blaisezabini got a reaction from gingerew in Roo Island Topples Tyrannia's Streak
Hello and welcome, everybody! The fourth round is well underway, and there has been tons of action on the field! This is Matt reporting to you from the newsroom with my co-anchor Katie, and our field reporter Austin, who apparently has broken out of jail with explosives again. Never mind him - the results from the Alabriss Bracket have just come in, and the whole bracket is full of sweeps!

Yesterday, Kreludor and Maraqua took on underdogs Moltara and Faerieland respectively. The results were predictable as Kreludor and Maraqua both were able to dominate the underdogs with clean sweeps in all games. We have a live interview with Derlyn Fonnet, left defender for team Kreludor, at the end of the segment!

Darigan Citadel and the Scary Terrors faced off yesterday. The Citadel has been the stronger team this year, but that didn't stop the Scary Terrors from shutting the Citadel out, rounding out the Alabriss Bracket with a third sweep. The Citadel's scores have not been up to par recently, and they seem to be losing motivation. Terror Mountain took advantage of this and passed the Citadel, climbing to second while the Citadel fell to third. The Citadel needs to find a way to boost their morale. Every day that they don't, the podium gets further away.

Now, let's go to our interview with Derlyn Fonnet of Team Kreludor!

Hi, Derlyn! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to be interviewed! I know you're busy so I'll make this quick! You've been in the same bracket as Darigan Citadel for the whole Cup, yet you've only faced them once. During that encounter you were able to come out on top, winning all of the games except Slushie Slinger. How do you think you're going to do tomorrow?
Derlyn: I'm feeling great about our chances against the Citadel! We're all fired up after our sweep against Moltara! We're hoping to carry some of that energy out into the field with us!

Currently you guys are at the top of your bracket, and fourth place in the total standings. How good do you think your chances are at placing on the podium?
Derlyn: We've been doing relatively good this year! We also don't seem to be affected by the winner’s curse as much as previous teams, so that's a bonus! With Tyrannia and Altador dominating, I think we'll have a good chance at third. Now if you'll excuse me, we have to go start practicing for our match!

This is all for me! Let's turn this over to my co-anchor Katie!

Thanks, Matt -- this is your ever-effervescent co-anchor, Katie, with the results for the Minitheus Bracket! Yesterday's match-ups did not disappoint! Virtupets and the Haunted Woods played a fairly close match, with the former taking Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger. Brightvale followed suit and clinched the same, while the Lost Desert and the Haunted Woods both had successes in Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Shenkuu, however, defeated Mystery Island in every game save Make Some Noise.

The skirmish between Virtupets and the Haunted Woods resulted in a profuse stream of binary erupting from the Robots' fans. Although the passion for the heated Yooyuball match was there, it wasn't enough to outdo the howling of the Haunted Woods' supporters. Goltron Mk I, of Virtupets fame, translated their fans' ardor into their game strategy -- on his part, he let few Yooyus past his outstretched arms. Though the team hasn't yet seen a second championship run, Goltron Mk I refuses to let any rough seasons drag them down. Thus, taking Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger from higher-ranked Team Haunted Woods is certainly notable. As for the Zombies, they still remain ahead in the bracket -- and will if they continue to win enough important matches.

Brightvale outsmarted their opponent, the Lost Desert, by edging out in Yooyuball and leading comfortably in Slushie Slinger. The Mummies, however, wound up the match by bandaging their wounds and persevering through the match in order to secure the Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown wins. The Wizards have had a decent performance since the start of the round, but they are still trailing the Haunted Woods in the bracket. Those two teams are meeting for the first time today, and the outcome will prove whether or not Brightvale has the means to bolster their current standing. As for the Lost Desert, it seems that even a marginal improvement has done wonders to their morale. By reforming from their poor start to the tournament, they've managed to raise themselves up toward a better ranking.

The Ninjas have had an excellent start to the fourth round, with only two losses so far. Mystery Island, however, continues to fall behind, although the Natives staved off a second sweep with a win in Make Some Noise. Shenkuu's performance has vastly improved from earlier rounds, and is certainly a refreshing change as the second half of the tournament draws closer to its end. Meanwhile, Mystery Island needs to revamp their game strategy if they wish to get out of the mire that's keeping them down. The fifth round has yet to transpire, so there's no shame in exploring new ways of garnering wins.

Our coverage of the Vaeolus Bracket will continue with our field reporter, Austin, who's managed to recapture the center of controversy.

I'm live from a cave in Altador, where I am hiding out from authorities. Apparently it's illegal to blow things up, even if you claim it's for special effects purposes. Once again it appears I'm a man on the run, and NO ONE will stop me. Aside from all the commotion, we had an amazing day in the Vaeolus Bracket.

Altador pulled the old sweep swop deepity dop over the Knights from Meridell. The Suns pulled quite a few impressive victories, winning all their games with nine points or more. Continuing to sweep through the competition, they are definitely poised for a podium spot this year. Meridell, on the contrary, is struggling to stay in contention. These next few days will be absolutely crucial for both teams.

Kiko Lake pulled a near sweep swop deepity dop over Krawk Island, only falling short in Shootout Showdown. The Kikos, pulling off one of their most impressive victories of the year, ousted Krawk island six to five in a come from behind victory. "Poke" Cellers tacked four goals to his season total, including the game-winner. Even with the loss, Krawk Island did not lose much ground, as they still sit in fourth place in one of the toughest brackets we've seen all year.

And in the biggest surprise of the day, red has finally found the Fossils and crashed them back down to earth. Tyrannia is now officially the last team to lose a game in the Cup. Roo Island was able to topple the once undefeated team in Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown. While they did lose both games, Tyrannia still maintains lead of the Vaeolus Bracket and the overall first place ranking. Still, this looks like it could be one of the greatest upsets in Cup history. We'll see how the impact of such a monumental upset will affect both of these teams as we see the Cup progress into its final stages.

Now, we go into the matches to watch.

Kreludor will take on Darigan Citadel later on this evening. In a game that pits two of the top eight teams in the Cup against each other, neither team has the clear advantage. Although the Minions did take away a win earlier in the Cup, Kreludor has a great amount of momentum gathered and could push Darigan Citadel to the end. This may be one of the most exciting games we see tonight!

Haunted Woods will take on Brightvale tonight. Both teams have been largely inconsistent this year, but we've seen both come up with enormous victories. Haunted Woods is currently leading the Minitheus Bracket, with Brightvale trailing closely behind. If Brightvale can take out the Zombies, the chemistry of the bracket could be changed greatly.

The game of the night will be a rematch between two of the top teams in the Cup: newfound powerhouse Altador will take on former champion Roo Island. The Rooligans were able to give Altador their second side game loss of the season last time, but couldn't get the energy to top them in anything else. Now, they're coming into the day with a lot of momentum after they took a few games from the previously unbeaten Tyrannians. Don't be surprised if Roo Island gives Altador their first overall loss of the season tonight. Altador versus Roo Island could be the game of the Cup so far.

And with all of that, I must skedaddle. It's best for me not to stay in one area for a long time. There's a madman on the loose, and I don't want to be caught. Hopefully we see some terrific matchups tonight, and I'll see you tomorrow! For the crew here at TDN, stay classy everyone!

Good morning, everyone! This is Austin and I am live in the police station. It's been well over forty hours since I was arrested, and I am still stuck here. I'm hoping to get out soon. I was able to catch games from the Alabriss Bracket last night before they sent me off to bed. The results were very exciting.

Sweeps ruled the day, as two teams were able to get the sweep, with another team just one game shy of a sweep. That team was Kreludor, who took all games with the exception of Shootout Showdown. The Moons put together a terrific performance against the surging Mermaids of Maraqua, and nearly pulled off their third sweep of the year. The Maraquans lost their first game in three days, and will try to regain the momentum they had before.

Darigan Citadel pulled off a nice sweep over Moltara. The Minions, now coming off of their second straight sweep, will try to put a winning streak together to stay in the top four as we see the Cup near an end. Last night was Moltara’s tenth time being swept this year. After a relatively positive showing last year, Moltara has disappointed so far this year as they fight to stay out of the bottom of the points standings. Both teams have a lot of work left to do.

