Nope, it's the same account that bought it from me yesterday on SSW at least - I just removed the username to prevent any fallback on the individual as it's a perfectly legal tactic, if a little underhanded!! I don't want to be the cause of someone receiving hate neomail or something daft!! The highest on SSW yesterday was 220,000np or something like that. The lowest before I put mine in were 97,000np and 99,999np, so I undercut by a smidgeon of the lowest price. There were seven in total I think before I put mine in? The last price JN have on it is from March so perhaps they haven't checked it since? I wouldn't know how to go about reporting an item to them!! *edited as I'd got the lowest prices wrong!

So, I was going through my SDB to see if there was anything worthwhile in there amidst the junk I'm collecting for Charity Corner. I came across the Foil Covered Chocolate Altador Cup Trophy and whistled happily as I put the three that I'd got in my shop at the cheapest Super Shop Wizard price: I then checked Jellyneo and though, oh they'll never sell. Three months ago they were less than 3000np. Figured I'd leave them in there for now and just keep checking the price to see if it went back down. Within 24 hours all three were gone. As indeed were every other item on the SSW. And now the only item listed? Names removed to protect the party concerned.

As it's going to be a while before I get my lutari painted Maraquan I decided to liven him up a little and got this in the process:

It is, isn't it!! I'm thinking save to a set amount like 25 million (which will take a while on its own, particularly if my poor run at food club continues!) then buy a single high ticket item. Then save til the next landmark, say 35 million and buy another high ticket item... reward myself for saving. I have a few of those hanging around that I bought an age and a half ago. That's not a bad idea at all - if I can get the Maraquan paint job out of it that cuts the price down by 7 million alone!

I hadn't seen the burlap colour before. I can't decide if I think it's hideous or unique enough to count as strangely cute!! I've been wondering if they'll try and theme it this year. I suppose all we can do is wait and see! I'm certainly not going to have enough points to get stuff to keep and sell, so I think I'll be going with the keep option!! The stamps and the books are almost always the items worth the most in the long term - particularly once the rush of sellers have disappeared and you have those few left who waited!!

Still no explosion but it happened again! But I'm starting to look at my stamp collection again , so I've just kissed 170,000np goodbye. Thankfully I won a nerkmid from Jetsam Ace so I'm not too haunted by my decision!

So I've just checked out my Premium Journal and it looks as though you can keep track of what items your pets have worn at any one time in case you want to come back to them!

Yeah, good catch. I hadn't considered the age of the account which was rather daft of me. I think I assume everyone gets lucky and can get into their old account which is patently not true! And also yes. I had a complete flop yesterday. Garet skipped a day and I decided I wanted to go ahead anyway... hey ho!

Neither did I til I did some digging!! I’m glad I didn’t just use it willy nilly before reading up on it!! I now have 364 days to wait... I have to admit, I tend to go for the canine or other four legged creature. Or ones with no hands at all like the peophin. The exceptions are my lutari, but he’s going to be Maraquan when I have saved some more and therefore won’t have hands anymore!! And my Elephante, but I plan to morph her into a Gelert!!

Hah! Can’t blame you! I don’t think I’d want to change colour after knowing all the effort that was put in to get it!! The prizes in general have decreased in points over the years, along I assume with the game caps. Those much higher points values seem to correlate to earlier years when the cap either didn’t exist or was in the hundreds or even thousands rather than this years 46.

So, I've been thinking about buying Premium for a while. I like the idea of an extra pet spot, it will be used for a draik. And lockdown means I have some spare cash floating around. I've also had a Jetsam on my hands that I quite liked the name of, but Jetsam's aren't really my thing. I then learned that you get a species change with Premium. More importantly, most importantly, if your pet is in a colour that your new species doesn't have, you get to change it to any colour you want!!! So. For 180,000np I bought a water Kau morphing potion. My Jetsam very briefly turned into a water cow. He was rather affronted at this. But then, then, I bought Premium for a month. I will likely upgrade it to a four month plan later, but for the moment a month was all I needed. And I clicked 'species change'. And I clicked 'Poogle'. And I got told that water doesn't exist for Poogle so would I like to change my colour to one that can be used for this species. And I said yes please, thank you, I would like that very much. I think... I think... I'll have THIS ONE! Once I have the Slorg avatar I will then put him with a plushie petpet and he will have gone from my most bemoaned pet to my favourite pet in the whole darn universe! He is a tiny bit confused from all the shape shifting, but he'll get over it! Edit: Now customised to my happiness. I want the Dapper Poogle Hat, but I think I'll wait for the inflation to go down on that particular item first!

