Wow, congrats, that's great progress! Thank you for the well wishes, and good luck to you, too! You just have to keep at it and eventually you'll get there. :)

Same here, only switch out the flip-flops (I don't wear sandals much) for a floppy hat. One of my goals this spring/summer, especially now that I have a job and can afford it, is to spruce up my wardrobe without breaking the bank. Time to break out the sewing machine, hit the thrift stores, and do some deal-hunting!

Otherwise, I don't have many spring-specific goals. I'm into fitness and weight lifting, and right now I'm trying to get down to 18-20% body fat as part of that. I'm making good progress and hoping to be there by summer, and then I can focus more intensively on making strength gains (it's hard to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time). So there's that. But otherwise, all my goals are long-term.

As for neopets... hm. I think I'll give my gnorbu a makeover. He's got a steampunk theme right now, which I like, but I think I could do better. Maybe a new paint job, even. I'll have to brainstorm some ideas.

If you were asking people to gift it to you, then that probably constitutes begging in their book. If you were suggesting a trade, like "I'll trade this item/pay this much for a Landfish", then it would probably be okay as far as I know (don't quote me on that), but asking for free is technically "begging". It's weird that the post in question wasn't the post where you were asking for the item, though.

My advice is just don't do it again and nothing more will come of it. You can ask here and no one will get mad at you, we have a thread for that if you haven't posted there yet, so you can try that if you still need the Landfish. Best of luck!

Edit: ok, so after skimming through several pages of the neoboards I can conclude that most people disliked the idea of giving out avatars (I wouldn't mind the random ones...) what I can say for myself is that I do feel they shouldn't give out retired plot avatars, they should instead make it easier for us to obtain really hard ones nowadays eg: I do not agree with giving out as a random event the Stamp Collector - Lost Desert avatar, but I do agree with giving out the Coltzan Stamp as it is a retired item needed for this avatar, besides handing out this type of items do not necessarily mean they will earn them the same avatar, as the user can still be missing other stamps for his album (although it is a liitle bit easier to complete it...)

I have an American Staffordshire Terrier, which looks like a pit bull. Her name is Molly, and she is the most loving, mellow, non-aggressive dog I've ever owned.

She's never tried to hurt a person or creature (except one time she ate a bug right out of the air :P). One time she walked up to a smaller dog at the vet to say hi, they sniffed for a minute, and then the other dog snapped at her and bit her on the nose. I guess he was blind, and Molly being so close made him uncomfortable. All Molly did was tuck her tail under and walk away. No aggression whatsoever. Similar things have happened with other dogs, and she never responds with anything but submission. She's very strong, but would probably lose in a fight because it's just not in her personality to be aggressive.

I think ANY dog's aggression level is highly connected to how they are raised. This isn't always true; dogs have their own personalities and some can be crazy even with an owner who knows what they're doing (I've had it happen to me). However, proper training plays a huge role.

That being said, sometimes a specific breed or color (such as blue pit bulls) have problems with inbreeding, for example, and that makes them more prone to aggression. That's the breeder's fault, though, not the animals'. Too much inbreeding causes problems in any species, and aggression is a common outcome. You see the same thing in albino hamsters. Are all of them going to be aggressive? No, but it is more likely in those circumstances.

In the end, I guess what I'm saying is that it isn't either nature or nurture but a mix of both.

From what I've seen, most fishing junk hasn't been used in the item pool. I'd suggest going after that stuff.

I know your pain. I have a 29 degree curve, and when I was younger it used to put me in a lot of pain, especially when standing or walking for extended periods of time. They never put me in a brace because for the majority of the time it wasn't that bad (it gradually worsened as I grew) and once it got to where it was severe enough to potentially warrant a brace I was done growing and it wouldn't have helped.

Has your doctor ever suggested physical therapy? Stretching and strengthening the affected muscles could help, it's at least worth a shot. Exercise is also a good idea, if it hasn't already been suggested to you. My doctor always told me to keep moving and now that I finally am exercising regularly I have less pain when standing around. I actually worked an 8-hour shift on my feet yesterday with minimal discomfort (although on other days it has definitely gotten to me).

I hope you find some sort of solution that works for you. Keep at it, eventually something has to work! :)

When I graduated 8th grade, my grandma gave me a ring she had received for her 8th grade graduation back in the early 1950's.

I absolutely love it and wear it every day. I didn't graduate high school, getting my GED instead, but this May I will graduate college with a two-year degree. To celebrate that (as well as to celebrate getting my first job), my grandma sent me this.

The ring and bracelet are silver, and belonged to her mother. The ring fits perfectly, which surprised me as I have small fingers (the other one was resized before it was given to me).

I don't mean to brag, I'm just really excited to have gotten such a wonderful gift. :)

What makes you think that everyone will have it? Not everyone can get on every day, people are bound to have missed days. Plus there are three prizes if you build the ray gun whatsits individually, and a different prize if you build them all together.

I don't think TNT have an everyone's a winner mentality at all, in fact quite the opposite a lot of the time xD they reward people who are on the site 24/7, and quite a number of people aren't able to do that.

Watercolors and acrylics are for little kids? I think Milton Avery and Andrew Wyeth would disagree with that! How about Andy Warhol and Mark Rothko? Was Warhol a baby for painting his famous soup cans with acrylics?

I would agree to make sections by character but if you want you can sort of do both by ranking them in order by books/toys/grooming etc. and it will pull it in in that order.

I really want in on this but I need two Cobrall Roots which are now going at 30,000 for the cheapest ones (and I can only find a handful total). I have the np, but that's not the point. I can't imagine this will be the only expensive item I'll need, looking at the other posts, or I might just do it.

I think Neopets tried to make this accessible to everyone by using abundant, cheap items and now people are ruining it by getting greedy.