Terror Mountain continued to shine yesterday by pulling another sweep over the Faeries. The Scary Terrors are coming into the Alabriss Bracket as one of the strongest teams in the Cup, and they kicked off this round without missing a beat. Terror Mountain put together their ninth straight Yooyuball win, along with their third straight sweep. If the Scaries can keep it up, they could easily compete with Altador and Tyrannia for the Cup.

Well, that's it for this bracket - over to you Katie!

Thanks, Austin! I'm Katie, your sole anchor in the newsroom for today. Time for the results you've been waiting for, and it looks like round four has started off with a bang! The Minitheus Bracket had only one sweep yesterday, with the Haunted Woods scaring up wins against Mystery Island. The Lost Desert put all their effort into Yooyuball against Shenkuu, while the Ninjas campaigned to make up the solitary loss by side-game sweeping the Mummies. Lastly, Virtupets and Brightvale split the match-up evenly with two wins each, though Virtupets edged out in the end with the bonus spotlighted on Make Some Noise.

Mystery Island had a rough outing against the Haunted Woods yesterday, falling prey to the Zombies in all four games. It seemed like the Haunted Woods' captain, Krell Vitor, had a voracious appetite for wins. Once sated, he talked about his outlook for the rest of the season. Vitor explained that he wasn't too satisfied being shunted to the middle of the pack, quoting last year's finish, and hoped that they might improve their rank by the end of the tournament. He acknowledged that a podium spot would have to wait until next year, but for now, they would fight for the best possible place they could. Vitor then hastily departed the interview, muttering something about chiding defender Brains Mortigan for drooling too much. For Mystery Island, notwithstanding their disappointing season thus far, the Natives have managed to salvage some points in side games and keep themselves out of last place. As the points increase each subsequent round, any team can raise their current position with a few hard-earned victories. Don't lose hope!

The Lost Desert staved off an unpleasant outcome against Shenkuu with the Yooyuball victory, garnering much-needed points after a so-so third round. Shenkuu's stealthy strategy paid off in the end, winning three of the four games by a one-point margin. The Ninjas' Mirsha Grelinek wasn't too displeased at the Yooyuball loss, as she remains the third-best goal scorer in the league. For her, finding the right harmony between their strengths and their opponents' strengths is extremely important to climb in the standings. Currently ranking higher than last year's placing, this harmony has obviously been perfected. The Lost Desert continues to underwhelm the competition, but at least they have started to strike back since the third round. The Mummies might not reach anywhere near their potential this season, but that doesn't necessarily mean they can't finish strong.

The most highly competitive match-up of the Minitheus Bracket belonged to Teams Virtupets and Brightvale. The Virtupets-Brightvale contest proved to be quite interesting, as both teams took two victories apiece. The Robots had a comfortable margin in Yooyuball and scored the win in Make Some Noise, while the Wizards took Slushie Slinger and had their own comfortable margin in Shootout Showdown. The former champion hasn't recovered completely from their fall, as they continue to perform below average, but their victories against Brightvale have shown that they aren't done yet. Still, they have a long way to go if they want to bolster their current standing. Brightvale themselves have done a decent job, taking wins away from powerhouses, and are currently in the top ten. For the Wizards, consistency is key and to deviate might spell disaster for the team.

Next up, the Vaeolus Bracket. Considered by many to be the most riveting of the three brackets, its clashes were up to par with expectations. Tyrannia dominated fan-favorite Meridell, as Roo Island did Krawk Island. Altador clearly outshone Kiko Lake, although the Kikos did manage to cast their shadow on the Suns' victory.

Team Tyrannia continues to pull ahead of the competition. The Fossils' undefeated streak is still intact as the tournament moves into the fourth round, but with this year's powerhouses concentrated within this bracket, this may soon change. Meridell has begun to falter as of late, and the consequences have been dire. The Knights were in contention for a podium spot, but as victories slipped away, so did their chances for a metal trophy. This is definitely a tough bracket for all teams involved, especially when the outcome is crucial for those fighting for eternal glory.

The Rooligans fared well against the Pirates yesterday, taking vital wins to stay ahead in the standings. The race for a podium spot is on, and as the days dwindle down, wins and losses will make or break teams. Both Roo Island and Krawk Island are within a few points of each other, and the former is even closer to the current third place team. As stated earlier, wins in this brutal bracket are crucial for a chance at a trophy this year.

Most notable of yesterday's results was Kiko Lake's Slushie Slinger success against the Suns. With an impressive 12-7 margin, Kiko Lake cut their losses in order to capture the single game. Few have been successful in this endeavor, but the strategy worked for the team. Altador fell behind Tyrannia in the standings by a few points, but with a sizable lead on the current third place team, the Suns are all but guaranteed a trophy at the end. Kiko Lake, however, will likely suffer in the standings after the round is over.

That's it from the newsroom! We'll turn it over to Austin now to conclude today's report.

Thanks, Katie. Austin here, and I'm back for today's matches to watch.

Roo Island takes on Tyrannia starting tonight, in what could prove to be Tyrannia's toughest challenge yet. The Rooligans have not been swept yet, but the Fossils have swept every team they have faced. It's going to be very interesting to see how everything unfolds. Can Tyrannia pull off their most impressive sweep of the season? Or will everything come crashing down for them with a Roo Island victory?

The Haunted Woods will face a tough test in taking on the Robots of Virtupets. The Robots boast a good Yooyuball record, but their side game scores are the opposite. The Haunted Woods has been very streaky this year, but they still look good enough to contend for a top tier spot. This is definitely a game to watch. Either team could come out on top.

The Minions will try to continue to gather steam as we close out the Cup by taking on Terror Mountain tonight. Terror Mountain has looked unbeatable during the past few days and could pose a legitimate problem for Darigan Citadel. The winner of this game could be a real challenger for the top spot in the bracket. This is definitely a game to keep your eyes on!

Good morning, everyone! This is Austin reporting live from the outskirts of Altador, where we have Farmer Joe with us live. It's been reported that one of Farmer Joe's Kaus has predicted every single game correctly so far. Joe, how does your Kau do it?

Well, ya see, when you ask him who's gonna win, he'll either start eating or stop eating. If you ask him if he thinks Altador will win over Meridell, he'll eat. If he thinks Meridell will win, he won't eat. So far he has 100% prediction accuracy.

That is very cool, Joe. Hopefully your Kau keeps it up. We'll cover the sto-

(An explosion goes off in the background)

NO! Not my Kaus! Get help!

    Uhhhhhh... Let's cut to commercial.

Commercial: Have you ever struggled with not being cool? It's a problem in today's world, but don't fret. Sign-up today for Noog's Cool Classes and become the coolest person you know! And we're back! I'm now live from the Altador Police Station, where they are investigating me for the explosion of a farm on the outskirts of Altador. While I wait to get interviewed by the police, let's go over yesterday's results from the Alabriss Bracket.

Virtupets won their third Yooyuball game of the bracket yesterday by topping Kiko Lake. However, Kiko Lake managed to get a side sweep over the former champs, extending their streak of solid performances to four days. Kiko Lake has been running hot as of late and will look to carry their momentum into the next bracket. The Kikos still have a lot of time to reverse their somewhat poor fortunes.

Maraqua picked up their third straight Yooyuball victory yesterday with a four to three victory over Shenkuu. Maraqua now has three Yooyuball wins in the bracket, after only having three total Yooyuball victories in the Cup before. It looks like the tides may have finally turned for Maraqua, and they could be on the way to a top tier spot if they can stay hot through the final weeks of play.

The Scary Terrors continued their surprisingly hot (or rather, blistering cold) pace by gathering their eighth straight victory, a far cry from their opening one-to-seven win-loss ratio. The Chillers toppled Meridell for their second sweep of the bracket. Meridell has only won one game of Yooyuball so far in the bracket, yet they still lead. Many skeptics are questioning the legitimacy of the bracket system put together by the Altador Athletic Association. Meanwhile, Meridell and its supporters continue to fight hard to keep their top spot, and if they can reverse fortunes, they may still be able to win the Cup.

