  1. Good luck to everyone trying for the avatar! Chocolate is one of my latest avvies after lurking the factory about 2 weeks. My shop still has a few factory items I bought trying to get the avatar. (:

    Some tips that might help:

+ Lurk around 1-3 am NST if you can because less users are online, usually ~7.5k

+ I refreshed every :09 seconds but I've also seen suggestions to refresh every :05 seconds.

+ Have 5,000 copied and ready to paste ( or 2,500 if it's HPD)

+ Resize the factory page to see all the items at once without scrolling

+ Familiarize yourself with some items that will get you the avatar

+ After you click on an item, quickly press the "enter" key…I think it's a little faster than clicking the "ok" button with your cursor to get to the price page.

  2. Yes Velm is amazing. I don't know how I made it through the first part of Haunted Woods without him the first go round??

The faeries were a little difficult. They took FOR.EV.ER!

Are you in Faerieland now? Good luck with Terask :)

  3. Been forgetting to come back here to look at comments, sorry. (oh drat.. there's no smiley for "stupid".)

Well, the worst has come to pass. I'm on level 10 and I have one nester left. The enemies keep coming hard and fast and taking out every little P3 I have. All my buildings (except the one nest I have) are toast. How are you supposed to function this way? In any other game, you'd be told "YOU DIED" and get to begin again with your head hung in shame that you were such a loser. :P That would be preferrable to this living death. (Do I sound just a little bit discouraged?) I have my larnikin nester sitting on the only remaining building left intact by the last wave of invading pests: the nest. My resources are what I understand to be rather pathetic, though I think I have enough to build one more nest.

@tomeander: I had to leave Habi for a couple of days and yes, all of the P3s died and left me nice little blue gems. The game saw that I had no P3s left and gave me a single nester. That was all. Not 3, one for each job. If the game had done so, I would be in a much better place than I am now. :) As for restart button, what I meant was a chance to start over from level one instead of being in the mess I'm in now. This is like starting over from scratch, only on a very hard setting. As a total newbie, that seems a bit harsh. If other NeoPet game allow for a do-over, why doesn't Habi? :weird: :questionmark:

    Suggestions anyone?

UPDATE: nope. Not enough mud for a new nest. I'm over 300 short.

My mistake, I was thinking about what happens if I leave Habi for a few days on level 50.

At level 10, the max population is 16? I think a pretty good ratio at that level is 1-2 soldiers, 3-4 nesters, and 11-12 workers. If you have single nester now, start hatching eggs for the nester/solider/workers you want and collecting eggs in your bag as well. Nests at level 1 take about an hour for eggs to incubate before they can be hatched.

  4. Thanks! I ended up starting over, but I'm already back up to level 33. I was just having to use too many potions in the haunted woods part. I read somewhere AFTER I started over that if you miss a character, you can pick them up at the next rest stop? I'm not sure if that is correct or not. I like NQ2 much better than the first!!

Wow, you're over halfway through the game already! That was quick. :) I always found Haunted Woods to be one of the toughest areas of the game. I remember I lost to the four faeries a few times and fled from Nox once. Velm is my favorite player in the game like so many people I've talked too. You brought up a good question though, I wonder if you can pick up missing players. I'll see if I can find more information. I like NQ II better than the first version too.

  5. Does anyone here have trouble accessing the HELP page? I can't access the page on Safari, there is always a message that the page is expired. I can access the page using Chrome though.

HatPC & Gourmet Bowls. Many people have trouble loading the games. If the games are going to be available on the site, couldn't they be fixed so everyone can play the games? I wish other games such as DoN, Invasion of meridell, and Lenny Conundrum were fixed too. I'd rather have those games fixed than some new food item/book/clothes.

  6. For the most part, I like the TP. It's easy to set up a trade and to accept/reject. Something I don't like about TP is the price checking, people can easily inflate the price. I wish a description of what a person wants was required too.

It is annoying to log in to find offers withdrawn but at least we can withdraw unlike auctions or shops.

  7. I have a similar issue about the ticket page, it won't show up on Safari but it will on Chrome. It's probably safer to make a board on the KQ chat board to find people that will play with you, knowing your computer might get glitchy. Does your computer tend to have problems during the mini-games? If so, you can make a board to play a game without mini-games. Good luck getting your ticket through, hope your suspension is taken off your record.

  8. Me as well! One of these days I'm going to get around to playing it on evil... MAYbe insane. It just takes so long. Plus I actually like NQ2 a LOT better!

EDIT: OHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOO. I forgot to get Velm. I can't get back to the desert. Does anyone know if I will have to finish the whole game without him, or if there will be a point in time to go back??? I refuse to start over. nopenopenopenope

How is the game going? I don't think you can go back to get Velm, you'll have to try and finish the game without him. I've read about some players that didn't recruit all the characters and have finished alright. Stock up on potions and good luck!

  9. Wow, congrats! I have SUCH trouble with that game! Normally I'm great with bubble shooters, but the effects the combos have mess me up, I'm not used to that aspect.

I followed the guide on /~faerieful and the info is identical to the guides on TDN and SN. Yes, the air/dark/earth faerie combos were really tough to recover from sometimes! If you have to activate an air faerie combo, do so when there are many bubbles are on the game screen and try not to land the activating bubble as a lone bubble in a new row (or you'll create a new row of bubbles). It was very helpful for me to bounce bubbles off the side walls and to use the fire/water faerie combos to minimize my the number of shots I used. A big part of this game is being lucky in the combos that appear in a level and the effects those combos have on other bubbles. Good luck on the avatar!
