It seems to be happening to others, too. There are a few topics on the "Help" Neoboard:

When Neopets is slow/"laggy", that issue appears to crop up. It happened to me, earlier this week. I was able to refresh, and my items appeared. However, reading the topics, for some, their items came back, but then disappeared, again. At this time, not sure what is going on, but some have mentioned their items in trade are still in trade.

Yes, I am going to start kadding again but I wanted to do some other things and get some other avatars that I couldn't get with my inventory full.  Kadding was so fun.  I ended up getting 994 on edna, and like Stebenjos said, I will never play it again.  I had finished day 3 at about 3 am my time and was getting ready for bed and day 4 came out.  I hit the timer for nova defender!!  I couldn't believe it.  I read the guide as 3,000 was my highest score.  It said to play it on hard.  I always played on easy.  So I played on hard and my highest score was 46,000.  It took me 15 mins to get the score needed for it and I went to bed.  I couldn't believe I did that.  lol.  Gummy dice was tough too.  I got well over 1000 and then my score went down down down as the dice were deducted from my score.  Luckily it didn't go under 900 and I made it to the next level.  I didn't get far in that level but it took me all day of playing the game as I kept getting like 700-800.  It was frustrating too.

I agree, the scores required for the games this year (and some of them last year?) seem more difficult than previous years. Maybe it's just the choice of games that is frustrating, but I've almost given up once or twice and the fun is no longer there. Edna's Shadow definitely took me longer than I'd like to admit, but my advice would be to follow guides like this written one, or a
guide to get any extra help you can. Keep at it and eventually you'll be done and (hopefully) never have to play it again :laughingsmiley:  Good luck!

Steve reacted to hrtbrk in Account Security: Best Ways To Protect Yourself and What To Look Out For
Hi everyone! It's that time again where we like to send a friendly reminder on account security and how you can protect your account.

Over the past week, there have been an large amount reports of accounts being broken into, affecting people who view the Neoboards, pet pages and neomails. But fret not, there are a few ways you can protect yourself!

    Always remember to log out.
This is an important, and easy step in preventing your account from being compromised. Doing so issues you a new cookie, which is something that remembers you every time you go back to the website. It is what account thieves steal from you in order to gain access to your account, so by logging out and logging back in, it makes the cookie that the thief may have become obsolete and unable to gain access to your account!

Frequently change your password/do not use the same password for every account.
While cookie grabbers cannot gain access to your password, it it still a wise choice to update your password every few months. Make sure you choose something that is not easy to guess, and have it contain a string of different numbers, letters, and characters.

    Put a PIN on everything.
Making sure you have a PIN on everything that is important to you will help prevent any items, neopoints - or worse - pets - from being removed from your account.

Turn OFF Advanced Neomails, NeoHTML and other fancy font effects.
It is suspected that cookie grabbers (CGers) are being embedded into Neomails as well as on Neoboards. It is recommended that you enable Plain Text Neomails in your user preferences as well as going into your neoboard preferences and disabling the fancy text as well as hiding Neo-signatures. This should block any malicious script that is hidden in these features.

NOTE: If you receive a suspicious neomail, it has been advised to not open it up.

Use other browsers and their plugins!
If you absolutely have to view a pet page, it is suggested to do so on a browser that you do not use for Neopets. It is also being suggested that if you MUST view the Neoboards to do so on a side account so your main won't become compromised. Additionally, a lot of browsers offer plugins that will allow you to block requests from websites other than Neopets. Doing so will stop the cookie grabber exploit from happening. Popular plugins to do this are NoScript and RequestPolicy (any script blocking plugin will do). If you choose this option, remember to white list requests from Neopets ONLY.

Additionally, always make sure your browser and their plugins (including Flash) are up to date.

If something is too good to be true, it probably is.
A lot of compromised accounts have had their expensive, rare, pets thrown into the pound as well as their galleries emptied into the Money Tree. Remember that if you see these things that it is probably too good to be true and you should not be tempted by cheap items appearing around Neopia as they came from a compromised account. It could be a trap or could end with you being reprimanded for it.

We hope these small tips and practices can help protect you around Neopia. For an extensive look at account security, please view our guide!

So I've recently been considering upgrading to a smartphone. I've had an older "dumb phone" for some time now and I've been looking at a few models, but I figured I'd ask for some opinions before making the purchase. Currently the Galaxy S6 is at the top of my list, with the iPhone being the other possibility at the moment. I don't really know much about smartphones and what to look for since this will be my first one, so please let me know if you guys have suggestions!

For people new to Food Club I always recommend looking over this guide. I'd suggest you start off by using other users' bets, such as Garet (Boochi Target) or Sidney, as they have been doing this for years and have a system that profits more times than not.

As other people have said, following the TDN Dailies page nets a pretty good profit, but it's generally the long-term investments (Food Club, Stock market, etc) that pay off more in the end.

Since a Pile of Soot is considered a type of petpet, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. The only problem is that if you plan to continue zapping the petpet with a petpetpet attached, you run the risk of losing both if it explodes.