Guard: Sir, could we have you step this way, we need to ask you a few questions.

And with that I must go. Let's send it to the newsroom to Matt. Stay classy, Neopia.

Hello everybody, this is Matt reporting live from the newsroom! Austin, try not to get arrested again, please. Let's go over the results from the Minitheus bracket, but before I do however, some breaking news has come in from this bracket! As of this moment, Kreludor has passed Darigan Citadel! Kreludor is now in third, while the Citadel has dropped to fourth! We'll see if the Citadel can reclaim their spot, or if they'll remain in fourth. Now for yesterday's results!

Yesterday, we saw Roo Island and Kreludor face off against each other. With Roo Island's recent sweep against Brightvale, they looked very energetic coming into today's match! That energy showed in their match today as they took the field by storm. Kreludor was able to catch up however, but not fast enough as Roo Island was able to win Yooyuball with a thin margin of one point. They were also able to nearly side sweep the Moons, winning Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown. However, Kreludor was able to take Make Some Noise, which is not an easy feat against a team that has very few losses. This marks only Roo Island's 10th loss this year, which is certainly an impressive milestone for the Moons to make their mark on.

Our next match of this bracket was Altador against Haunted Woods. Even with the Haunted Woods' wins against the Citadel the other day, the Zombies still weren't able to stop a sweep from the Suns. Even though the Suns no longer have their perfect record, they still seem to be going strong, and they are still a top candidate for the Cup. We'll see if Altador is able to keep their strength up as we head into new brackets.

And our match to watch today, Brightvale versus Darigan Citadel! This definitely turned out to be a heated match! The last time these two teams faced off, Brightvale was able to take Yooyuball and Make Some Noise. The Citadel was hungry for revenge today, and it showed. They were unaffected by the Wizard's magic, and being left with no counterattack, the Wizards were defenseless. Darigan was able to take Yooyuball, and the rest of the side games, cleanly sweeping Brightvale. Despite their drop in their bracket standings, the Citadel still looks strong. We'll see if they can make some more progress in their new bracket.

Now let's turn this over to my wonderful co-anchor Katie, while I take a break which has absolutely nothing to do with breaking Austin out of custody!

Thank you very much, Matt! I'm your resident co-anchor, Katie, and the results for the Vaeolus bracket are fresher than ever! Incredible! Teams Tyrannia and Krawk Island finished off the round with steadfast resolve, sweeping both their respective opponents across all four games. These two teams have also gone completely undefeated in the third round, which is quite a marvelous achievement! The Moltara Magmas had a stunning near-sweep yesterday, dropping only Make Some Noise to Mystery Island -- and that rounds out the Vaeolus bracket summary!

Teams Tyrannia and Krawk Island swept Faerieland and the Lost Desert, respectively. The third round proved highly successful for both powerhouses, garnering them important points for the standings. The Fossils are still the team to beat with a spotless 15-0 record for all four games. As for the Pirates, the Krawk Island crew continues to prove that they are in adamant contention for a podium spot, with no losses at all during the third round. Sharing this feat with Tyrannia, the Pirates will be looking to carry over their winning momentum to the fourth round. As the points increase after each subsequent round, it is vital for Krawk Island to keep fighting for victories in order to catch up to the leading teams.

The gritty match-up between the Magmas and Natives went to the former; Moltara took Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger, and Shootout Showdown, while Mystery Island staved off another sweep by edging out in Make Some Noise. Unfortunately, the Natives were unable to keep their side game momentum going against the Magmas. The third round bracket ultimately showed more improvement for Mystery Island, while Moltara remains somewhat consistent overall. Both of these teams have a lot to fight for: for the Magmas, this season might spell disaster if they can't pull themselves out of last place, and the Natives have already fallen hard since their second place finish last year. There's still two rounds to go though, so anything could happen!

Since today is the bye day for the current round, there will be no anticipated match-ups to report on. There will also be no results tomorrow, so we'll see all of you during the fourth round! This has been an ever-enlightening report by Austin, Matt, and Katie, your favorite reporters. Have a good day, folks!

Hello and welcome, everybody! This is Matt reporting to you live from the newsroom with my co-anchor Katie! Austin might be a bit late. He said something about going on a date with his rock? Don't worry, I'll make sure he takes his medication. Anyways, let's get on with yesterday's results! I have here the results from the Alabriss bracket. Let's get started!

Shenkuu and Kiko Lake faced off yesterday, and after their recent victory against Meridell, the Kikos were looking to get some more victories on their record - and that's exactly what they did. The Kikos were able to take control of the whole game, not once easing up on the pressure. They were able to win Yooyuball with a score of five to four. The victory propelled the Kikos to also side sweep the Ninjas, resulting in a clean sweep against Shenkuu. The Kikos seem to be gaining energy once again - we'll see if they can keep up these wins!

Our second matchup from this bracket was Terror Mountain versus Virtupets. Terror Mountain, or the Scary Terrors, as Austin likes to call them, were able to win Yooyuball against the Robots. They were also able to snag every side game, resulting in yet another sweep. The "Scary Terrors" look like they're gaining momentum. They've had a lot of success in this round so far, but despite that, they are still ranked in the middle of their bracket.

For our last matchup of this bracket, and one anticipated by many, we had Maraqua and Meridell go head-to-head. Surprisingly, Maraqua was able to dominate most of the match, and Meridell wasn't able to make much of a comeback, only scoring a few goals to end the game with a score of six to five. This unexpected victory motivated the Mermaids' fans to fill the stadium with their cheers, completely drowning out the Knights' supporters. The Knights weren't ready to give up however, as they took victories in Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown. Unlike the Scary Terrors, Meridell seems to be losing steam. It's not a good time to do that however, as today is the last day of actual gameplay before we receive new brackets. We're more than halfway done with the competition, and it is crucial that Meridell regains their energy or else they will fall.

Now let's turn this over to my co-anchor Katie!

Thank you for your enthralling report, Matt! This is your co-anchor, Katie, with the latest details from the Minitheus bracket. Well! Isn't this astonishing? All three brackets had two sweeps each yesterday, and the Minitheus bracket is no exception! Altador and Roo Island scored clean sweeps against Kreludor and Brightvale, respectively. The Haunted Woods and Darigan Citadel split the match-up with two wins each: Darigan Citadel snagged Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown, while the Zombies took Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise.

Altador and Roo Island did exceptionally well yesterday, sweeping their opponents by comfortable margins. The Suns especially destroyed the Moons in all four games, turning night into day with their victories. Though the third round marked the end of Altador's undefeated streaks in Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown, the losses have done little to damage their morale, and their Yooyuball and Make Some Noise performances remain impeccable.

Roo Island bounced back from their near-sweep by the Suns in order to sweep Brightvale. The Rooligans continued to show their Shootout Showdown prowess with a four-point margin over the Wizards, and with only one loss the entire tournament, they seem determined to keep that column in the green. Despite the losses for both teams, it looks like they will finish the round strong.

The position of most exciting match-up in the Minitheus bracket goes to the clash between Teams Haunted Woods and Darigan Citadel. Longtime rivals Layton Vickles, of Darigan Citadel fame, and the Zombies' hardened captain Krell Vitor led their teams on a series of fierce scoring campaigns on the Yooyuball field. The score remained even for most of the match, but Tandrak Shaye outsmarted the Haunted Woods' goalkeeper, Fanetti, and was responsible for lifting the Minions to victory. The Haunted Woods, however, struck back and took Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. Morale for both teams seem to have improved during yesterday's match, as both teams altogether fared well. The former champions have regained some of their confidence, but will it be enough to last through the second half of the tournament?

That's all we have for the Alabriss and Minitheus brackets here in the newsroom. Since our... hang on, we're getting word now that our field reporter, Austin, is available for his segment. Let's go live to Austin for the results of the Vaeolus bracket before he's sedated... again.

