I'm fighting right now, for a while there I was worried something was broken because the tier 3 opponent wasn't doing any damage to me at all, and I wasn't using Lens Flare yet, but it seems it was just a particularly lame weapon combo that he chose for our first 2 sorties as things are normal now.
