Whew! Terror Mountain really lucked out on this final bracket! Oddly enough, we are no longer with our buddy, Maraqua. However, we do have Lost Desert (whom we're facing today), Faerieland, Kiko Lake, Brightvale and Altador. We're DEFINITELY not gonna beat out AL for that top spot but we certainly can outrank the other four and scoop up some big points. :D
YES! No more Tyrannia (or Altador, for that matter)! But we've still got Roo Island, though I'd rather have them than those two.

I was thinking the same thing! We're #4 overall when it comes to win-loss records thanks to our string of YYB victories. With this system, we're definitely not going to get onto that podium this year. However, depending upon our final bracket, we could break our record for highest placement ever (8th in AC6). I think we can place above any team except Roo Island and of course, Altador and Tyrannia. Then hopefully next year we can have a strong performance from the start and actually contend for a top spot.
Now its obvious how much Tyrannia is cheating. 23 IN SS? That's unthinkable. If TNT is so freaking blind and doesn't notice it OR doesnt do anything about it, then this could be the most unfair AC ever... (Not counting AC I)
Well the big surprise for me is Terror Mountain's incredible comeback. We spent the first bracket-and-a-half amassing a dismal record but ever since that second match with Maraqua.....

I just realized: this means RI is the only team to have beaten Tyrannia (unless KL can take a game today, which I wouldn't put it past them to do)! Feel proud, fellow Rooligans! Poor Altador. I hope they get a rematch next bracket; I'd love to see them take some games next time.
Not sure where you're getting those numbers from; my scoreboard shows we lost 10-8. We lost Slushie Slinger 9-6. We spread ourselves too thin yesterday, with different people focusing on each of 3 games, thus losing them all. (Also, why is this a "correction"? It mentions we won SoSd last time, but clearly says we were swept yesterday.)
I can't wait to see the results of Altador-Tyrannia. I'm rooting for the Suns, I think (sorry, legit Tyrannia players).
This proves that Tyrannia will not win all their matches :shiftyeyes_anim: But it will most likely be a one time loss like this. Unless Altador can crank in a few against Tyrannia.
after all that I'm seeing this year, I'm questioning whether or not I want to join the AC next year. it's sad and pathetic that every single team is being accused of being cheaters as a whole when they have a good day. it's just like stereotyping in real life. sure, there will always be someone that lives up to that stereotype.. but that doesn't mean that every single person is going to be like that. all we're doing with the cheating accusations is irritating the people that are legitimate hard players. we've turned our support threads into threads in which everyone is sniping at and accusing each other. these arguments are total killjoys and they need to stop!
Hello and welcome, everybody! The fourth round is well underway, and there has been tons of action on the field! This is Matt reporting to you from the newsroom with my co-anchor Katie, and our field reporter Austin, who apparently has broken out of jail with explosives again. Never mind him - the results from the Alabriss Bracket have just come in, and the whole bracket is full of sweeps!
Yesterday, Kreludor and Maraqua took on underdogs Moltara and Faerieland respectively. The results were predictable as Kreludor and Maraqua both were able to dominate the underdogs with clean sweeps in all games. We have a live interview with Derlyn Fonnet, left defender for team Kreludor, at the end of the segment!
Darigan Citadel and the Scary Terrors faced off yesterday. The Citadel has been the stronger team this year, but that didn't stop the Scary Terrors from shutting the Citadel out, rounding out the Alabriss Bracket with a third sweep. The Citadel's scores have not been up to par recently, and they seem to be losing motivation. Terror Mountain took advantage of this and passed the Citadel, climbing to second while the Citadel fell to third. The Citadel needs to find a way to boost their morale. Every day that they don't, the podium gets further away.
Now, let's go to our interview with Derlyn Fonnet of Team Kreludor!
Hi, Derlyn! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to be interviewed! I know you're busy so I'll make this quick! You've been in the same bracket as Darigan Citadel for the whole Cup, yet you've only faced them once. During that encounter you were able to come out on top, winning all of the games except Slushie Slinger. How do you think you're going to do tomorrow?
Derlyn: I'm feeling great about our chances against the Citadel! We're all fired up after our sweep against Moltara! We're hoping to carry some of that energy out into the field with us!
Currently you guys are at the top of your bracket, and fourth place in the total standings. How good do you think your chances are at placing on the podium?
Derlyn: We've been doing relatively good this year! We also don't seem to be affected by the winner’s curse as much as previous teams, so that's a bonus! With Tyrannia and Altador dominating, I think we'll have a good chance at third. Now if you'll excuse me, we have to go start practicing for our match!