Hey, everyone, it's Austin reporting live from the slushie stands. My apologies for being late today. Rock and I went out for slushies and Livvy was there. She killed rock and is my camerawoman again. We ended up making up over slushies and both got major brain freezes.

Livvy: You were carrying a fffrickin' rock. I did not kill it. For the record.

    You smashed her!

Livvy: Nope, that doesn't count! It's not on the record! Lalalalalala...

It doesn't matter anymore. She's dead. And I'm stuck with you again.

Livvy: You know you like it better this way.

[Livvy sticks out her tongue like a mature adult.]

    Rock was good to me.

All fighting aside, I have yesterday's results from the Vaeolus Bracket. The Dinosaur things swept the Missing Desert. The Dinos pulled off another great victory to remain undefeated in the tournament. The Missings couldn't get close enough to pull off a win, though they still sit in third place in the bracket. Tyrannia looks to be the clear front runner right now, but we know how things change. With new brackets popping up soon, we could see Tyrannia potentially falter. If Tyrannia continues their high scores though, we could see them on the top of the podium at the end of the tournament.

Faerieland was able to take their third Yooyuball win in the tournament, although their opponents Mystery Island pulled off their most impressive performance of the year by taking all three side games. Though Mystery Island isn't performing up to expectations, they are currently sitting in fourth in their bracket, which should earn them some very much needed points. If Mystery Island can gain momentum off of the wins they just pulled, they may be able to bring themselves out of the cellar. We'll see how things unfold with both of these teams, as there are still a lot of games to be played.

The scary pirate things swept the Volcanos. The Volcanos spit as much lava as they could but still couldn't put a dent in Krawk Island's scores. The scary pirate thin-

Livvy: Oh my Coltzan, you're doing the thing again. The thing where you sound dumb. They're just Pirates. That's their name. And the Moltarans are Magmas.

    You're not my mom!

Livvy: No, I'm your Onethirds! Brat!

    I AM NOT A BRAT!

Livvy: Yes you are! You're the worst brat! You might even be... bratwurst! [Double snaps.] Hehehe!

That was a terrible pun. You are the bratWORST at puns.

Livvy: Ehehehehe, have you ever read your puns, Twothirds? They are terrible. And wonderful. Wonderterrible. …oh my gosh, this brainfreeze is ridiculous.

I AM wonderful. Wonderfully d- *THWACK*

Uh... the Pirates have swept every single team they have played in this bracket so far, and will look to keep their streak alive as we near the end of bracket play. The Magmas, on the other hand, will try to reverse their fortunes. Moltara has only won two games total in the bracket so far. We'll see how these two teams fare as the third bracket comes to an end.

And because I have a bone to pick with Livvy, I'll wrap this up. I'll send it to you, Matt. Stay classy, Austin.

Thanks Austin... and Livvy! I hope you and Livvy sort out your, errrr... problems. Let's take a look at the matches to watch for today!

Darigan Citadel and Brightvale will once again be facing each other, and after Brightvale's upset the other day, you can expect the Citadel to be looking for revenge. We'll see if they are able to defeat the Wizard's magic, or if there will be a repeat.

For our last match to watch we have Terror Mountain versus Meridell. After their sweep yesterday, Terror Mountain will be looking to further their success with some victories against the Knights, while Meridell will be looking to get back on their feet and defeat the Scary Terrors.

That's all we have for today! If you'll excuse me, I should head over to the Slushie Stand and separate Austin and Livvy before they harm each other! This has been Matt with my co-anchor Katie, reporting to you live from the newsroom! See you tomorrow!

Hello, Neopia! I am live from Altador, where all is happy and magical, as we are officially halfway through the Cup. Now that I have my favorite camerawoman back (the rock, not Livvy), I can finally report in peace. Yesterday was rough on me, but I realized that rock is best for my career as a field reporter. I'm so happy that I can finally report in peace, without harassment.

I have results for the Alabriss Bracket once again, and we saw some impressive victories. Meridell once again failed to play up to expectations by losing three of four to Kiko Lake, including Yooyuball. Meridell, though leading the bracket, has played extremely poorly the past few days. While they are still in first, if they want to retain their spot, they must play better in the next few days. Kiko Lake, on the other hand, is looking good after falling so dramatically in the past two brackets.

Maraqua picked up a rare Yooyuball win as they ousted Shenkuu in the final moments of yesterday’s match. The Mermaids were able to pick up a very much needed victory, and it now looks like they'll be a solid mid-tier contender for the Cup. Maraqua has shown that they can consistently beat the teams they're predicted to beat, whereas Shenkuu, on the contrary, has consistently lost to teams they had chances to beat. Shenkuu has fallen tremendously, but could a surprising turn around be in order once again?

The Scaries of Terror Mountain continued their surprising dominant run with another huge victory over Virtupets. The Scaries grabbed three of the four games against the Robots, including Yooyuball. Terror Mountain looks as good as Altador and Tyrannia at this point in the Cup. The Scaries have had a dramatic turnaround and look to be in form to actually win the Cup! Yes, I said Terror Mountain looks poised to win the Cup. If they continue their dominance, we could see them on the podium this year.

That concludes the Alabriss bracket. I promised rock dinner tonight, so I must be going. She is really excited. I'll send it to Matt! Stay classy, Neopia.

Thanks, Austin! Hello, everyone! This is Matt reporting to you from the newsroom with the results from the Minitheus Bracket! We only had one sweep yesterday to report. Let's get going!

Haunted Woods took on Kreludor for the second time this week. Previously, Haunted Woods was able to take Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown while the Moons took the remaining side games. However, yesterday the Moons took it up a notch, and they were on fire throughout the entire game, which is theoretically impossible since there is no oxygen in space and therefore there can not be a fire and...what? I'm being told to stop rambling on so let's get straight to the point! Kreludor was able to dominate Yooyuball yesterday, and the Zombies’ efforts to catch up were unsuccessful as the Moons edged ahead to take the win. The victory propelled the Moons to claim the remaining side games, cleanly sweeping Haunted Woods. Despite having won last year, Kreludor doesn't seem to be affected much by the winner’s curse. They've had a consistent year so far, and if they are able to keep this up, they have a chance at staying near the top tiers.

In the second match-up for this bracket we had Darigan Citadel against Brightvale. Riding high after their side game victory against Altador, the Wizards were able to conjure up their magic and take Yooyuball from the Minions. The Wizards weren't going to stop there, however, as their fans cheered their hearts out, drowning out the Citadel's supporters. The Citadel wasn't going to go out without a fight as they won Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown from Brightvale. We'll see how Brightvale does in the upcoming days, and if they'll be able to rise upward in their bracket. As for the Citadel, they need to get their act together. With only three total wins in this bracket so far, they need to do better if they want to have a spot on the podium once again.

Last but definitely not least, we have the match with the most buzz, Altador versus Roo Island!

Both teams looked very well coming into yesterday's match. Altador was able to shut the Roos out for most of the game, ending the game with a score of nine to six in Altador's favor. The Suns were also able to take Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise, but the Roos were able to take Shootout Showdown. This is only Altador's second loss of the season in any game so far. They were clearly able to demonstrate who the dominant team was between the two, and hopefully we'll get to see who the dominant team is between the Suns and Tyrannia. The Roos have to be careful today, as their opponent Brightvale will definitely cause an upset if they aren’t.

Now let's turn this over to Katie!

Thanks, Matt! I'm your co-anchor, Katie, with the complete results of the final bracket. Wow, the Vaeolus bracket is really starting to heat up! All three match-ups yesterday resulted in clean sweeps for Tyrannia, Krawk Island, and the Lost Desert. Tyrannia and Krawk Island continue to dominate this round and the former is still altogether undefeated. The Lost Desert had their best showing since the start of the tournament, taking down Mystery Island to achieve it.

The Fossils took easy victories against the Faeries, winning by at least a four-point margin in all games. Team Faerieland took the losses in stride as they always do. Faerieland's captain, Kakoni Worrill, commended the fans' good sportsmanship throughout the match. Even though Tyrannia had the advantage, he continued, maintaining a positive attitude was the single most important outcome for the team. Worrill concluded with an optimistic outlook toward their match-up today with Mystery Island, in hopes that the Faeries could win some games. Tyrannia, however, has a remarkable determination to get onto the winner's podium. As Altador and Roo Island are now set back by losses, the Fossils are pulling ahead for a gold trophy.

