Yay I was finally able to make it to rank 15 and I'm probably about halfway to rank 16 right now. It's after 4am, so I should probably go get some sleep and get back at this in a few hours when my lil monsters wake up. Let's go Faerie's! :D

Rank 12 now. With Faerieland (probably) in the top bracket against some insanely talented teams, I'm going to be playing like a madwoman the next week, so ... maybe a new goal of 15? That looks like a lot of games. *Sigh* I'd really like to hit All-Star for the fun of it, but that's Soooooo much playing...

I'm also disappointed with DJ Skellington's final round, but I still finished with a very solid 21,469 points thanks to KikoCat and CountryQueen's stellar scores. Hoping there's something fun in the shop this year. Last year's prizes were kind of a dud.

We slipped in the bracket rankings, it's okay, we just need to keep strong. And the Knights are in an easier bracket because they were at 7th going into the final bracket. The new system sets the final brackets to be according to rank, so Top 6, Middle 6, Bottom 6. 

Welcome to The Daily Neopets' Definitely-No-Longer-Daily Report on the Altador Cup! And yes, you may have noticed that we took a week's worth of hiatus. That was for reasons that I cannot disclose, but it involves snow, an Omelette, test papers and tons of Meepits.

While we have been away, Round 4 has come and gone and this segment will be just a recap of the most exciting moments of the last round, and the standouts and the sitdowns that showed up. In addition, we will be giving you a rundown of the three final brackets and all the teams in it!

And if we are going to talk about exceptional play, we need to talk about Faerieland. And wow - what a journey it has been for the team. For many years in the Cup, the Faeries were seen as a second-rated team, and to most commentators the Faeries really never had a chance to win. Well, Faerieland has proved them wrong. And they proved it with style. Again and again they had defied all expectations and won, if not outright crushed their opponents.

But the shining moment for the Faeries came during the third day of Round 4, when they faced off against Tyrannia. Up to then, the Tyrannian Fossils were borderline unstoppable as they got win after win - their only real challenge was Krawk Island and even then the Pirates had to settle for a draw. The Faeries seemed like an easy sweep for the Fossils - but they turned it around big time. Out of absolutely nowhere, Faerieland seized the three support games - including SoSD, where they had been unbeaten to deliver Tyrannia's very first defeat. With the wind caught up in their sails and crowds of supporters cheering for them Faerieland, the dark horse of the tournament, may be set to give us the biggest upset in the history of the Cup!

Another team that deserves a mention is Meridell, who had shown a second win and has taken most of the matches in the Alabriss Bracket of Round Four, which landed them the top spot - but they were denied entry by the aforementioned Faerieland by just 1 point. They really need to show great skill to get to the podium this year. And speaking of top bracket, the top 5 teams - Brightvale, Tyrannia, Mystery Island, Krawk Island and Kiko Lake - have remained mostly steady as of late, but once Round 5 starts, expect a free-for-all of epic magnitude.

One team that fell from grace though is Kreludor. The second place finisher from last year are now lounging in the bottom bracket after a multitude of defeats from all angles. Early favorites Maraqua aren't any better as they are now in the last place of the second bracket. Haunted Woods unfortunately are still not doing very well ranking at the bottom. They've had a fall from grace this year and hopefully next year will be better for them. Shakeups and surprises really are the theme of this year's cup.

This is a quick piece, and I'm sorry about that. Round 5 is about to begin and it's sure to be an exciting round! Until then, this is Miko signing off.

I'm super excited for this next week! I hope I'll be able to do everything I need too! I've been maxing out SOSD and YB (Almost everyday) and I think I'll start maxing out MSN Starting tomorrow. My wrist can feel the strain already lol

Nice work Faeries! This top tier will be intense the next few days, so be sure to get lots of rest tonight! Tomorrow is going to be NUTS! Lots of rumours flying about how this last tier will work, but it seems like we might still even have a shot at a podium finish! Play your hearts out!

Way to go Songbird!!! I'll be adding about 26 games of SS, 401 of SOSD, 100 of MSN (Maybe more if I have time) and cap out YB!  Hope everyone else is doing good and making it to their goal! I'm at rank 6 and just started three days ago! Woot-woot!

WTG Faeries! Our redemption match against Shenkuu proved that we have what it takes to be a Top Tier Team! Looks like we're doing well against Kreludor... we've been sitting pretty at the top of our bracket all afternoon! Keep it up!!

Top bracket is so close I can taste it lol! I've played 10 YYB, 15 MSN and 176 SoSd today and I'm just getting warmed up! *Sniff sniff* Mmmmm, smells like dark horse ;-)

We swept Darigan Citadal you guys! That's amazing! First time against them and we beat every challenge! Good job guys! I'm so excited! Keep it up!!

You guys won against Tyrannia the Steamrollers! This could be the season of the "Miracle of the Faerie" if you continue the plays! Good luck with Daigran Citadel and maybe Brightvale if they decide to show their face!

Oh My Gosh! We took the side games from Tyrannia! Faerie's took games from one of the power houses this year! I cannot breathe this is amazing! *goes to quietly run around in circles*

So... I kind of lost my mind today and capped both YYB and SoSD. So I hit Rank 10 :-D

We swept Virtupets pretty easily but now we've got bigger gourds to fry... Meridell! This is our most important match yet, we NEED to have a good day, their scores have been consistently slightly higher than ours and they KNOW we're aiming for them! Play hard Faeries!

It's been a bit since I last posted in this thread. Managed to get to rank 8 tonight, and for the first time in ages I had enough time to reach the YYB cap of 46!. I only have 212 games in. My current points per game average stands at 11.99528301886792 ppg. I had a couple really bad games thanks to multiple darigan yooyus. My lowest was a win 3-0. Both the 2nd and 4th yooyus were darigan. I'm sure that brought my average down pretty far, though I don't know HOW much damage it did to the average, but I did have a few 14s,15s and 16s today. NO 17s yet this season. Here are my stats. Despite the goals saved by the our goalie, he ends up on his face a fair bit when the other team have a chance to shoot for a goal. >_> Would LOVE to trade him. lol

I played so much YYB yesterday I think I was close to capping it for the first time. Hopefully my girls cooperate today and let me game a lot and also get a couple things done around the house today as well. :)
