A couple of us TDN'ers have put our heads together and come up with a guild that we hope to use to benefit Neopians of all shapes and sizes.
 
Our guild, The Kindness Project, is aiming to help Neopians achieve their goals and have some wishes granted.  The idea came about because we both love being part of the Wishlist gifting threads at Christmas time (and other various times of the year) and we thought, "Well, what if we could do some more gifting, all year round?"
 
We've been setting up our staff, coding our pages, and, just like Santa Claus, making our lists and checking them twice.  Well, more than twice usually!
 
Now we would like to place an open call for general members!!!  These are not Council positions; you won't have to take any responsibility for the running of the guild.  All you have to take responsibility for is sharing some generosity and having some fun.
 
This is what our guild is about:
We here at TKP are dedicated to spreading joy all over Neopia! The idea of our guild was created between 2 people when we were sharing our visions of helping other neopet players achieve their dreams. We have always found extreme joy in bringing happiness to others and we figured a guild could help us to do this so much more effectively. What we seek out to do is to monthly grant 1 large wish and several small wishes for randomly chosen Neopian's.
 
So, if you also like helping others and are into gifting, come and join us!  The more the merrier and the bigger we are, the more wishes we'll be able to grant!

Well, as a member, you have the opportunity to put in up to two requests a month for those big ticket items out there that might seem like far off dreams.  While there is no guarantee that your request would be granted that month, you can't be in the running to have the chance to have your request granted if you aren't a member.
 
So.  Got a pet who's read all the books under 150K and the jump in price is crippling you?  Take a chance on us.
Got a pet whose gourmet food cravings are breaking the bank?  See if we can help.
Got a pet who would look amazing if only he was painted a different colour?  Ask us for that paint brush.
Trying to get those final pieces for your gallery but the budget just won't stretch that far?  Talk to us.

I'm not in the position to be a staff member for many reasons (account not that old, not much np, no lab access, social anxiety that makes me not able to handle interaction through IM, etc.) and I don't want join a guild, but I think this is a very cool idea! I bought some items from the donation shop and I bookmarked it so I can continue buying items when I have extra np. I figure even if I'm not part of the guild, I can still contribute to people getting their wishes granted =)

Just a reminder to those that have wishlists with mostly unbuyable items (100k+) or have had a lot of items bought from your wishlists, check your lists and if possible, make sure there's things of a variety of price levels so there's plenty for people to gift you according to their budgets.
 
If there's nothing specific you want under those amounts, think about maybe adding codestones/books/Neodeck cards or items you might like collecting a lot of, like some that collect Shiny Obsidian

I couldn't decide whether this was necessary to make a post about in the forums and I decided it was. I wanted to thank everyone in the Neopets community for being so welcoming and giving. I didn't come to the forum with the intention of receiving gifts, but people gave me welcoming presence and gifts. By me stating things that I want to save money for, just sharing what my goal is, some giving folk on Neopets has helped me with advice or used their hard earned Neopoints to help this Neopets noob.
 
For instance, I've received a ~
Royal Paint Brush (for my Peophin - that was my goal -, but I didn't expect it to just be given, due to worth and age of my account) Strawberry Fields Forever Paint Brush (for my future Cybunny - CYBUNNY DAY!) Christmas Paint Brush (For Christmas festivity) Forgotten Shore Maps (To help me fund for my future goals) A BUNCH of books (for my Peophin who's intelligence level is rising miraculously) Knowledge on how to save up money AND COUNTLESS other things. (if I didn't state something you have given me, I'm terribly sorry. I appreciated everything!)  
I cannot thank you all enough. I would love to give back to you all in the future, when I can afford something of significance. You are all too kind, and I know this is a community that I want to be a part of. I plan to grow my account slowly, and hopefully you can all witness it grow throughout time. Once again, THANK YOU!

'Tis the season for giving and we're here to give it a head start.
 
The rules are simple, post your wishlist (please make sure that they are obtainable items) and hope some generous TDN members will grant your wishes!
 
KEEP IN MIND:
Forum rules still apply. Consistent rule-breakers will be turned down and be given proper warnings. Posts can be deleted at the staff's discretion. Keep your wishes realistic: people are giving out of their own pockets and overly expensive wishes may not be granted There is no guarantee any or all of your wishes will be granted Make sure you have room in your inventory Update your list immediately so you don't get duplicates. DON'T FORGET TO GIVE THANKS!!