Unfortunately, Team Moltara was unable to monopolize on their momentum going into the match-up with Krawk Island. Moltara's tag-teaming duo of Aldric Beign and Tulah Kisner found great difficulty in hurling the Yooyus past the Pirates' goalkeeper, Garven Hale. Though Beign and Kisner lost some steam during the match, they fought valiantly until the end. Losing by only a one-point margin, Team Moltara has nothing to be ashamed of -- especially against powerhouse Krawk Island. As for the Pirates, they have maintained a tight grip on the bracket so far. It seems that their only challenge this round is Tyrannia, who swept them at their first meeting. Is Krawk Island a candidate to halt the Fossils' undefeated streak? Who knows! Moltara and Krawk Island are playing again today, so the Magmas have a chance to redeem themselves for a victory.

The Lost Desert had their best turnout so far against Mystery Island, sweeping the board with a margin of one point in all four games. Mystery Island's captain, Volgoth, continues to elude our reporters for comment on their performance this season. With no wins so far this round, the Natives need to step up their game in order to prevent themselves from falling toward the bottom of the standings. As for the Lost Desert, their performance in this round alone has improved drastically! With only three losses, the Mummies are regulating their game strategies efficiently, with Captain Leera Heggle stressing the importance of precise changes as they take on the undefeated Team Tyrannia today. We'll have to see if this move works for the Lost Desert!

That's it for the Vaeolus bracket results. Now we'll send it back to Matt for the matches that are sure to stir up fan fervor today!

Thanks Katie! Now let's finish this off with our matches to watch!

A match to watch today will be Brightvale against Roo Island! After Brightvale's upset against Altador and Darigan Citadel, the Wizards will be looking to further their success against another powerhouse team this year. Will the Roos be able to stop the Wizards or will the Wizards get the better of them?

Another interesting match-up to watch today will be Faerieland versus Mystery Island. Both are underdog teams that haven't been doing very well this year. After their second-place finish last year, Mystery Island dropped to the very bottom again. Will the Faeries be able to defeat the Natives, or will Mystery Island pull off an upset?

For our last match to watch today, we head over to the Alabriss bracket where old rivals Meridell and Maraqua will be going head-to-head today. Meridell has been doing very well this year, and with an overall standing of third place, they have a chance to be on the podium once again. Maraqua, the weaker team in this match-up, will be looking to pull off some upsets.

This is it for today! Tune in tomorrow for our next report! This is Matt signing off!

Hello all, this is Cra-I mean Austin and I am live from Alabam-Altador. I'm sorry to all, my memory is still a little fuzzy, and since Livvy ran away from me last night, I have a rock as a cameraman now. I know I'm a lot to handle, but I can't believe she just walked out. I... I just want...wanted to be hap-py. (He begins to sob, then sing.) Baby come back, any kind of fool could see, there was something in everything about you. Baby come back, you can blame it all on me. I was wrong, and I just can't live without you.

[screen cuts to blankness for a few minutes before returning to the original scene.]

Ahem - We are back live. I apologize for my break down earlier. Times are difficult right now. I have results from the Alabriss Bracket once again, as its are the only ones I can remember.

    The Scary Terro-

    Camerawoman: It's Terror Mountain.

Ooooooh, I se- Wait, you're a rock! Rocks can't talk!

I must be delusional still. As I was saying, Terror Mountain beat Shenkuu yesterday in dominating fashion yet again. The Scaries were able to once again put up huge numbers. Shenkuu was unable to keep up, except in Shootout Showdown, which was the only game they were able to take away from the Scaries. The Ninjas look to rebound, but there isn't much time left for them.

The Bouncies rebounded really well today, taking Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger from the Mermaids. Maraqua continued their side-game dominance, though, as they pulled off wins in the last two games. They have now won at least two of the side games in eight of their twelve games so far this year. The only thing holding Maraqua back is their poor Yooyuball record. Of the twelve matches played, the Mermaids have only managed three Yooyuball wins. If Maraqua plans on staying in the upper half of the standings, they'll need to change things quickly.

Meri... Mira... Meridial... The Knights lost in a tightly contested match to the Robots last night. Virtupets pulled away late in Yooyuball to pick up another nice Yooyuball win. The Knights have been susceptible to upsets this year, and yet again showed so last night. While they did pull off wins in Shootout Showdown and Make Some Noise, the Knights need as many points as they can get. Virtupets will try to garner momentum off of this win. In fact, they could make a late jump in the standings to compete for a top 8 spot.

Call the hounds! Send them after Livvy! Let's do this for Austin! (sigh) The drama that happens when I'm not here.

Anyways, hello, everyone! This is Matt reporting to you from the newsroom. The results from the Minitheus bracket have just come in and the results are surprising, to say the least! None of the teams in the bracket were able to obtain a clean sweep, and since Altador is in this bracket, I think you all know what this means! Well, let's get right to it.

In our first match yesterday we had Haunted Woods against Kreludor. Now Kreludor, statistics-wise, has been the stronger team between the two, but that didn't hinder the Haunted Woods' morale as they took the field by storm, shocking all spectators as they were able to dominate the first half of Yooyuball. The Moons weren't going out peacefully, however. During the second half the Moons were able to bounce back, but a surprise goal with a Darigan Yooyu sealed the deal for the Haunted Woods as they were able to claim Yooyuball from the Moons in a close score of five to four. The Zombies were also able to claim Shootout Showdown from the Moons, an amazing feat, although Kreludor was able to bounce back and claim Slushie Slinger and Make Some Noise. The Haunted Woods has been doing fairly well this year. Will they be able to keep up this good momentum?

On the other side of the Colosseum, Darigan Citadel and Roo Island were pitted against each other. The Roos are also a team that has been doing very well this year, and their performance definitely shone today in their match against the Minions. The Roos were able to dominate the whole game, and despite the Minions’ best efforts, Yooyuball went to the Roos with a score of five to seven. The Roos were also able to take Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown from the Citadel, but the Citadel was able to take Slushie Slinger, and add another loss to Roo Island's near spotless record. The Roos have been showing no sign of slowing down, and although they've suffered a few losses, they're still at full force and they look to be a contender for the podium and even the Cup. Now if they could only ditch Altador, their chances would be much greater. As for the Minions, they've been placed in two tough brackets now, and it seems like they might be losing steam. They need to get their act together if they want to have any chance at being on the podium once again.

Now the match you've all been waiting for! Altador versus Brightvale! Everybody was shocked today as Brightvale managed to take a win from Altador in Slushie Slinger. Brightvale was on fire today as they were slinging slushies like crazy! Altador wasn't able to keep up with the demand! Altador's perfect record now has a blemish on it, and Tyrannia is the only team that still hasn't lost in a game. Altador was able to take Yooyuball, Make Some Noise, and Shootout Showdown easily as Brightvale focused on the slushies. How will this loss affect Altador? Will it bring down morale, or will it motivate the Suns to play even harder? Altador still remains in first place in their bracket, but we'll see in a few days what happens with this team.

I guess this is it for me! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go see if Austin is all right. Let's turn it over to Katie!

Good luck with Austin, Matt! Embarking on that endeavor is quite brave of you... right, this is Katie with the rest of the match-ups from yesterday! Last, but certainly not least, the Vaeolus bracket! Two sweeps occurred yesterday for powerhouses Tyrannia and Krawk Island, while Moltara and the Lost Desert split two games apiece.

Both Krawk Island and Tyrannia are looking strong as the Altador Cup heads into the early third round of play, taking down Teams Faerieland and Mystery Island respectively to end the day with two sweeps each under their belts so far. After Brightvale's spectacular Slushie Slinger win over Altador, Tyrannia remains the only team to be completely undefeated. The Fossils are endeavoring to keep their streak alive, but after Altador's loss, they may be the next target to cause an upset against. As long as Tyrannia stays grounded, they'll continue to do well this season. The Krawk Island crew's hard work has paid off this round and they're recuperating much-needed points. Garven Hale's save percentage increased after yesterday's Yooyuball match, which is especially crucial as the halfway point approaches. Keeping an eye on the treasure, in the form of a podium trophy, should be their mantra of motivation.

