a neopet app, but I used it to navigate the site.  It was kinda like TDN's dailies page. I don't know if it's even available any longer but I stopped playing on my phone years ago since I seem to need a magnifying glass to read anything these days lol.

Also as I side note, I want to reiterate the fact that you will be contacted in the first couple days of the month for your chain on THE FORUMS.  Please check your forums account, as there seems to recently be some confusion with several people not realizing this.  The only time you will be contacted via neomail is if you put down a forums account that doesn't exist ? 

ALP has a short announcement for everyone wishing to join pet chains. Starting in 2019 were are increasing the post count minimum required to participate in the chains. We feel that getting to 25 posts is far to easy and often members only require those 25 posts to participate in the chains due to a high avatar account. This means we do not get as much forums interaction and we'd like to know who we're lending to a little bit better. This isn't a drastic increase, so don't worry! We're only raising the minimum posts required to 50 posts. Everything else will remain the same. Our goal is to ensure our pets are being lent out safely.
We at the ALP apologize for any inconvenience this may pose to you, but feel this is in the best interests of our program.

I ALMOST put in to make my kougra spotted, but my poor little uni is just so sad looking as a blue guy.  All the others on the side account are nicely zapped or painted, and he's just. . . blue.

I've been trying to get grundoboy51691 back to a grundo for 14 years!! I wanted a sponge grundo back then so thought I could zap him and change his color. Ever since they came out with 8-bit, I've been obsessed with getting that new color. Although if I got a sponge grundo, I would keep him!

I'm amazed, and truly happy for the people of Neopia that the majority are liking the theme and it's brightening their days. ? When I saw the topics about it I immediately expected them to be a whole load of WAH-pantsing but nope, even the cursors being a little tricky to use isn't phasing people, the festive spirit is in full effect on Neopets today! ?

I try to do the Grumpy King within a minute of him coming back from a food break, if I can!

I am just convinced that I was unusually unlucky on neopets. I have been playing for years and have never won anything from fruit machine and have one gotten two color changes on a pet I have been zapping for 3 months...