Well, we're coming into the final week and I know m y mind is set on the prize shop hanging at the end of this. Particularly as the games are now definitely more of a chore than any entertainment!! So, what's everybody hoping for or playing for? When I started this year, I was aiming for the paint brush, but I'm more interested in the yooyu now. I might have been very tempted to bite if Maraqua were in the lead and there was the potential of a Maraquan paint brush. But otherwise, I think the only two paint brushes I'd be tempted by would be Oil and Halloween as those are on the cards for my pets anyway. I'm then hoping to tot up enough points for the stamp and the books... this may be a tiny bit ambitious I admit considering my current points!!

At least it's not just me... I've been getting blank pages today as well. Maybe it's a mix between increased traffic and if they are still working on updating the site behind the scenes.

Last year the paint brush was 9000 points, so with a handful of games over and above All-Star you should be there if they stick with the same prize points. I've managed to max out YYB and SOSD most days, although today is the first weekend I've played. I'm usually done by 5-6pm my time (9-10am NST) and I've play throughout the day whenever I don't have to get any work done. I've taken weekends off up til now though as the burnout is real! Bleeding heck that must have taken a huge amount of effort, particularly as the caps were so much higher in years gone by!! I think my best was AC 5 with 1135 YYB games played. I took a full week off work for that as well!! Yeah, initially I was doing what I used to do and taking three games of SOSD whenever the Darigan ball came in but it was highlighted to me that TNT frown deeply on that kind of behaviour now! The RECaptchas are definitely an obstacle. I tend to max out the two without and then if I have time, play as many games of MSN as I can stand before I start getting checked after every game and my patience disappears into the ether. That tends to be about 60-70 games.

Yep, my problem is going to be that the yooyu is the prize I've set my heart on this year! I mean, in reality I've fallen in love with the Robot Yooyu and the Tyrannian Yooyu, but the price of them is prohibitive to say the least!! It'll be just my luck that they don't release one this year as well!! I'm at about 10,500 points so far - ignore my counter, I remember to update it eventually! - so I need another 6000 points or so to get the yooyu, stamps and books... I'll either have to play a weekend or two, or I'll have to set my hopes lower!! And of course, I am basing this all of last year. They could decide to be evil and double the required points or something. I wouldn't past it to throw in a curve ball or two.

The neomail said I had a warning strike. I don't think you can see a list of your strikes or anything so I don't know...

You're right - I got 9000 and 8000 confused in my head when typing. Trying to do two things at once is never a good idea! I did calculate it correctly mind you, just typed it wrong. 12 points per YYB game, 6 per SS and 1 for MSN and SOSD. Looking at last years prizes the stamp was 4000 and the the two books in the higher category were 2500 and 1000 each; I had also missed the cheap book at 80 points. So you'd need 7630 points for them all.

So today I seem to be hitting an unnerving number of glitches on neopets - scores not sending, controls going wonky in the middle of a Yooyuball game. Any one else struggling or is it just me?

Again, working from last years prizes you'll need about 7500 points for that - aim for 8000 for safety! You can get that by hitting All-Star safely! Congratulations! I'm at nearly 4000 games total so far!

If it helps think of the prizes. That little yooyu from last year is worth 3.9 million neopoints alone...!!

Made it today and went on to max out SOSD as well so double win. I now definitely have enough points for a yooyu if the prizes are the same cost as last year. Just to keep going so I can get the stamp and the books if possible now! Keep going. Just think. Less than two weeks left!! But yes, it's rather more demoralising to have to max out one game and a half of another to rank up. It was worse in previous years though!! I mean the top prizes used to be 40,000 points rather than 18000 for the top clothes items and 9000 for the yooyu and paint brush!

I managed to max YYB and SOSD yesterday and play about 120 games of MSN until the CAPCHA's drove me away. Looking at last years prize shop, the two items I would have gone for are 9000 points each - and it would be more cost effective to just buy the paint brush!! So, I guess it'll be see what paint brush is released, otherwise I'll want the Yooyu and then see if I have enough points for the stamp and books. The plushie again will be buyable if it's the same number of points approximately! I've already purchased last years for well under 200,000np. The two big items last year were wearables which don't interest me for the number of points involved. So my goal is to get myself a yooyu if possible for 9000 and then see how many extras I have managed to grind up! I tend to play 3-1 so I have two main goal scorers. I occasionally mix it up by putting a 1-3 game in when I'm getting bored!! I do love Tandrak Shaye though - he's one of the scorers in the 1-3 formation and made me realise how gorgeous the Darigan Gelert design is!