Moltara had a highly successful day against the Lost Desert, taking Yooyuball and Shootout Showdown from the Mummies. Forwards Aldric Beign and Tulah Kisner tag-teamed on offense, leading the Lost Desert crew by one point the entire game. With a graceful move on Kisner's part, a Faerie Yooyu sailed past Leera Heggle with less than a second left in the match. When asked to comment on their victory, Beign praised Kisner's buzzer beater shot and their impeccable teamwork. He assured Moltara's fans that they were not letting the victory go to their heads and were preparing for the next match with their renowned humility. As for the Lost Desert, they've been garnering more wins as of late. Although it has been a slow climb, they haven't let their prior losses bury them. There's still more time to improve for both teams!

That's it for me today. Let's go back to Matt for the most anticipated match-ups!

Thanks, Katie! Hello, everyone! This is Matt again. It seems like Austin has calmed down, so I'll be doing the matches to watch!

The match that has all the buzz today is Altador against Roo Island! After being in the same bracket many times, these two teams finally get to face against each other. Altador, with their recent loss hanging over their heads, will be looking to beat Roo Island today. The Roos, however, will be looking to add a few more losses to Altador's record. We'll see which team comes out on top tonight!

Over in the Alabriss bracket, Meridell will be going head-to-head with Kiko Lake. The Kikos will be looking to move upward in their bracket, while Meridell will be trying to maintain their current position as first. This will certainly be an interesting match to watch today.

And last but not least, also from the Alabriss bracket, we have Terror Mountain versus Virtupets. Both teams are known to have caused some upsets this year, but we'll see how these two teams actually do against each other.

This is it! This is Matt from The Daily Neopets signing off.

    Camerawoman: Um, Austin, it's Terror.

Ahhh I see. We had Scary Terror playing against the bouncy things. The games were some of the highest scoring in the Cup so far, as we saw the Terrors beat out the Bouncies by a five point margin. The Terrors have been on a terrific roll as of late and look almost unstoppable. The Slushie Slinger game was the most intense contest we've seen yet. The Bouncies bounced out eight points in the game, but couldn't win, as the Terrors used their scary magic to make the slushies sling like never before. Scary Terror is looking great, and if they keep it up they could be a mid-Cup dark horse.

The floating spaceship thing's team won against the Waterville Mermaids. The Watervillers were able to pull a side sweep, though. The Mermaids held the Spacemen to a season low one point in "shoot ball at jelly looking thing game."

    Camerawoman: You mean Shootout Showdown?

Yes, you're right! Shootdown Showout was won in impressive fashion by the Watervillers.

Camerawoman: That's Maraqua, Twothirds. The space team is Virtupets.

Right, my apologies to Maraqua and Virtupets. Maraqua continues their hot streak in the side games, but on the contrary, Virtupets continues to look well in Yooyuball, but bad in side games. Only time will tell if this hurts or helps either team.

The Knights look good, and currently sit in third place overall. If they continue winning, they could have a shot at the whole Cup.

Camerawoman: There's the button! Come on Twothirds, time for your pills. Katie, can you please take this?

    Stay Neopia, classy!

"This is Katie reporting live in the newsroom. Thank you for your riveting report, Austin, and Livvy, your patience is commendable! Our dedicated staff are determined to get you the latest Altador Cup news, even if it kills them! I'm your sole news anchor for today, so let's get to those brackets results!

First up, the Minitheus bracket. Altador continues its undefeated streak by besting Darigan Citadel, Brightvale takes Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger against Kreludor, and Haunted Woods scares up two wins against powerhouse Roo Island. Pretty spooky, huh?

The Suns are virtually unstoppable with their 11-0 record in all four games. Not even Darigan Citadel could touch their perfect record! It should be noted that the Minions kept the Suns at bay with only 2 or 3 point margins, which is definitely some hard work to marvel at.

The Brightvale-Kreludor and Haunted Woods-Roo Island matches ended up garnering two wins for each team. Brightvale won Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger, while Kreludor took Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. The former has been doing well lately, but they still remain behind Kreludor in the standings. As for Roo Island, they won Yooyuball and Make Some Noise, and the Haunted Woods were able to take Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown. The Zombies handed the Rooligans their first loss in Shootout Showdown -- Roo Island has finally been defeated at least once in every game. Roo Island's Lilo Blumario dismissed any notions of the team becoming demoralized, but hinted at making adjustments to their strategy for their future matches -- he reckons that they are still in the running for a spot at the podium.

Next bracket! The Vaeolus bracket almost claimed three full sweeps yesterday: Tyrannia and Krawk Island swept Moltara and Mystery Island, respectively, while Faerieland snagged a win in Slushie Slinger against the Lost Desert.

Tyrannia and Krawk Island continue to dominate the field, as shown by their tenacity in yesterday's matches. The Fossils remain undefeated in every game and seem undaunted by any team that crosses paths with them -- their margins of victory are rather consistent and it shows. As for Krawk Island, their morale has been bolstered with the sweep over Mystery Island. It should be noted that Garven Hale's crooked grin reemerged after the match, which had been previously replaced with a brooding look. The Pirates will seek to rebound in their future match-ups and the outlook certainly seems good.

The Lost Desert had much success against Faerieland, taking three out of the four games. Slushie Slinger went to the Faeries, who now have three wins for the season, and is currently their best game. The Mummies definitely needed this boost after a poor start to the tournament, but it seems they have finally gotten their feet out of all that quicksand! The match-up was very close and both teams worked hard for their wins.

Stay tuned for today's matches! The Darigan Citadel-Roo Island match-up, along with the Haunted Woods-Kreludor and Meridell-Virtupets matches, will prove to be very exciting! Powerhouse Roo Island has been faltering as of late, while Darigan Citadel has kept up its usual strength -- can Darigan Citadel defeat the Rooligans? Haunted Woods and Kreludor will be fighting to maintain the middle position of their bracket, while Meridell has to contend with the Robots if they wish to stay at the top.

This has been your ever-effervescent news staff bringing you another rousing Altador Cup report! We'll see you all right here again tomorrow! This is Katie wishing you all to stay safe from any stray explosions!"

Good morning Neopia! I'm TDN reporter Craig, and I'm here in Altador, or what I think is Altador. Honestly, since the accident I can barely remember my name!

Camerawoman: Austin, hon. Your name is Austin.

Wait, really? I like Craig better. Whatever. Hey all, it's Austin reporting live from Altador, and we have some excitement from yesterday's games. The only thing I can really remember clearly is the results from the Alabriss Bracket because all the games were so late last night. First we had Scary Mounta-

The team with the old lady Neopet won yesterday. The Oldies beat the-

Camerawoman: Before you make yourself sound even dumber, the Meridell Knights beat the Shenkuu Ninjas.

Meri... Mardi... Meridial... How do you expect me to say that?

    Camerawoman: Just say Knights.

The Knights beat the Ninjas last night with a terrific showing in Yooyuball. The Ninjas grabbed Slushies Slinger from the Knights, but couldn't rebound in any of the other games. The Knights turned day into night with-

Camerawoman: Just stop, please. Where is the off button?

    You stop. I'm funny.

Gosh, it's like you're that editor Livvy or something. Not wanting me to have fun. Too bad she's only one-third the fun I am.

Camerawoman: I am Livvy, you- UGH. Why am I even filming you?

Good morning, Neopia! This is Austin, reporting live from my hospital bed. I'm really not sure how I ended up here, but I have some results from yesterday for you. We'll first start with the Alabriss bracket, where we saw some terrific matches with some unexpected results.

Tyrannia continued rocking the competition with another sweep of Virtupets. The Fossils showed up strong again in all the side games, as they scored double digits in all of them. Tyrannia also impressed on the Yooyuball fields by putting together a beautiful eight to four victory over the Robots. Tyrannia looks like they're a definite contender for the Cup. By winning their bracket, Tyrannia could almost lock up a top tier spot this season.