As you may have noticed, an increased number of Neopians have been losing access to their accounts recently.

This is a thread that you can post on now, or at any time in the future, if you're having issues with accessing your account and want to know what to do or how other users successfully regained access to accounts that they were locked out of as well as having frozen accounts restored. This way, you can come to this post and not have to hunt for other threads on the subject and all the information/best practices will be in one location for you.

From now on, please post here instead of starting a new topic. Also note, this is a thread for the discussion of issues regarding account access, and isn't meant to be a general chat board while you wait, so please stay on topic. Updates regarding progress are fine, but please stay within the scope of the topic of account access.


As a rule of thumb here are some of the recommendations that most users seem to make:
1. Use an existing side account or create a new side account to submit a ticket to TNT and if you cannot get the help site to load then you need to email them directly at [email protected] but only send one. Make sure you are polite and positive and be sure to provide as much information about your account as possible to prove that you are the owner.
2. Update your ticket daily by using the provide more information area.
3. Post on the Ticket Response Waiting Board which can be found in the Help section of the Neoboards. Just follow what everyone else there is doing.
4. Post on their Facebook page with your ticket number and politely ask that someone look into it.
5. In your correspondence with TNT be sure to remain polite and positive as these tickets tend to get looked at sooner then ones filled with anger and negativity.

DO NOT SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE TICKET!

I wasn't unhappy with what I got, but I wasn't dancing on the ceiling either.  I'm into plushies, so I thought they were pretty cute.  I also like books, but I didn't get any of the exclusive ones, which I was hoping for.  A stamp would have had me over the moon, but sadly that wasn't to be.  Still, as someone above said, free stuff is free stuff!
 
 
I got one of the igloo cup cakes, and if you're interested in buying it, I would be happy to put it up on the TP for you at a discounted price (which I have no idea about at the moment, but we could come to some arrangement by pm, perhaps?)

Wow!  All of them!  Amazing!! This is exactly the outcome everyone wants and nobody else much seems to be experiencing.  I'm so glad for you!

OMG.  This is terrible. I'm so sorry to hear this has happened to you.  Fingers crossed that Neopets can do something about it for you quickly and you get your accounts and items restored. There seems to be an epidemic of this lately. 
 
I just *finally* put PINS on everything about a week or two ago (because I'm a terrible procrastinator) but I've actually been feeling a bit paranoid about safety since doing it when strangely enough I had a bit of a "She'll be right, mate" attitude about it before.  And this just proves it really doesn't seem to matter what you do, you're vulnerable regardless. :sad01_anim:

I had an interesting experience recently with the PC.  I found it absolutely obsessed with UC's and well-named pets, as stated above, except I couldn't for the life of me work out what the majority of the acronyms stood for, so I didn't ACTUALLY know what it was they were so obsessed with.  I asked a couple of questions on some of the threads and got roundly ignored. But then a random PC'er who'd seen me ask the questions PM'ed me and answered all my questions and we had a bit of a chat for a day or two.  Which was nice of her.  And unexpected.  And completely unlike everyone else I came across on the PC.  The other thing I discovered was threads of people pound surfing looking for well named (WN) and very well named (VWN) pets and then posting their finds for others and chatting about the names.  They're into real world names, the shorter the better.  So, I have a Kacheek on one of my side accounts and her name is a surname in Indonesia.  It could get a favourable mention because it's a real-world name, but it's not a traditional first name, and it's not short (it's seven letters long and they seem to like five or less), so I don't know how she'd go.  Not that I'm planning to pound her at the point in time but...  Anyway, I just found that in interesting phenomena.  I wasn't sure if it was a public service or if it was more of an idle interest with no actual intention to adopt, in the same way that I might chat with someone about foreign destinations that interest me but with no actual intention of travelling right now, or if it was something a bit more predatory.  I wasn't sure if these people would swap out their pets at the drop of a hat if a better-named pet came along which made me wonder about their attachment to their pets. *shrugs*
 
Fruitcake, I'm not here to ask for a pet.  I have plenty.  (Although the plushie draik is VERY cute! But I already have a draik.)  I'm sorry to see you go, and good luck for the future.  Maybe you'll come back to Neopets sometime in the future like acmerasta did.  If you do, make sure you come back to TDN!
