On August 3, we lost network connectivity to TDN's main server. Unfortunately, this was caused by human error at the datacenter. When we first went offline, they were unable to provide an explanation. Once they found the problem, they were very slow to fix it. I'm sure that you're getting the picture: TDN had a very unreliable host.
 
The Daily Neopets has been moved to a new location now that will be much more reliable. Whenever sites are moved, some things break. If you happen to spot anything that seems out of order, please Contact Us right away.
 
I would also like to mention that our Facebook and Twitter pages are great ways to stay connected with TDN when we're offline. We'll be posting updates on these pages.

Mostly people just lost interest. It happens. Also with all the really good hatcheries that are up now there's no need to depend on views from various forums to hatch your eggs. If you want to start a new one you're free to.

Woot! The crane came down when I had 248. I was like, please, please, please, let me be able to keep them all on the table until Florg eats one! Final score: 261. Woohoo! This one was a long time coming. I knew I had a good shot when I lost my third life at 165. I think the key is to just keep playing, and eventually you'll get a game where they all cooperate and let you keep them on the table.

I'm happy with my bronze trophy. Joining Roo next year as we will need the help.

If you position your mouse just right, you can water two flowers at once. It's also quicker to water all your flowers, then cut the flower heads, so you don't have to switch between tools as much. Hope that helps. ^_^

The highlight for me was seeing that RI took a game from Tyrannia, and in general, during those 5 days of the bracket from... Dr. Sloth, when Rooligans banded together day after day to set personal record after personal record, making sure we earned third place. I achieved All Star (while sending the highest scores possible in each game, too, whereas before that I was mostly sending minimums, especially in SOSD) about 5 or 6 days earlier than I should have, thanks to that one bracket, and I would never have been able to sustain that effort without the encouragement and work of my fellow Rooligans. It was truly a team effort, and it reminded me once again why I'll always be a Rooligan* -- we work hard and believe that our hard work will pay off, even against alleged cheating. But we try to be friendly and helpful to all, Rooligan or not.
 
All teams had their moments: Brightvale being the first team to take a game from Altador; Shenkuu taking a game from us in our second meeting; Terror Mountain's incredible run (and their supporters taking it in stride through the allegations of cheaters' assistance, but still working their butts off once the cheaters seemed to be frozen, keeping up their new-found dominance without the unwanted "help"); Kiko Lake holding its own (and then some!) in the bracket from Dr. Sloth; Altador making sure to shut us out during our second match-up (bittersweet for us, of course, but total respect for them taking us seriously the second time, even though we were coming off our battle with Tyrannia and totally exhausted -- we gave it our all, anyway, and Altador did, too, giving us our only total loss for the season); even the poor loyal Tyrannians whose long-desired victory was tainted by unwanted "help" (but who still worked hard for their team). I'm sure I'm forgetting others, but this post is long enough!
 
*I joined the Rooligans in AC3 because they were fun and team-oriented. After being on the winning team and noting that the second place team had always won the next year (up to that point), I joined someone else AC4, only to see that "rule" fall apart, and missing the camaraderie of the Rooligans. After that, I've been a Rooligan ever since.

When trying to update my gallery "thanks" page (for gifts/donations), I got a message that I couldn't use profanity. They helpfully provided the word "kik" which was actually part of the image URL for an item. I had to google it to even figure out why it was considered "bad," then sent in a ticket asking for them to either whitelist the image name or change it so users could post the image. They said they'd look into it.
 
Anyway, if they thought you were trying to get around the filters to use a racial slur, that might have been the reason for the permasilence, though trying to contact people outside Neo is also a pretty big deal. Your best bet is to explain that you'd never heard of that other usage of it and were just asking whether your friend heard of the app. If you didn't explicitly give your contact info or ask for theirs, you could explain that you were just asking for feedback (or trying to share your excitement about how cool it is). If you did give/ask for info, say that you understand why it was wrong and that you're really sorry and will never do it again, if they would consider shortening the silencing to a shorter period. Emphasize that you had NO idea it was any kind of slur since you'd only heard it in the context of the app (and why would they name an app after a slur?), and you would never ever use such language, on Neopets or anywhere. Hope you can get it reversed.

Gambled a bunch yesterday and got second place nerkmid trophy. :D Only lost a bit because I tried for gold. I spent about 7 m and got 6.5 m back.

I got lent Super Attack Pea today. That enough wouldve made my day but the lender gave me her SF code a few months back, (I didnt know she lended suap) she let me use her BD set to beat SF. She trusted me with suap twice. xD
