It would appear that the Christmas Magic Wand and other items like it most likely affect some hidden value of Neopets based on their natures. This would most likely be based on the characteristics of the Neopet in relation to the characteristics of the item (my Gelert has used Magic Wand in the past with no visible affect but after I used it recently its' HP somehow increased from 36 to 40 despite being Level 18 without a Faerie Quest). I've tried using the Christmas Magic Wand on my newly "created" Neopet who recently became Lutari but there hasn't been a visible affect so far. I'll update this post with new screenshots if anything changes for Theohopeus via the Christmas Magic Wand during his journeys. Houndkid the Gelert: Theohopeus the Lutari:

The 25th Anniversary Bori is nice! The orange color is fun, same with the little accessories! The Castle Planner Outfit is quite good. Most of the pieces are just ok for me, but the hair is rather beautiful! A lovely day for the Bori!

The Toy Eyrie is nice, I like that it's based on a Darigan Eyrie, that's pretty neat! Though, I do wish the beak was a different color than the ruff. To me, it feels like they sort of blend together! The Golden Eyrie Outfit is delightful! A pretty simple concept, but each piece is very pretty. A great day, Eyries!