Kreludor looked as dominant as ever yesterday by ousting the Ninjas of Shenkuu. The Moons put up solid numbers and won three of the four games. Kreludor was able to lock up a late win on the Yoouball fields when Qyldae Wegg put a magnificent shot into the net with just over a minute left in the game. Shenkuu, on the other hand, took a nice victory away from the Moons in the penalty kicks by winning Shootout Showdown six to five. Kreludor doesn't seem to be greatly affected by the winners curse so far this season.

In the biggest upset of the bracket yesterday, we saw Darigan Citadel dominate Krawk Island. The Minions were able to put together their most impressive victory thus far, by taking three of four from the second place team in the bracket. The Minions grabbed a well fought victory from the grasps of the Pirates with a game-winning goal from Layton Vickles. The Pirates were only able to loot Darigan Citadel in Shootout Showdown. Darigan Citadel is showing some resilience as of late, winning their past two games handily after losing to kreludor.

Now, it's time for me to take my meds, so I'll send it to Matt in the studio.

Thanks Austin, get well soon! This is Matt reporting to you from the newsroom where the results of the Minitheus bracket have just come in.

In the match between Altador and Mystery Island yesterday, there was no surprise as Altador completely dominated the field, giving no chance for the Natives to catch up. Altador easily won Yooyuball and continued to show their dominance by taking the remaining side game for a clean sweep.

Maraqua and Lost Desert faced off yesterday, and while our analytical experts were expecting the Mummies to take a few side games, the Mermaids were able to shut them out, taking Yooyuball, and also winning the remaining side games. The Mermaids have had an on and off season this year, but if they can keep this momentum up, they might be able to repeat some of their stronger performance from years past.

In what is the upset of the day, Terror Mountain was able to take Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger from Roo Island, a team who has been doing very well this year so far. Roo Island was able to bounce back however and claim the two remaining side games.

Now let's turn it over to Austin once again!

Hey guys! It's your favorite pal, Austin, with more results. First, we have breaking news. Reb Weemalott is being investigated for an explosion that sent a reporter to the hospital yesterday morning. More details will come in later, but that reporter must not be very smart to get in the way of Reb Weemalott.

Now, let's get into the Vaeolus Bracket. There was no lack of excitement in the Kiko Lake/Haunted Woods matchup. The Haunties were able to take Yooyuball and Make Some Noise away from the Kikos. The Zombies are looking very impressive as we close out the second round, and could be a team to watch out for near the end of the Cup. The Kikos have done the exact opposite, though, as they have fallen hard after having an early lead in the first round.

Brightvale put up huge numbers yesterday against Moltara by winning three games. Moltara took Shootout Showdown away from the Wizards, but couldn't keep up in any of the other games. Brightvale has been very inconsistent in this Cup, but continue to put up surprising victories. If they can pull together, they could be poised to make a run for the top tier, if not the podium.

Meridell rebounded well after losing Yooyuball to Brightvale with a sweep of the Faeries. Meridell continues to stay strong down the stretch, as they're still on the top of their bracket. If Meridell can hold on, the points advantage for them would be huge and could potentially boost them into a podium spot this year. On the contrary, the Faeries will try to regroup and prevent another last place finish. It should be exciting to see how these two teams develop as the Cup continues.

With today being a bye day, the matches to watch will be exciting!

Will the Make Some Noise Techo be able to relax for one day, or will he go absolutely insane without Yooyuball? Will he be walking down Altador Alley shouting at vendors and cheering customers on? Find out today!

The Altadorian guards will have another troublesome day looking for the trespasser that entered the Colosseum before the Cup and then broke out of jail. With it being a break day, more people are expected to be out on the streets today. This will make finding the culprit very difficult. We'll see if they can find him!

We'll also find out about the status of the stupid reporter that got in the way of Reb We-

    Cameraman: Sir, that was you...

    What!? Was it!? Oh...

I mean, we'll find out the status of the dashingly good-looking, smart, and all-around great reporter that everyone loves, who was sent to the hospital after he saved many young children from an explosion yesterday. His heroic actions deserve to be talked about for ages to come.

With all that said, it's come time for my sponge bath. Until tomorrow, Neopia, stay classy!

Hello and welcome everybody! This is Matt, reporting from the newsroom. I have the results from the Alabriss bracket here so let's get right to it.

Tyrannia and Kreludor faced off against each other yesterday, and not even the Moons were able to stop the Fossils from getting another sweep as Tyrannia clearly dominated the match.

The bracket's other matches pitted Darigan Citadel against Shenkuu and Krawk Island against Virtupets, and also ended in sweeps, with Darigan Citadel and Krawk Island sweeping Shenkuu and Virtupets respectively. The Minions seem to be out of their slump, but it remains to be seen whether they will they be able to hold their ground against Krawk Island, as the Pirates have been performing just as well.

Well that's it for the Alabriss bracket. If this seemed short to you, I'm sorry. I have to do something called "sleep" now. You guys have probably never heard of it, with your impressive ranks, but you should try it sometime. Now let's turn it over to Katie!

Thanks, Matt! Sleep tight, don't let those Mutant Yooyus bite! Onto the results: Altador and Roo Island continue to dominate in the Minitheus bracket with clean sweeps. Terror Mountain continues their own success with a stunning 9-4 Yooyuball win against Mystery Island, taking Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown as well!

Both Altador and Roo Island are enjoying their undefeated streaks in the second round so far. Yesterday, while Altador had a comfortable lead on the Mummies, the Roo Island-Maraqua match was a bit closer. Maraqua managed to put up a good fight, but ultimately fell to the Rooligans in all four games. Across the stadium, despite their valiant efforts, the Mummies still seemed to have their feet stuck in the quicksand -- a situation the Suns didn't hesitate to take advantage of. Can Altador and Roo Island maintain their undefeated streaks through to the end of the round? Only time will tell.

Terror Mountain repeated its Yooyuball strategy for the second day in a row with much success -- the fans have been quite ecstatic lately! Prytariel has been receiving much encouragement and praise from her fellow players and fans alike and has also raised her goals-per-game average significantly in the last few days alone. This newfound strength almost gave the Chillers a clean sweep, only dropping Slushie Slinger to the Islanders. Volgoth of Mystery Island continues to evade comment on their recent Yooyuball performance. At least the Mystery Island fans got to cool off with their Slushie Slinger win!

That's it for the Minitheus bracket! Let's go live to Austin with our field coverage.

Good morning, folks, this is your favorite reporter, Austin, reporting to you live from a tailgating party with fans of team Brightvale. Though Brightvale isn't winning their bracket, the fans are excited about this year. The team is looking fairly impressive so far this year, and is staying alive in their bracket by sitting in third place. The Wizards showed their rivals from the east, Meridell, a difficult time on the fields yesterday. Brightvale had their most impressive victory of the season by edging out the Knights five to four. While the Knights managed to take a side sweep away, Brightvale taking Yooyuball looks like it could swing the momentum of the bracket. Though Meridell is in first, the Wizards have shown tremendous improvement from previous years thus far and look now to compete for the top spot in the bracket.

Now joining us, we have Reb Weemelott, the Wizard's right forward, to discuss how he believes his team is playing.

Reb, the team seems to be playing at a pretty high level this year. Who do you credit for that?
Awww mans, John, ya gotta credit the fans for this. They been great tah us an' give us the motivat'n tah keep goin'.

You guys had a terrific showing last night against the Knights of Meridell. What are your thoughts on the game?
Lemme show you what I think, John.

[Reb pulls a cart from around the corner. The cart has a giant wooden sign with a Meridell logo on it]

    Ya see this, John. Watch.

[Reb pulls a kid from the tailgating party and hands him a remote control with a button on it]

Now, kid, whats ya gots tah do here is jus' press that there button, okay?

This doesn't seem like a good id-
    [The kid presses the button]

Wait... Are you INSANE!? EVERYONE GET DOWN!