Thanks, Matt -- this is your ever-effervescent co-anchor, Katie, with the results for the Minitheus Bracket! Yesterday's match-ups did not disappoint! Virtupets and the Haunted Woods played a fairly close match, with the former taking Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger. Brightvale followed suit and clinched the same, while the Lost Desert and the Haunted Woods both had successes in Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown. Shenkuu, however, defeated Mystery Island in every game save Make Some Noise.
The skirmish between Virtupets and the Haunted Woods resulted in a profuse stream of binary erupting from the Robots' fans. Although the passion for the heated Yooyuball match was there, it wasn't enough to outdo the howling of the Haunted Woods' supporters. Goltron Mk I, of Virtupets fame, translated their fans' ardor into their game strategy -- on his part, he let few Yooyus past his outstretched arms. Though the team hasn't yet seen a second championship run, Goltron Mk I refuses to let any rough seasons drag them down. Thus, taking Yooyuball and Slushie Slinger from higher-ranked Team Haunted Woods is certainly notable. As for the Zombies, they still remain ahead in the bracket -- and will if they continue to win enough important matches.
Brightvale outsmarted their opponent, the Lost Desert, by edging out in Yooyuball and leading comfortably in Slushie Slinger. The Mummies, however, wound up the match by bandaging their wounds and persevering through the match in order to secure the Make Some Noise and Shootout Showdown wins. The Wizards have had a decent performance since the start of the round, but they are still trailing the Haunted Woods in the bracket. Those two teams are meeting for the first time today, and the outcome will prove whether or not Brightvale has the means to bolster their current standing. As for the Lost Desert, it seems that even a marginal improvement has done wonders to their morale. By reforming from their poor start to the tournament, they've managed to raise themselves up toward a better ranking.
The Ninjas have had an excellent start to the fourth round, with only two losses so far. Mystery Island, however, continues to fall behind, although the Natives staved off a second sweep with a win in Make Some Noise. Shenkuu's performance has vastly improved from earlier rounds, and is certainly a refreshing change as the second half of the tournament draws closer to its end. Meanwhile, Mystery Island needs to revamp their game strategy if they wish to get out of the mire that's keeping them down. The fifth round has yet to transpire, so there's no shame in exploring new ways of garnering wins.

I'm live from a cave in Altador, where I am hiding out from authorities. Apparently it's illegal to blow things up, even if you claim it's for special effects purposes. Once again it appears I'm a man on the run, and NO ONE will stop me. Aside from all the commotion, we had an amazing day in the Vaeolus Bracket.
Altador pulled the old sweep swop deepity dop over the Knights from Meridell. The Suns pulled quite a few impressive victories, winning all their games with nine points or more. Continuing to sweep through the competition, they are definitely poised for a podium spot this year. Meridell, on the contrary, is struggling to stay in contention. These next few days will be absolutely crucial for both teams.
Kiko Lake pulled a near sweep swop deepity dop over Krawk Island, only falling short in Shootout Showdown. The Kikos, pulling off one of their most impressive victories of the year, ousted Krawk island six to five in a come from behind victory. "Poke" Cellers tacked four goals to his season total, including the game-winner. Even with the loss, Krawk Island did not lose much ground, as they still sit in fourth place in one of the toughest brackets we've seen all year.
And in the biggest surprise of the day, red has finally found the Fossils and crashed them back down to earth. Tyrannia is now officially the last team to lose a game in the Cup. Roo Island was able to topple the once undefeated team in Slushie Slinger and Shootout Showdown. While they did lose both games, Tyrannia still maintains lead of the Vaeolus Bracket and the overall first place ranking. Still, this looks like it could be one of the greatest upsets in Cup history. We'll see how the impact of such a monumental upset will affect both of these teams as we see the Cup progress into its final stages.
Now, we go into the matches to watch.
Kreludor will take on Darigan Citadel later on this evening. In a game that pits two of the top eight teams in the Cup against each other, neither team has the clear advantage. Although the Minions did take away a win earlier in the Cup, Kreludor has a great amount of momentum gathered and could push Darigan Citadel to the end. This may be one of the most exciting games we see tonight!
Haunted Woods will take on Brightvale tonight. Both teams have been largely inconsistent this year, but we've seen both come up with enormous victories. Haunted Woods is currently leading the Minitheus Bracket, with Brightvale trailing closely behind. If Brightvale can take out the Zombies, the chemistry of the bracket could be changed greatly.
The game of the night will be a rematch between two of the top teams in the Cup: newfound powerhouse Altador will take on former champion Roo Island. The Rooligans were able to give Altador their second side game loss of the season last time, but couldn't get the energy to top them in anything else. Now, they're coming into the day with a lot of momentum after they took a few games from the previously unbeaten Tyrannians. Don't be surprised if Roo Island gives Altador their first overall loss of the season tonight. Altador versus Roo Island could be the game of the Cup so far.

Kinda surprised we got the SS win as well, but to be honest, it's not THAT big of a suspect. The highest SS score we've gotten is 7 and yesterday we got an 8. It wasn't a big jump or anything, plus TY has previously gotten scores of 10, 11, and 12 in SS, so I'm sure they could've defeated us, but I guess they just didn't focus on it.
I'm not sure what our team strategy was on the boards, but the boards don't cover everyone on our team. Personally, my strategy was SS and SoSd, because I felt that there was a higher possibility of taking SS instead of YYB, seeing how their SS scores fluctuate a bit. Plus it seems that no matter how much we focus on YYB, we only get a score of 6.
Oh, good point, jcpet. Their claim did seem a bit suspect to me because you get assigned a random team if you join after the tournament starts, so that's a lot of fake accounts to get enough RI ones to start doing damage. Besides, Altador is helped more by them getting points than by Tyrannia losing a game or two against us, because we're not subtracting points from Tyrannia.
I wonder if the stinkers made it up to try to detract from our own efforts and bring us into suspicion. If so, it worked. :(