[The sign explodes and the screen turns black]

Uh... Austin? Is everything okay? Austin! AUSTIN! What the--

[The television screen error appears momentarily, after which the image cuts to the newsroom.]

Sorry for the interruption, folks! It appears we've had a, errrr, mishap occur with Austin's feed. We'll be sure to let you know when it's fixed! For now, we'll finish the results here in the newsroom.

Haunted Woods took the only sweep of the Vaeolus bracket, outdoing Moltara in all four games. The Zombies' own Zo Junior showed just how speedy he was, netting most of the goals scored in the match-up. It has also been reported that Krell Vitor, the captain of Haunted Woods, had to admonish "Brains" Mortigan for nibbling on Moltara's Zax Bannet between goals. Unfortunately, Moltara didn't have enough steam to combat the Zombies this time around.

Oh! Exciting news! Faerieland nearly took a clean sweep against Kiko Lake, winning Yooyuball, Make Some Noise, and Shootout Showdown! The Faeries were overjoyed with their incredible performance and hope to continue that momentum into their next match. Kiko Lake was looking to improve their current standing, but fell short overall. They remain ahead of Faerieland in the standings, however, they haven't had much success with Yooyuball in this round. Once again, congratulations to Faerieland and their stellar near-sweep!

On a final note, here are the matches to watch out for:

Former champions Krawk Island and Darigan Citadel will be duking it out in the Alabriss bracket. This match is guaranteed to be thrilling! Either team can take the victory here.

Additionally, the Terror Mountain-Roo Island match-up is one to take note of. With Terror Mountain's improving performance and Roo Island's unstoppable victories, this will prove whether or not the latter can maintain their win streaks.

On behalf of Austin, this is Katie saying goodbye until tomorrow!

Good morning, Neopia! This is Austin, and I am live from the fields this morning after a terrific set of games yesterday. The Vaeolus Bracket proved to be a wild card, as every team was able to get at least one win. The lack of sweeps, though rare for the Cup, was not rare for the bracket. Each team has been competitive so far and they look to close the bracket out strong.

First we saw Meridell take on Kiko Lake in what looked to be a good game. Meridell was able to pull the wins away from the Kikos in Yooyuball, Make Some Noise, and Shootout Showdown. Kiko Lake was able to snag Slushie Slinger from the Knights. Kiko Lake has been a good middle-of-the-pack contender so far this year, with Meridell pushing for a podium spot. If Kiko Lake can string together a pair of good wins in the final few days of the bracket, they could very well be competing for a top spot as well.

Haunted Woods continues to surprise by pulling off another great win over Brightvale. The Haunties pulled away in Yooyuball with a game winning goal by star Zo Junior. They also had the penalty kicks looking really good, as they also gathered a win in Shootout Showdown. The Zombies also pulled a nice Slushie Slinger win over the Wizards. Brightvale, on the other hand, was too loud for the Zombies, winning Make Some Noise. Zo Junior was honored after the game with a dedication trophy for his many years of hard work for the team.

Moltara proved to be too hot to handle yesterday with a nice win over Faerieland. The Magmas pulled together to get their most impressive victory of the season by winning three of the four games, including Yooyuball. The fight between two of the lowest ranking teams in recent history was an entertaining match, but Faerieland couldn't keep up. The Faeries dropped another very close game. The team is gathering together this morning to fix problems they have. Team Captain, Kakoni Worrill, was caught saying this morning that "these close games we keep losing really start to get to you after a while. We're going to have a meeting today to sort everything out, and hopefully we can get on the right track."

The Vaeolus Bracket looks like it's going to be an amazing sight to see until the end. Haunted Woods and Meridell are fighting for the top spot right now, and it appears to be within reach for both of them. These next few days will be monumental for each team if they want to win. This is definitely the bracket to watch over the next few days. Now, let's send it to Matt in the studio. Have a terrific day, everyone, and stay classy.

Thanks, Austin! Hello, everyone! This is Matt reporting from our newsroom with the results from the Alabriss bracket.

In what was probably the most exciting match yesterday, we saw Tyrannia and Krawk Island go against each other. Krawk Island was looking to do what Darigan Citadel could not do, and that was to put some losses on Tyrannia's record. Krawk Island was no match for Tyrannia as the Fossils were able to dominate the whole match, taking Yooyuball. The Fossils were able to prevent any red marks on their record as they cleanly swept the Pirates in the remaining games. Tyrannia seems to be an unstoppable force as of right now, sweeping Darigan Citadel and Krawk Island; the only team at this point who has a chance against them is Altador.

Darigan Citadel and Kreludor went head to head yesterday as well. This was their first time facing each other, despite being in the same first round brackets. The Minions were looking to rebound after their loss against Tyrannia. Kreludor was able to score goals right at the start of the match, and despite the Citadel's best efforts, the team wasn't able to stop the Moons from winning in Yooyuball. The Moons were also able to take Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown from the Minions, a surprise considering how well the Citadel looked to be doing. The Citadel has to bounce back, and fast, if they hope to have any chance at taking the podium once again.

For our last matchup of this bracket, we saw the underdogs Shenkuu and Virtupets face off. Virtupets continued their strategy from the previous days as they gave it their all at Yooyuball. The Ninjas weren't able to keep up, and as a result the Robots took Yooyuball. The Ninjas were able to rebound from that loss by taking the remaining side games. We'll see if Virtupets can keep this tactic up in the days to come.

Now let's head over to a new face in the newsroom, Katie, as she reports the results from the Minitheus bracket.

Excited to be here, Matt! Let's skip the introduction, shall we? We've got some exciting news to cover! For those living under a rock, the highlights of the Minitheus bracket include Altador and Roo Island earning clean sweeps across the board! Terror Mountain also defeated Maraqua by a large margin in Yooyuball; how cool!

After eight days of play, Altador is still undefeated in all four games. Amazing! Mystery Island took a turn at throwing the Yooyus past the Suns' goalie yesterday, to no avail. Altador's forwards took the early lead, handling the Snow and Fire Yooyus with finesse. The Darigan Yooyus were a particular menace for the Islanders, who spent a vast majority of the time chasing those purple mavericks around the field. By the time Teylor Nix managed to take control of the situation, the clock had run out. Mystery Island's captain, Volgoth, declined to answer any questions about the mishap. Altador had no trouble taking their eighth consecutive sweep, as the Islanders faltered in the side games as well.

The second sweep of the day goes to Roo Island. Meeting for the second time in the bracket, the Rooligans were able to repeat their success against the Lost Desert. Roo Island's captain, Lilo Blumario, continued to show how effective his game strategy was. The Mummies were unable to rally back from their poor start to the match, leaving Roo Island to take the victory with a comfortable lead. Dismayed by their Yooyuball loss, the Mummies were unable to bolster their side games for any points. Chin up, Lost Desert! Don't let your morale sink into quicksand!

Terror Mountain and Maraqua battled it out to take two games apiece. This was an intense match for players and supporters alike. While the players fought over the Yooyus, the fans fought for the loudest team chants! Prytariel led the scoreboard with her superb goals-per-game average, breaking open the large lead. Team Maraqua just couldn't keep up with her lightning-fast passes! At least the fans didn't seem too shaken by the wide margin, as Maraqua snagged Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. In addition to Yooyuball, Terror Mountain took Slushie Slinger to round out their victories.

Exciting, wasn't it!? Now, let's turn things back over to Matt!

Thanks, Katie! Now let's wrap this report up with our matches to watch.

From the Alabriss bracket we have Tyrannia against Kreludor. After their wins against Darigan Citadel, the Moons will be looking to make a dent on Tyrannia's still spotless record. However unlikely, if they can focus their energy into a few games, they might be able to pull off an upset.

From the Minitheus bracket Lost Desert and Altador will be facing each other today. Altador is one of only two teams that still have a perfect record, and the Mummies will be looking to put a stop to their sweeps. Will the former champions be able to defeat Altador? All will be revealed tonight.

I guess this wraps up our report for today. This is Matt from The Daily Neopets signing out. See you next time.
